this event has been cancelled due to the impending weather , a cold front with strong winds
it’ll be a warm and sunny day to get and enjoy the trails at Lake Proctor

Trail ride is rated easy with some areas that will have small hills , sand and gravel

Platter Flats on Lake Texoma is a BEAUTIFUL place to ride. The trails are fairly easy through the woods and along the lake. The footing is sandy. Pack a snack to stop midway at Rooster’s Roost with a gorgeous view overlooking the lake, with a picnic table and hitching posts.
I have set up a clinic and campout with Robbie at his place for 40SC Members. Clinic will focus on horsemanship and communication with your horse and Robbie will work with each person on where they are with their horse. We will also work a little on trail, obstacle, flag/cow work and setting your horse up for success.
There is a hotel close if you don’t have a LQ trailer. Limited spots available so contact me ASAP to register. We will also take a run over to Teskeys for a little tack shopping as the ranch is close to Weatherford. Once we know who all is going we will do a little more planning for meals, etc.

Lake Protor ride in Comanche is both beautiful and scenic
ride last about an hour and a half and is rated easy with some rocks and sand
Plenty of parking for your truck and trailers
Afterwards we’ll head over to Miguel’s Mexican Restaurant in Comanche , just a few minutes away …. Lunch is Dutch

Meal provided by Church when done (approx. 3:00 p.m.)
Draw Pot Ranch Rodeo – 6:00 p.m.
Sunday – Church Service In Arena 8:45 a.m.

Friends along with the Army Corps Of Engineers of Lake Proctor will erected a sign dedicated in honor of Dr Conway.

several trainers will be there to help you through the different stages

now that the weather has cooled off a bit , it’s time to hit the trails again
lake proctor has beautiful scenic views , and if were lucky we might just see the American eagles flying near the lake

Bring the family out and spend some time at Santa’s Country Christmas with us riding through 2 miles of lights on your horses! You might even get to see Santa Claus!! Ride out at 7:00 pm. $10 per horse. Cash or card accepted.
