FULL PARADE ATTIRE!!!!!!
Please have your 40SC pink blouse, 40SC black jacket, black felt hat or helmet, fuchsia wild rag, blue jeans. Horse needs 40SC black saddle pad, pink polo wraps. Depending on weather you can layer under parade attire. Gloves to be handed out at parade if they are to be used.
Please have your waivered filled out and either back to your Queen or mail them to FWSSR. I have placed the link below for you. They are due by Nov 30th, NO fax or email entries will be excepted. More information as it comes to us will be posted!
- All parade participants must review and sign a Participant Release Form. Release Forms must accompany the organization’s application at time of submission.
- Participants must carefully read and abide by all Parade rules.
- Health Papers: All horses and other equine are required to have proper health papers to participate in the parade or enter staging area. Riders must be in possession of health papers at all times. See ” Official Health Requirements” as provided in the application information for mandatory health requirements on horses and other equine.

Happy 2024 Cowgirls. Our monthly Grub night will be on January 25, 2024 at Los Cabos Mexican Restaurant on Foothill Blvd. We will be discussing upcoming events, year end awards party, holiday party, slush funds, memberships and much more. Bring a friend and if they join, you get a free dinner. Susan won the basket so she will be bringing the raffle basket this month. Hope to see you there.

Attending the 2024 Red Desert Humane Society’s Pampurr Yourself Purse and Jewelry Auction. Saturday, January 27, 2024 at the Holiday Inn Ballroom on Sunset Blvd. Rock Springs WY. Tickets are $50 each. Starts at 4:30 pm.

1/15/24 Update: Since we had to reschedule the January 13, 2024 FYFS and Browband Workshops to January 27, 2024, Cowgirl Liz has offered to host our January meeting at her house in conjunction with the other events. Our January meeting will be held at 12:30. Immediately following the meeting will be the FYFS workshop and then, browband making.
Please email for location and additional information. This meeting will be held at a private residence, and we will not be publicly posting the address.
Due to weather, this event has been rescheduled from 1/13/24 to 1/27/24.
One of our cowgirls is hosting a equitation workshop at 1 PM at her private residence. At 3 PM, the same member will host a browband making workshop. Space available for 6-10 participants. Cost is about $10 for leather, plus any bling you would like to add.

Come out and watch our very own Rock Springs Grizzlies Hockey team play on their home ice. Game will be on Friday, February 2, 2024 at 7 pm a the Rock Springs Family Rec Center Ice Arena, 3900 Sweetwater Drive, Rock Springs WY 82901. Tickets are $10 each. Attending the annual Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation Big Game Banquet on February 10, 2024 at the Events Complex. Starts at 5 pm. Raffles, games, dinner.
We have been invited to ride at the Rafter L ranch.
Beautiful scenery and an obstacle course available too.
Clinic limited to 15 participants. Currently they have a waiting list. The instructors are from Rustic Farm.
EVENT LOCATION UPDATED!
Bring a friend, your ideas for events and fundraisers! We will be doing a pot luck (facility is also BYOB) during the meeting. Afterwards there will be axe throwing, archery, corn hole & darts! Please let us know if you are able to make it day of so that we can plan the potluck and let the venue know a head count.
Let’s go bowling. Sunday February 18, 2024 at 1 pm. We might have to wait for an lane, but it doesn’t usually take too long. Cost is $4 per game. Please let me know if you are interested in going so we can get a head count.

Join our Marvelous Mavericks riding the trails around the lake at Abilene State Park.
Check in at the office to show proof of negative coggins, and pay the $5/person park entrance fee.
Make a U-turn around the office and go back out to the highway. Go Left for 1 mile. Lake entrance is on the right. We park near the swimming area or in the first boat ramp parking lot.
The trail is a 2 hour ride. Bathrooms are close to parking. Yes, there are areas where you can water your horse.

Monthly dinner gathering will be at Los Cabos on February 27, 2024 at 6:30 pm. Kari won the basket, so she will bring it to this dinner. We decided to donate a buckle for the Sweetwater Ranch Sort Club, and also for the Wild West Outlaws gymkhana 40 and over age group. Slush fund is $492.00. before the deduction for buckles.

Doc’s Bar and Grill has an event venue just to the left of the archway entrance. Mini Doc’s provides a private building, bar and wait staff.
Our Cowgirl Roundup will include upcoming trail ride opportunities, nearby events and don’t forget about the door prize! See y’all there!
This is a benefit for Carly and Ben Hautala. Cade pass away on January 21, 2024. We will do a Silent Auction, Dollar Raffles and a food truck. We will begin playing Xtreme Music Bingo starting at 7 PM. Cost of the boards are $10.00 for your 1st and $5.00 for any additional boards per category. Categories will be determined soon. We will be riding from Gentry Wimberely’s house to Canyon Road Bar and Grill. This will be a 6-7 mile ride with drink stops if needed. we are planning to unload at Gentrys then convoying trucks and trailers to Canyon Road we will have a cowgirl uber to take the drivers who are also riding back to the horses. Rendezvous is a state sponsored event put on by Back Country Horsemen of Washington that is open to the public. This is a non-riding event. We offer educational classes, shopping, social and informative events and seminars. There are no fees for anything other than the Saturday nights catered dinner and the on-site camping.
