Beautiful scenery and an obstacle course available too.

Clinic limited to 15 participants. Currently they have a waiting list. The instructors are from Rustic Farm.
Cowgirls we’re going to ride Saturday at Fell Hunt Camp, 1369 Cedar Springs Rd, Bradley, SC. You can start either at the Fell camp or from Toni Vonruden’s house 181 Tuck Rd, Bradley SC., at the top of the trail. Camp if you like, primitive. 10$. We will have a chili dinner at Toni”s when we arrive there. If you’re leaving from campground, be ready to ride at 11am. It’s that time of year… Coggins and vaccines will be offered. Come out and help support the Howard County Youth Horseman Club… Please call or text 806-786-7122 and reserve a spot… All are encouraged and welcomed..
Join our Marvelous Mavericks riding the trails around the lake at Abilene State Park.
Check in at the office to show proof of negative coggins, and pay the $5/person park entrance fee.
Make a U-turn around the office and go back out to the highway. Go Left for 1 mile. Lake entrance is on the right. We park near the swimming area or in the first boat ramp parking lot.
The trail is a 2 hour ride. Bathrooms are close to parking. Yes, there are areas where you can water your horse.

This one day clinic will be headed up by Martha Peddicord at JandA Stables in Donalds SC. She will go over how different bits work in horses mouth, choosing the best bit for you and your horse, how to balance your saddle to improve your comfort and safety. The Polk County Master Gardener Association Plant Sale is coming up Friday, May 10th 9:00 to 4:00 and Saturday, May 11th, 9:00 t0 2:00.
Cheers to the returning Country Store, beautiful annuals, trees and shrubs, perennials, herbs, hanging baskets and a few specialty plants.
They are adding a new children’s area this year where children will, for $1, be able to plant a Marigold in a colorful plastic pot for their mom and take home a small scoop of Marigold seeds to plant in their yard. This table will be staffed by members of one of their 4H Horticulture groups who will also have information on the 4H groups in Polk County to give to kids who come to the table.
They will also have 5 to 6 raffle items to be raffled off on Saturday at noon.

Join us for a guided trail ride around Lake Abilene as part of Abilene State Park’s 90th anniversary celebration!
This will be a 2-hour ride. You will need to bring your own horse and show your Coggins. We’ll meet and unload at the swimming area parking lot.
Park entrance is free for this event!
Come out and enjoy watching some amazing people from the Rustic Farm group put on a de-spook clinic. All spaces for the actual clinic are taken, but it will be a fun time to watch. All Cowgirls are welcomed and needed to be on the ground to help where needed. Cowgirl gear please. BYOB, a snack, and a lawn chair if wanted.

Each day, participants will receive 2 one on one sessions with their horse. Due to the individualized teaching, they welcome participants of all skill levels. Their niche is liberty and bridleless riding, but participants are welcome to use their sessions as they’d like.
This clinic will end with liberty games Sunday Afternoon!
Cost: Participants $675 for 3 days, Auditors $35 per day.

Bring all your glow sticks and glowing accessories for you and your horse…Bring your favorite dish to add to the pot luck dinner that will be at 8pm, and we will ride out at dark… Over night stay is available, but, please contact Queen Terri for arrangements….All are welcome…

Calling all Cowgirls…. Come join us for the final Long Ear Benefit ride. This will be the final trail ride that benefits the Ben Richey Boys Ranch in memory of the founder, Bob Grice.. It’s all primatve camping, but there is water troughs for horse, port-a-potties and showers for humans. 3 hot chuck wagon style meals served on Saturday with an auction Saturday evening. Sunday morning breakfast and worship services for anyone wanting to attend. All are welcomed, and encouraged to attend. It’s 60 dollars at the gate, and that covers your meals, coffee, and entry fees in any “games” going on. Please contact Luann Grimes at” 325-207-2509 so she can get an accurate head count…
