In celebration of our Chapter’s fantastic year and the Birth of our Lord, we are gathering to celebrate each other and our growing horse friendship. We will have an exciting party at Sweetwater in a designated private area. It may be loud… but so are we!!!

Join us for a ride in the woods on beautiful lake Benbrook. Be saddled and ready to ride by 11:00. Some nice ups and downs with some rocky spots. Normally a 2-3 hour ride, approx 6-9 miles. You can easily turn back early & not get lost. It’s an out & back. We look forward to seeing you there.
We love the stock show and Rodeo, we practically live there! If you go, take a selfie and we will add you to the roster. Specifically, we will do the following events:
Grand Entry 1/23-Go Pink night -be at trailer parking by 5:30 traditional parade attire
Grand Entry 1/25 TCU Night purple shirts, black 40SC vest
Grand Entry 1/27 Rutledge at 11 am performance arrive by 9:00 with long sleeve white shirt, black vest.
Grand Entry 1/29 Military Appreciation night- black vest and white shirt- we will provide red bandannas
black saddle blankets all days
***GE walkover with police escort is 1 hour prior to performance
*** all performances need pink wraps on front legs and pink wild rag unless otherwise stated.
All long sleeve shirts must be button ups. Arena attire!

Mustang trainers have been formally selected and invited to compete in the exclusive Mustang Magic weekend during the legendary Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo, January 18-20, 2024!
Mustangs will travel from Idaho to Fort Worth, Texas to be matched with their trainers on Friday, September 8th at 11 a.m. during The Fort Worth Mustang Show at the cattle pens on the south side of the John Justin Arena.
Mustang trainers will return January 18 to the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo Mustang Magic to exhibit their gentled mustang. The Top 10 highest scoring trainer and mustang pairs will move forward to the Saturday night’s Mustang Magic Top 10 Freestyle Finals, where they will show off their partnership for a chance to become the 2024 FWSSR Mustang Magic Champion! Adoption/Auction will immediately follow naming of the FWSSR Mustang Magic Champion

The Caddo National Grasslands WMA is located in Fannin County about 70 miles northeast of Dallas near Bonham. From Dallas take US 75 north for 35 miles to the SH 121 exit going to Bonham, another 35 miles to Bonham, and then about 15-20 miles northeast of Bonham to the WMA. SH 121 connects to US 82 at Bonham. Stay on US 82 18 miles to Honey Grove.

Join us for Amy Weber’s Birthday and tackle the Hot Chocolate Run at Fair Park in Dallas!! Amy has completed this a couple of times and has good advice. Sign up early and take advantage of early sign-up Discounts… by December 3rd for best discount!! If you do not want to participate, you can come, shop at the Vendor Expo, and cheer others at the Finish Line. You should also know, parking is very crowded. Get there early and be prepared. Cowgirls, this is a local opportunity to hear a great “Author, Humorist & Playwright”, Michael Johnson. Michael lives in our own Campbell, TX. I had the opportunity to hear him at a Lazy TK Ranch event in Breckenridge a couple of years ago. Such a fun Cowboy gentlemen with stories to tell. It will be good for the Theatre and great for Michael’s fans!

Cowgirl Jennie Vayo is setting up an opportunity for you to participate in a Night Ride Obstacle Clinic at Legacy Ranch in Lone Oak. This Clinic will be offered by Hunt County Sheriff’s Posse, under the direction of David and Terry Rogers. It is limited to ten (10) riders, so sign-up quickly. If weather is prohibitive, it will be rescheduled. Come on out… new opportunity, new experience!!
