Kick summer off with an evening of rodeo action. From the classic event of bareback riding, saddle bronc, the fan favorite of bull riding, the pretty gals and fast horses of barrel racing and all the timed events as well.
Gates open at 6pm and rodeo action kicks off at 7pm.
Enjoy rodeo action at the professional level at the Red Desert Roundup PRCA Rodeo.

Pre Show events may vary but they usually have mutton busting, teen cash scramble, and the adult cash scramble.

H. Cooper Black for another Camp and Ride
located at 279 Sporting Dog Trail, Cheraw, SC for a winter ride. The trails are flat, sandy and well marked.

Join in the fun of instructed painting of your own “Gnome”. The $35 ticket includes: 2.5 hours of painting, a 16×20 stretched canvas to take home, your own easel to your on, paint, brushes, and aprons. Also included will help from the art instructor so you can go home loving your new art piece. Don’t forget get some great music. Food and drinks available at your own expense.

TrailHead is easiest found by putting Buck’s Grave Road, Chester, SC in your GPS. You will take Woods Ferry Road to get to Buck’s Grave Rd. This will take you to the gravel road that goes to the trailhead. No restroom nor water at trailhead.
Located in western Chester County, lies within a beautiful wooded floodplain surrounded by upland pine woods and maturing hardwood forests. Some hills and a few rocky/rooty areas.
Meet at 10:00, ride out by 10:30.

Leatherwood Mountain Camp and Ride
Premier Equine Facility located in Ferguson , NC is a wonderful destination horseback riding vacation for you and your horses. Over 75 miles of beautiful NC trails to explore that consist of long woodsy paths along beautiful ridges, old logging roads, lots of creek crossings and minimal to long climbs and descents. The trails are safe, well marked and mapped. When you and your equine companion visit the heart of “Horse Country” you may never want to leave!

This easy to moderately difficult 30+ mile loop trails begins in Kings Mountain State Park and circles into Kings Mountain National Military Park, the site of a famous Revolutionary War battle. The surface is primarily flat with some rocky areas and some clay spots. A local saddle club takes care to watch over the trails and ensure solid footing on some of the ridge climbs. Shoes or boots recommended.
Croft State Park Camp and Ride
This park located in Spartanburg, SC is widely popular and is known around the region for its equestrian facilities. The park regularly hosts shows in its arena and boasts more than 20 miles of equestrian trails. Mostly flat trails, rocky and roots in some areas.

Manchester Spring Trail Ride Camp and Ride
Located in Pinewood, SC
Reservations are accepted usually one -two months prior to the event. The event is a fundraiser for the Manchester Trail Riders Club. These folks put a lot of work into it and make sure everyone has a great time.
Mostly flat and sandy trails. Awesome trail ride with food, bands and vendors!
Water/Power at each site. Bathhouse on site. You’ll need to high line or corral your horse.

“Cops & Dobbers” is Sweetwater County’s way of giving back to a fallen officer from the Sheridan Police Department.
Sheridan Police Officer Sgt. Nevada Krinkee was killed in the line of duty on 2/13/24. Sgt. Krinkee leaves behind a loving wife and family.
The Green River Police Department, Rock Springs Police Department, and the Sweetwater County’s Sheriff’s Office are hosting a night of Bingo, silent auction, and raffles. All funds raised will be donated to Sgt. Krinkee family.
The Food Dude will be providing for purchase as well as drinks will be available.
4B Farm and Campground Camp and Ride
Located adjacent to the Uwharrie National Forest and at the Badin Lake Recreation Area. Miles of trails with minimal inclines. Some areas are rocky and roots. Boots or shoes recommended.

Shady trail side is mostly flat terrain and barefoot friendly. Prairie trail has bluestone rocks and mid sized round rocks, so boots or shoes recommended.
Lee State Park Camp and Ride
487 Loop Rd., Bishopville, SC
Trails that run along the Lynches River. Sandy and flat terrain, no shoes nor boots necessary.
Each campsite has two horse corrals, as well as power and water. There is a bath house in the campground as well.

Join us for a Round Up, bring yourself and friends to eat, socialize and discuss how our year is going.
Wonderful chance to gather with your fellow cowgirls!! This is a great time to bring a guest to see what we are all about.
These roundups give us a chance to share new ideas for events and review what we’ve done so far.
Come out and support the up and coming rodeo athletes of Wyoming as they compete for a spot on the state team and attend the national rodeo later this summer. Rodeo action will start on Friday April 19th at 9am with the athletes of the Junior High division. The High School events will be on Saturday & Sunday, April 20 & 21. Saturday evening will also feature a rough stock performance.
All events will take place at the indoor arena at the events complex.
Limited to members only at this time. April Lizzy will photograph your horse with a $50 non-refundable deposit to secure your session.

Tack Sale at OHC hope that ya’ll can come will be a lot of fun and lots of goodies to choose from.
The Cabin Fever Run is produced by Genesis Parker & Megan Matsuura, two members of the Green River Chapter of 40 Something Cowgirls. The barrel races produced by thee two ladies are always well run, fun, family friendly, and a great time.
This race has $2000 added and is a 90% payback.

Oregon Equestrian Trail is putting a prize ride. First ride is at 10a.m last ride out is 1pm, silent auction is at 3pm, bring a lunch food not supplied. Gonna be a lot of fun hope that ya’ll can attend. Competition in best matching pairs, best dressed. Obstacle courses challenge.
Obstacle Play Day at Judi Vogt’s farm located at 105 Tibor Drive, Kings Mountain, NC. Drive all the way to the end of the black top road. You will go through an open iron gate and see the arena, barn and parking on your left.
This event is from 11:00 – 2:00 and is no charge but donations are appreciated for our charity for 2024.
Obstacle play days are a great time to expose your horse and maybe you, to things you’ve not experienced. You will go at your own pace and ask for help from your peers at anytime. We are all happy to help!
We have had a great turnout in the past for play days, so to ensure we have enough parking for everyone, try to carpool if possible. Also, RSVP on the event, as we will keep a list of attendees and may have to limit our numbers.

Jim welcomes both western & english riders. Whether your horse is under saddle or still in the ground work stages of training, Jim is very well versatile and knowledgeable.
Come prepared to answer the question, “What do you want to learn/work on?” Jim wants to help you with your goals and that is why he does one hour one-on-one sessions.
A one hour session with your horse is $160.
If you chose not to bring a horse there is a $25 per day audit fee. Clinic participants are welcome to audit all riders sessions at no additional charge.
Sessions start at 9am and go until 5pm, with a one hour lunch break from noon to 1pm.
Participants must prepay in advance to reserve their spot.
Green River 40 Something Cowgirl, Kari Moneyhun, has teamed up with Sara Lowe of Sagebrush Training to offer a two-day confidence clinic focusing on ranch and trail obstacles. These clinic are fun, encouraging, and full of laughter. Sagebrush Sara works on building each rider up and strengthening your relationship with your horse.
Cost is $400 for the two day clinic. Current 40 Something Cowgirl members get a 10% discount!

Mounted Shooting is the nation’s fastest growing equestrian sport. Competitors wearing two single-action 45 caliber guns race against the clock, navigating through a variety of course patterns while shooting at balloons.
Competitors dress up in “Golden Era” cowboy clothing.
