Kick summer off with an evening of rodeo action. From the classic event of bareback riding, saddle bronc, the fan favorite of bull riding, the pretty gals and fast horses of barrel racing and all the timed events as well.
Gates open at 6pm and rodeo action kicks off at 7pm.
Enjoy rodeo action at the professional level at the Red Desert Roundup PRCA Rodeo.

Pre Show events may vary but they usually have mutton busting, teen cash scramble, and the adult cash scramble.

Our monthly Grub night will be on January 25, 2024 at Los Cabos Mexican Restaurant on Foothill Blvd. We will be discussing upcoming events, year end awards party, holiday party, slush funds, memberships and much more. Bring a friend and if they join, you get a free dinner. Susan won the basket so she will be bringing the raffle basket this month. Hope to see you there.

Attending the annual Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation Big Game Banquet on February 10, 2024 at the Events Complex. Starts at 5 pm. Raffles, games, dinner.
We have been invited to ride at the Rafter L ranch.
Beautiful scenery and an obstacle course available too.
Join our Marvelous Mavericks riding the trails around the lake at Abilene State Park.
Check in at the office to show proof of negative coggins, and pay the $5/person park entrance fee.
Make a U-turn around the office and go back out to the highway. Go Left for 1 mile. Lake entrance is on the right. We park near the swimming area or in the first boat ramp parking lot.
The trail is a 2 hour ride. Bathrooms are close to parking. Yes, there are areas where you can water your horse.

Monthly dinner gathering will be at Los Cabos on February 27, 2024 at 6:30 pm. Kari won the basket, so she will bring it to this dinner. We decided to donate a buckle for the Sweetwater Ranch Sort Club, and also for the Wild West Outlaws gymkhana 40 and over age group. Slush fund is $492.00. before the deduction for buckles.
This is the 69th year to hold the annual fundraiser in support of our little parish of St. Helen’s. Lots of great raffle prizes and lots of great auction items. Dinner is Corned Beef and Irish Stew. Come on out! Tickets available at the door. See you there.
Join us at Abilene State Park for our monthly trail ride. Be sure to check in, show coggins, and pay your fee to the park station before heading to the lake. Lake entrance is left 1 mile up the highway on the right side. We park near the swimming/picnic area. See y’all there!

Come out and support the up and coming rodeo athletes of Wyoming as they compete for a spot on the state team and attend the national rodeo later this summer. Rodeo action will start on Friday April 19th at 9am with the athletes of the Junior High division. The High School events will be on Saturday & Sunday, April 20 & 21. Saturday evening will also feature a rough stock performance.
All events will take place at the indoor arena at the events complex.
Join our cowgirls at the Western Heritage Classic full of all kinds of entertainment! Food, rodeo, matched races, cook-offs, music and (my favorite) shopping!!!

Abilene State Park is hosting a guided trail ride. Please consider this is not a free range 40 Something Cowgirls guided ride. Please know they plan to ride out at 9:00am so come early. Can’t wait to see y’all there!

Join us for a guided trail ride around Lake Abilene as part of Abilene State Park’s 90th anniversary celebration!
This will be a 2-hour ride. You will need to bring your own horse and show your Coggins. We’ll meet and unload at the swimming area parking lot.
Park entrance is free for this event!

Come out and support all the contestants vying for a national title at the super bowl of High School rodeo. Contestants will be from across the United States, 5 Canadian Provinces, Australia, Mexico, & New Zealand. The rodeo will showcase rodeo athletes as they compete for national titles as well as scholarship over $375,00.
Along with the rodeo action there will be a trade show and food vendors.
