Our members are the most generous and are constantly making a difference in their local communities.
Rogue Valley, OR
The Rogue Valley, OR chapter of 40 Something Cowgirls hosted two events to raise money for a local injured cowboy and his family. At the first event the Rogue Valley Chapter of cowgirls hosted a raffle and donation booth during an annual tack sale. The second event consisted of a one day Packing Clinic and BBQ.
10 Chapter members logged a total of 63 volunteer hours.
Vancouver, WA
Agua Dulce, CA
The Dusty Saddlebags, Agua Dulce, CA chapter of 40 Something Cowgirls hosted and event to benefit NBCF. The Chapter offered a trail ride through Vasquez Rock or a choice of a hike or nature walk. $20 per person included lunch. The first 100 received a gift. There were raffle prizes and silent auction items. Over 100 horse and riders supported this event and 40-50 hikers. The event was promoted by doing a morning radio show, NBC news in Los Angeles also was present and filmed activities.
14 Chapter members logged a total of 365 volunteer hours
Agua Dulce, CA
The Dusty Saddlebags, Agua Dulce, CA chapter of 40 Something Cowgirls sponsored a mobile blood bus to benefit the blood bank for Childrens Hospital of Los Angeles. Many Chapter members showed up to donate blood, members greeted donors, assisted with documentation and snacks for donors. They had almost 50 donations. Each donation is equivalent to two units of blood. The Chapter intends to host this type event again in the future.
14 Chapter members participated in this event which logged a total of 42 volunteer hours.
