Trail ride at the back side of Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest, exploring new areas and trails. Lady Splipper and Lake Russell trails are nestled amongst the beautiful foothills of Northeast Georgia. Meeting at the end of the road of Cannon Rd, which is just past Frady Branch Equine main trail parking.

Day trail ride at Frady Branch – Chattahoochee National Forest, Toccoa, Ga. – 14.5 miles of trails and four separate loops to explore. Meet at the trailhead parking area at 10 am. There is a
$ 5-a-day use fee which you can buy a yearly pass from USDA Forest Service. Bring lunch, snacks, and drinks. See ya on the trail
** Make note that this ride is rescheduled from February 17th to March 3rd** We are going to hope for good weather so that we can get out and ride so come join us if you can!! Weather permitting we will meet up at 10am to ride out at 10:30. Hope to see you there!

We will be riding from Gentry Wimberely’s house to Canyon Road Bar and Grill. This will be a 6-7 mile ride with drink stops if needed. we are planning to unload at Gentrys then convoying trucks and trailers to Canyon Road we will have a cowgirl uber to take the drivers who are also riding back to the horses. Meet at Bland High School to saddle up. Come out and join us on the trails! With the weather becoming warmer, let’s get out and ride!

Day trail ride off Cannon Rd & FR 92E- Chattahoochee National Forest, Toccoa, Ga. – meet at 10am, saddle up and head out exploring the endless trails, waterfalls, and forest roads. Bring lunch, snacks, and water. Dogs allowed in this area. Trails are easy and shoes not needed here.
Meet at Whetstone parking area at 10:30, we’ll saddle up ride out to Adeline and possibly cross river if super low, if not we’ll make loop and go out through Spring house, climb the ridge and head back to parking area. 5 to 6 hr ride so bring food, lunch, snacks, and a lot of water. Trails are easy to moderate in difficulty.

Meet at Whetstone Parking lot at 10:30, we’ll cross the river at Earls Ford into Georgia and ride entire big loop on Georgia side. We’ll follow river trail from Adeline and back down to Earls for crossing back over river back into South Carolina and back to parking area. Bring tons of snacks, lunch, and water. Shoes recommended on Ga side, trails are easy to moderate difficulty.

Macon County Horse Association Spring Fun Show. 10 a.m. at Fairgrounds. There will be all the normal fun show activities plus speed events. Come out and play with your horses and challenge yourself with these fun games. There will be a concession stand with food & drinks so remember to bring cash. I would suggest lawn chairs, coolers with water & drink, snacks, and plenty of stuffed hay bags. You can even bring pop-up shade tents.. contact me or Lynda for info and/or directions. Meet on the entrance road, at the old field parking area just before horse camp, past the day parking area. we’ll ride the entire big loop out to the river and follow the river down to Earl’s
Ford river crossing area then return up to FR to parking area. Bring tons of snacks, lunch, and water. Shoes recommended on Ga side, trails are easy to moderate difficulty.

Franklin cowgirls meet at Ingles in Clayton at 9am, and Georgia & SC Cowgirls meet at 10:30 at forest 92E – come in on Cannon Road off Hwy 80 turn right on first forest road on right go down turn around on loop and line up heading outward for pairking,
Secret Waterfall trail is outside the borders of the Chattahoochee – Oconee National Forest on private land which they allow hiking and horse back riding out to enjoy the beautiful beach and waterfall. We have to pack in our lunch and drinks, and pack them back out. We wil have lunch and a picnic, play in the water and swim with our horses, so bring a sheet to put down to place your tack on it to avoid getting covered in sand. Bring shorts and bathing suits and water shoes. Dogs are allowed on these trails. Also bring horse snacks and doggie snacks.
Trail Ride after church on Sunday the 19th. Meeting around noon. Bring lunch / drink. $20 (honor system). Neg Coggins required.

Come out and ride with us to Boozy Slush located in Lavon. They have alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. If we all want a snack, we can ride over to Sonic that is a short distance down the road.
We will meet at either Mallard Park that is located off HWY 78 near HWY 6 or the picnic area that is next door to Mallard Park. If you do park at the picnic area, please carpool or bring a small trailer.
For those of you going, it is a 10mile round trip ride.

GSMNP – Meet at the paved parking area before the tunnel parking area at 10 am. Must have yearly or daily GSMNP parking pass. We will ride out White Oak and connect up to Bear Creek Trail, ride to the top and intersect with Welch Ridge trail, eat lunch, and either follow around to Forney Creek or return down Bear Creek. Bring plenty of water, food, and horsey snacks. No trail dogs allowed

Macon County Horse Association Spring Fun Show. 10 a.m. at Fairgrounds. There will be all the normal fun show activities plus speed events. Come out and play with your horses and challenge yourself with these fun games. There will be a concession stand with food & drinks so remember to bring cash. I would suggest lawn chairs, coolers with water & drink, snacks, and plenty of stuffed hay bags. You can even bring pop-up shade tents.. contact me or Lynda for info and/or directions. If you need a ride and pick up your horse let us know.
