The Caddo National Grasslands WMA is located in Fannin County about 70 miles northeast of Dallas near Bonham. From Dallas take US 75 north for 35 miles to the SH 121 exit going to Bonham, another 35 miles to Bonham, and then about 15-20 miles northeast of Bonham to the WMA. SH 121 connects to US 82 at Bonham. Stay on US 82 18 miles to Honey Grove.

Join us for Amy Weber’s Birthday and tackle the Hot Chocolate Run at Fair Park in Dallas!! Amy has completed this a couple of times and has good advice. Sign up early and take advantage of early sign-up Discounts… by December 3rd for best discount!! If you do not want to participate, you can come, shop at the Vendor Expo, and cheer others at the Finish Line. You should also know, parking is very crowded. Get there early and be prepared. Cowgirl Jennie Vayo is setting up an opportunity for you to participate in a Night Ride Obstacle Clinic at Legacy Ranch in Lone Oak. This Clinic will be offered by Hunt County Sheriff’s Posse, under the direction of David and Terry Rogers. It is limited to ten (10) riders, so sign-up quickly. If weather is prohibitive, it will be rescheduled. Come on out… new opportunity, new experience!!

Check in at the office to show proof of negative coggins, and pay the $5/person park entrance fee.
Make a U-turn around the office and go back out to the highway. Go Left for 1 mile. Lake entrance is on the right. We park near the swimming area or in the first boat ramp parking lot.
The trail is a 2 hour ride. Bathrooms are close to parking. Yes, there are areas where you can water your horse.

Since we are all trying to save some $$s for one reason or another, Maria and Whispering Oaks Farm & Ranch have offered to Host a barn “Watch Party” for The American Performance Horseman. (The Globe Life tickets with any decent view are high, and their refreshments are as well.) This competition will be aired by Fox Sports 1, so check your local listings.
The greats will be in class competitions, including but not limited to, Casey Deary, Cade McCutcheon, Sarah Dawson, Andrea Fappani, Corey Cushing and Jason Vanlandingham!! There are 5 designated Teams of 3 each competing, so this will take a while. In the meantime, so much fun to be had!! Contact Maria or me for details. Bring your favorite chairs and dress as needed for the barn and weather!!

Rocking RJ Ranch – Stephenville: Ribbons, Cows and Fun and good food!!First show is March 16. There will be a cow practice on Friday starting at 4. Bring your trainer or just practice following a cow. Each cow is $20.

Books open at 9AM, Events begin at 10AM. Age groups are 6 & Under, 7-12, 13-18, 19-39, 40 & Over. Classes include Poles, Straighaway Barrels, Cloverleaf Barrels, plus 2 Mystery Classes.
Playday Series dates include March 2 & 16, April 6 & 27, May 11 & 25, and June 15 & 29. High point Buckles will be given for each age group! **MUST ATTEND 6 OUT OF 8 PLAYDAYS IN THE SERIES TO QUALIFY FOR END OF SERIES AWARDS.**
Cost is $10 per Class or $40 for 5 Classes. Payment due in Cash or Zelle.

Farmersville will be attending a Progressive Series of Liberty Training presented by East Texas Liberty and hosted by Sherri Gerstenkorn. Each Clinic session is $150. Audit is allowed at $50 per person and will give you a birds-eye perspective of the process! If this is a success and more interest is created, Sherri may offer this Series on a Monthly basis in conjunction with East Texas Liberty. Please feel free to contact Sherri!
