The Ranch

Family owned and operated by 40SC founders Ted & Kristi Williams the Lazy TK was established in 1999 as a working horse and cattle ranch in Stephens County, TX, southwest of Breckenridge, TX and approximately 90 miles west of Ft Worth. The ranch has played host to many guests and events including 95.1 The Wolf Radio’s party bus event, the summer of 2003. The ranch is also the main venue for the 40 Something Cowgirls Annual Royal Retreat. (A leadership and team building weekend balanced with new friends and new experiences wrapped in Texas flair.)

Along with open range pastures the TK is an active equine facility incorporating a large 240′ x 320′ arena, (large enough to host multiple events at the same time), a 150′ round cutting arena, a 45′ solid- wall breaking pen and a 6 horse 60′ hot walker all under stadium lighting. Included also is an 11 stall horse barn with tack and bathroom. 6 stalls have 60′ outdoor runs. There are multiple lots and pens for horses and/or cattle also available on the grounds. Plenty of trails for riding or walking with natural obstacles bringing nature to the forefront. Deer, dove, turkey and hog are regularly spotted, fishing is also available in multiple stock tanks (ponds) on the property.

The TK is also known for it’s expansive Ranch House and Homestead House that is open to the public to rent either by the room or the entire house. (Available to 40SC members at a members only discounted rate.) RV hookups are also available as well as dry camping.

A visit to the Lazy TK is a great getaway for family or corporate retreats. The ranch house sleeps a total of 16 comfortably, has a fully functioning extra large kitchen, two full bathrooms and the best view of the ranch. Come stay for a rest, for lessons, for a clinic or other special event!
