The cowgirls are attending the Sandhills Rodeo on January 12, 2024. We will meet for dinner at 6:00. The rodeo starts at 7:30.
Let’s meet at Parker Bowie arena in Iva SC and enjoy a winter ride. Bring lunch and drinks. Ride out at 11am.
The cowgirls are headed North to Lubbock for the Wooly Winter Open Show at Texas Tech Equestrian Center. The shows starts with Halter at 8:00, and will likely last until 5:00 p.m. or later, ending with Ranch classes. Check out the following URL for more information:

Drill team, trick riding, cowboy history, parade of hounds, fox hunting, mounted archery, trail safety, vendors. This expo covers it all. Come out and support the SC horse council. 10am to 4pm.
Want to learn to line dance? Join some cowgirls at the Water’s Cafe Wednesday mornings at 10:30.

Cowgirls we’re going to ride Saturday at Fell Hunt Camp, 1369 Cedar Springs Rd, Bradley, SC. You can start either at the Fell camp or from Toni Vonruden’s house 181 Tuck Rd, Bradley SC., at the top of the trail. Camp if you like, primitive. 10$. We will have a chili dinner at Toni”s when we arrive there. If you’re leaving from campground, be ready to ride at 11am. The Old Sorehead Trade Days is an opportunity to shop dozens of local vendors.
Join the BCHSC group for guided trail rides, BBQ dinner Saturday, and breakfast Sunday morning. Lets support this wonderful group that keeps our trails clear and safe!
This one day clinic will be headed up by Martha Peddicord at JandA Stables in Donalds SC. She will go over how different bits work in horses mouth, choosing the best bit for you and your horse, how to balance your saddle to improve your comfort and safety. Let’s ride in beautiful NC. South Mountain Park has it all. you must reserve a horse stall separately in order to stay in equestrian camp. They have bedding, water, electric. showers. Miles of trails. Negative coggins required. Shoes or boots recommended. We’ll be meeting up with other chapter cowgirls too.

Shenandoah Bar M Ranch welcomes the cowgirls to visit the Ranch during the Shenandoah Bar M open house event.
Beginning at 9:00 a.m., the public is invited to tour the facility during which time a light breakfast will be provided. Tours of the property will be given. We will ride at 12:00. As a group, we can decide whether to do an arena ride, obstacle course, trail ride, or all three!
Let’s get together and camp and ride at AH Stevens in Crawfordville, Georgia. Full hookup sites and horse stalls. Get reservations online. Negative coggins required. 1 800 864-7275 for reservations.
Join us for a fundraiser trail ride with our partners BCHSC. We’ll ride from Fell hunt camp to Parsons Mountain recreation area. Lunch will be served by the lake . Saxons food truck will serve lunch. Ride out at 10am. Proceeds are going to restore the hitching rails at the lake.

Trainer Magen Allen will be coming to Shenandoah Bar M Ranch for a special 2-day clinic. Magen is a true all-around trainer with a background in everything from ranch, roping, barrels, and reining to western pleasure, English, and jumping. She is a Reserve World Champion with multiple other top 5 placings.
The clinic will be a general horsemanship clinic focusing on the goals of the individual riders. The cost of this 2 day clinic will be $200 or $40 to audit. Space is limited to 15 riders. Hurry to secure your spot with a $100 deposit now!
Space available for over night boarding.
Trail challenge entry begins at 6:30 pm in the FARM Center Arena. Classes for everyone. Lead line, Youth (under 16), Adult. Let’s show them our cowgirl skills!
Old Sorehead Trade Days is upon us! The streets of downtown Stanton, TX will be open to foot traffic only. Come out and enjoy live music, entertainment, arts and crafts, antiques, historical tours, trading lot, and delicious food.
Yee haw its fall fling time! We have the entire campground reserved for our fling. 17 sites with electric. Plenty of room for primitive camping. We’ll ride out at 10 on Saturday. Potluck dinner /meeting games Saturday night by campfire. Let’s ride and party! Bring prospects too! Negative coggins required.
Once again our cowgirls are stepping up to help honor the veterans and first responders in our area by serving at their annual BBQ. We will help setup, take down and assist in anyway we can. Our contribution to all that have served.

The cowgirls are at it again. We will be heading back to Hobbs, NM for the second in the Fall Buckle Series. This horse show is low pressure and affordable. It’s a great place for people who want to try a show for the first time or for someone who is experienced and needs some more miles on their horse.
Gobble gobble its time for a roundup! Its been difficult to get together after the hurricane came through our area but now is the time. We are getting together for a dinner at cowgirl Susan Sheehan,s home. We will provide the turkey and ham. There is a sign up sheet in Libbys 40sc FB page. Bring your ideas and lets plan some exciting get togethers! Its the time of year to be thankful for all of our cowgirls!
