Division 4 Founder’s Award

The  Founder’s Award is a special recognition of the 40 Something Cowgirl Spirit.  It represents the strength and integrity it takes to be a cowgirl. A Cowgirls who is genuine and inspires those around her to saddle up and follow their dreams. Congratulations Cowgirl!

Name   Chapter Award
1) Kay Eppenauer  Abilene, TX  Trophy Buckle

kay and friendsA true Cowgirl, heart and soul, Kay Eppenauer lives and breathes the Cowgirl life everyday. On or off the ranch, Kay’s cowgirl spirit inspires those around her to take part in this crazy little thing called life. Kay joined the Abilene, TX chapter in January of 2014 and in 2015 she joined the royal court by becoming one of the two Princesses for that chapter.  Working side by side with her Queen and co-princess Kay has helped grow the Abilene Chapter into the active chapter it is today. Kay also played a major role in the startup of a Cowgirls Chapter in Stephenville, TX and most recently in Midland, TX. With all this going on you still will not find Kay sitting around waiting for things to happen. Along with everything else going on in 2015 she lead the largest local fundraiser for a Cowgirls Chapter by producing the first annual 40 Something Cowgirls, 4D Barrel Race. Hoping for at least 90 runs, the Barrel race exceeded even Kay’s expectations by booking over 200 runs and raising over $3000 for her chapter’s slush fund. Juggling work, school, kids and 40 Something Cowgirls, Kay defines the Cowgirl Spirit and is a  true representation of what 40 Something Cowgirls is all about. Congratulations Kay and Thank you for all that you do, not only for 40SC but for all of those around you!
