Division 4 Founders Award

Name Chapter Award
1.) Lalita Share Agua Dulce, CA Trophy Buckle

Lalita Share

To say that Lalita has had a trying year would honestly be the understatement of the year. A true Cowgirl, with grit, determination and grace. Lalita continues to smile through the most trying times. As Princess of the Agua Dulce, CA Chapter Lalita has continued to fulfill her royal duties despite what life has been throwing at her. Seeing her husband Ben through major health issues then losing his horse to colic, Lalita remains tireless and full of grace. One thing after the other the entire year and yet she continues to support everyone around her including her 40SC Chapter.

Lalita’s loyalty and dedication for our National Organization is infectious, she does truly live and breathe the cowgirl spirit no matter what challenges life presents. Her beautiful smile fills the room when she enters and the hearts around her on the trail.

We are so very proud to call Lalita a friend, a cowgirl and a Royal!

Congratulations Lalita and Thank you for all that you do, not only for 40 Something Cowgirls but for everyone around you!

Special Recognition: Iron Cowgirl Award

Name Chapter Award
1.) Lucy Whitmire Breckenridge, TX Trophy Buckle

Lucy Whitmire

A member of the Breckenridge, TX Chapter, Lucy is the go-there, do-everything kinda gal. Athlete, fitness enthusiast, horse trainer, rancher, business owner she is pictured here on her grey gelding, her go-to horse, Hank. He is always ready to go and do whatever Lucy has in store for him.

On September 15 of this year, Lucy was in a horrific ranch accident that left her with a broken back. She is currently in a wheelchair, working full time while keeping up with her physical therapy. Her spirits are always high. She refuses to let anything slow her down, “rocking and rolling her way through this part of her life”, she says.

Keeping her chin up and goals high! She aims not simply to walk again but to be back in the saddle with Hank, hitting the show ring and on the trails with her cowgirls.

We are so very proud of you Lucy! You got this girl!!  It is a pleasure to call you a friend and an iron cowgirl member.
