this event has been cancelled due to the impending weather , a cold front with strong winds
it’ll be a warm and sunny day to get and enjoy the trails at Lake Proctor

Trail ride is rated easy with some areas that will have small hills , sand and gravel

Platter Flats on Lake Texoma is a BEAUTIFUL place to ride. The trails are fairly easy through the woods and along the lake. The footing is sandy. Pack a snack to stop midway at Rooster’s Roost with a gorgeous view overlooking the lake, with a picnic table and hitching posts.
I have set up a clinic and campout with Robbie at his place for 40SC Members. Clinic will focus on horsemanship and communication with your horse and Robbie will work with each person on where they are with their horse. We will also work a little on trail, obstacle, flag/cow work and setting your horse up for success.
There is a hotel close if you don’t have a LQ trailer. Limited spots available so contact me ASAP to register. We will also take a run over to Teskeys for a little tack shopping as the ranch is close to Weatherford. Once we know who all is going we will do a little more planning for meals, etc.

Lake Protor ride in Comanche is both beautiful and scenic
ride last about an hour and a half and is rated easy with some rocks and sand
Plenty of parking for your truck and trailers
Afterwards we’ll head over to Miguel’s Mexican Restaurant in Comanche , just a few minutes away …. Lunch is Dutch

Saturday – Ride out 10:30 a.m. – Bring snacks
Meal provided by Church when done (approx. 3:00 p.m.)
Draw Pot Ranch Rodeo – 6:00 p.m.
Sunday – Church Service In Arena 8:45 a.m.

Dr Conway was well loved and respected by many animal lovers far and near .
Friends along with the Army Corps Of Engineers of Lake Proctor will erected a sign dedicated in honor of Dr Conway.

Maximum trailer size is 3-horse slant. No Shows will not be refunded. Bring your own lunch.
AM will cover basic dressage/flatwork foundation needed for WE and any discipline you ride. PM will cover select obstacles used in WE and proper way to execute them and how to link them together as when riding a course.
Michelle Fanning will teach ranch riding and reining patterns and how to better understand each maneuver found in these patterns.
Riders: $185 Non-refundable deposit of $85 due at time of registration
