FULL PARADE ATTIRE!!!!!!
Please have your 40SC pink blouse, 40SC black jacket, black felt hat or helmet, fuchsia wild rag, blue jeans. Horse needs 40SC black saddle pad, pink polo wraps. Depending on weather you can layer under parade attire. Gloves to be handed out at parade if they are to be used.
Please have your waivered filled out and either back to your Queen or mail them to FWSSR. I have placed the link below for you. They are due by Nov 30th, NO fax or email entries will be excepted. More information as it comes to us will be posted!
- All parade participants must review and sign a Participant Release Form. Release Forms must accompany the organization’s application at time of submission.
- Participants must carefully read and abide by all Parade rules.
- Health Papers: All horses and other equine are required to have proper health papers to participate in the parade or enter staging area. Riders must be in possession of health papers at all times. See ” Official Health Requirements” as provided in the application information for mandatory health requirements on horses and other equine.

1/15/24 Update: Since we had to reschedule the January 13, 2024 FYFS and Browband Workshops to January 27, 2024, Cowgirl Liz has offered to host our January meeting at her house in conjunction with the other events. Our January meeting will be held at 12:30. Immediately following the meeting will be the FYFS workshop and then, browband making.
Please email for location and additional information. This meeting will be held at a private residence, and we will not be publicly posting the address.
Due to weather, this event has been rescheduled from 1/13/24 to 1/27/24.
One of our cowgirls is hosting a equitation workshop at 1 PM at her private residence. At 3 PM, the same member will host a browband making workshop. Space available for 6-10 participants. Cost is about $10 for leather, plus any bling you would like to add.

Come out and join in on the celebration at the VA Hospital in Big Spring. The new community center on the VA campus is done and we were invited to attend. All Cowgirls are welcome. Pink button down shirts please… Hats optional as we will be inside.

Horse Course serves as the main fundraiser for the Student Chapter of AAEP (Equine Veterinary Club) at WSU, allowing us students the opportunity to host labs that let us practice skills like dental exams, ultrasound exams, and joint injections. We appreciate your interest in supporting our club!

Barn Dance & Line Dancing Lessons at Granville (Granite Falls) Grange Hall! Doors open at 6pm & Line Dancing Lessons start at 7pm until 9pm. Open dancing between lessons and at 9pm. Miller Meats Food Truck will be set up and serving great food starting at 4pm. This is a FREE event open to every one of all ages!! POP UP vendors will also be on site! We will be riding from Gentry Wimberely’s house to Canyon Road Bar and Grill. This will be a 6-7 mile ride with drink stops if needed. we are planning to unload at Gentrys then convoying trucks and trailers to Canyon Road we will have a cowgirl uber to take the drivers who are also riding back to the horses. Calling all Cowgirls, We are bringing our horses to the VA hospital for some outside therapy for our favorite group of veterans. If you are interested, please only bring a CALM horse… The horses will be groomed, walked out and loved on, no riding. ALL Cowgirls are encouraged to join us, especially if you are not bringing a horse, we need hands on the ground.. Please wear pink button downs, hats optional…We will park in the back west end parking lot…
2 hours of beginning and intermediate line dance lessons!
Rendezvous is a state sponsored event put on by Back Country Horsemen of Washington that is open to the public. This is a non-riding event. We offer educational classes, shopping, social and informative events and seminars. There are no fees for anything other than the Saturday nights catered dinner and the on-site camping. What is Rendezvous??
Rider Fee: $550 for two days
Auditor Fee: $30/day
Stall rentals: $25/day
Dry camping available or many hotels near by.
Lunch provided for participants. Hook ups are VERY LIMITED: $30/day
Participants please bring your own hay, water buckets and muck items. The owner of temporary stalled horse must provide all care for horse. All horses coming to Cornerstone Ranch must be up to date on all vaccinations and record will be asked for.

ABOUT RICKY QUINN
Ricky Quinn was raised in Wyoming where he grew up around horses and other livestock. When Ricky was a teenager he met Buck Brannaman at a horsemanship clinic. Meeting Buck greatly impacted the direction of Ricky’s life. He knew that there was something unique about Buck and his ability with horses. After high school, Ricky moved to Montana where he worked on a ranch for nine years starting colts, learning horsemanship, and caring for cattle as he continued his study of true horsemanship.
Today, Ricky travels throughout the United States and Internationally teaching horsemanship. Ricky and his wife own a ranch in North Platte, Nebraska where they are raising a family while buying and selling stocker cattle. Ricky is around livestock everyday whether it’s on the road helping people with horses or at home weaning a fresh set of calves. Ricky’s life experiences and his study of the teachings of Tom Dorrance, Ray Hunt, and Buck Brannaman have taught him that animals want to be treated a certain way and that horses in particular are very aware of the feeling a person offers them.
Ricky teaches the mechanics of properly riding and operating a horse, but he also teaches the people what it means to feel of a horse. Once a person experiences a horse responding to their feel, the opportunity for self-improvement and for positive change is incredible. When we become the person that our horse enjoys, we feel better and it usually benefits and lifts all other areas of our life including our interaction with our family, friends, and other human beings.”
