Platter Flats on Lake Texoma is a BEAUTIFUL place to ride. The trails are fairly easy through the woods and along the lake. The footing is sandy. Pack a snack to stop midway at Rooster’s Roost with a gorgeous view overlooking the lake, with a picnic table and hitching posts.
We will be riding from Gentry Wimberely’s house to Canyon Road Bar and Grill. This will be a 6-7 mile ride with drink stops if needed. we are planning to unload at Gentrys then convoying trucks and trailers to Canyon Road we will have a cowgirl uber to take the drivers who are also riding back to the horses. Friday – Set up primitive camp at Church (Optional)
Saturday – Ride out 10:30 a.m. – Bring snacks
Meal provided by Church when done (approx. 3:00 p.m.)
Draw Pot Ranch Rodeo – 6:00 p.m.
Sunday – Church Service In Arena 8:45 a.m.
Negative Coggins required.
We have moved our Tuesday night rides to Saturday. Time is subjected change with the weather.
There will be activities on both Friday and Saturday: Great entertainment, delicious food, a kids section for play, and more!
We are grateful to the city of Breckenridge for supporting this event. It is thanks to this support that we are able to bring the community together for a weekend of entertainment and celebration. Let’s make this year’s Frontier Days the best one yet! Stay tuned for what is to come!
