Let’s meet at Parker Bowie arena in Iva SC and enjoy a winter ride. Bring lunch and drinks. Ride out at 11am.
Drill team, trick riding, cowboy history, parade of hounds, fox hunting, mounted archery, trail safety, vendors. This expo covers it all. Come out and support the SC horse council. 10am to 4pm.
Cowgirls we’re going to ride Saturday at Fell Hunt Camp, 1369 Cedar Springs Rd, Bradley, SC. You can start either at the Fell camp or from Toni Vonruden’s house 181 Tuck Rd, Bradley SC., at the top of the trail. Camp if you like, primitive. 10$. We will have a chili dinner at Toni”s when we arrive there. If you’re leaving from campground, be ready to ride at 11am. This one day clinic will be headed up by Martha Peddicord at JandA Stables in Donalds SC. She will go over how different bits work in horses mouth, choosing the best bit for you and your horse, how to balance your saddle to improve your comfort and safety. There is a new parking area this year, just down the road from last year’s location. “We have updated the ride so you will not have to ride on logging roads and will stay in beautiful forest and fields.”
No smoking, No alcohol, No stallions, foals, or dogs.
Horse shoes are highly recommended.
