Join us for a ride in the woods on beautiful lake Benbrook. Be saddled and ready to ride by 11:00. Some nice ups and downs with some rocky spots. Normally a 2-3 hour ride, approx 6-9 miles. You can easily turn back early & not get lost. It’s an out & back. We look forward to seeing you there.
East Texas Stock Horse Show! Come out and show off your skills and horsemanship. East Texas Stock Horse Association has continued to provide an excellent show series and trainers. This has provided our COWGIRLS with great information and examples in the Stock Horse show pen. Come out and support your fellow COWGIRLS as they show off their skills and horsemanship!
As with any competition, interest grows and our COWGIRLS are honing their skills. Come out and cheer on our fellow COWGIRLS or participate in this great Association. Join us for a fun filled weekend. Pick your events and competition level and show off what your skills. Monthly clinics are held the Friday before the Show weekend, so make sure you attend to learn what the judges are looking for at that weekend show.

We love the stock show and Rodeo, we practically live there! If you go, take a selfie and we will add you to the roster. Specifically, we will do the following events:
Grand Entry 1/23-Go Pink night -be at trailer parking by 5:30 traditional parade attire
Grand Entry 1/25 TCU Night purple shirts, black 40SC vest
Grand Entry 1/27 Rutledge at 11 am performance arrive by 9:00 with long sleeve white shirt, black vest.
Grand Entry 1/29 Military Appreciation night- black vest and white shirt- we will provide red bandannas
black saddle blankets all days
***GE walkover with police escort is 1 hour prior to performance
*** all performances need pink wraps on front legs and pink wild rag unless otherwise stated.
All long sleeve shirts must be button ups. Arena attire!

Mustang trainers have been formally selected and invited to compete in the exclusive Mustang Magic weekend during the legendary Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo, January 18-20, 2024!
Mustangs will travel from Idaho to Fort Worth, Texas to be matched with their trainers on Friday, September 8th at 11 a.m. during The Fort Worth Mustang Show at the cattle pens on the south side of the John Justin Arena.
Mustang trainers will return January 18 to the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo Mustang Magic to exhibit their gentled mustang. The Top 10 highest scoring trainer and mustang pairs will move forward to the Saturday night’s Mustang Magic Top 10 Freestyle Finals, where they will show off their partnership for a chance to become the 2024 FWSSR Mustang Magic Champion! Adoption/Auction will immediately follow naming of the FWSSR Mustang Magic Champion
Come join us for our Monthly Meeting and hear all about the fun things we do as a club.
We have lots of fun things planned and we will work on planning more events so bring all your ideas to the table and lets hear all about them.
We will also have a raffle at the end of the meeting and you won’t want to miss out on that for we have fun prizes to be won! 1 ticket for $5 or 5 tickets for $20. Age groups: Lead Line, 8 and under, 9-12, 13-17, 18-39, and 40+.
$15 per event/$10 office fee. $5 per expo
You can enter just one event or all four, your choice!
Payouts for each individual event in a 3D format. Leadline 10am all events. Expos will run before every event after Leadline.
Early, Texas Apron painting luncheon
It’ll be a fun painting party designing our chapter aprons, to use for community events.
We’ll enjoy some delicious homemade soup, bread and cookies

Lone Star Equine Solutions will be doing a private De-Spooking clinics just for 40SC. Limited spots available.
This clinic will cover horse physiology and psychology. Class time learning the physical attributes of the horse relating to equine vision. Mounted obstacles and sensory training with fire lines, smoke, canisters, gunfire, and more.
Cost: $100 or $115 if the clinic is relocated to a covered arena due to inclement weather. 8 hour day with lunch provided. $25 non-refundable deposit due at registration.
This clinic will be at your own pace and open to all skill levels and disciplines. You can walk your horse if you prefer.

Pattern Practice at TA Head Arena in Goldthwaite . Melissa Davis will set up/ tear down different speed patterns and we can ride the patterns how ever long we want but it is a open arena so weather permitting via rain / snow . please call before you haul . this will be a fun and social event no timers or drags but lots of fun. Bring Neg. coggins and bring a friend. great way to knock the dust off the saddle & leg up that horse or just sit and watch – go at your own speed no pressure no rush .

With the winter months upon us, we are planning some shopping trips. our first one is to 4T in Ben Wheeler. Then we will go have lunch. Make it a fun day of hanging out together!

It’s that time to get out and gondo something fun!

Come in out of the cold and join us for the wonderful world of the Worlds Greatest Horseman. This event runs from 2/11 through 2/24. Finals are 2/24.
Sunday trail ride 11:00 but some of the girls are going out on Saturday and spending the night, making a weekend of it.
Come join us for a fun filled evening of ranch sorting practice ($50/person) OR open arena ride ($30/person). Dry AND heated arena is a plus in this crazy Texas weather! Saddle up and come ride with us!
