Kick summer off with an evening of rodeo action. From the classic event of bareback riding, saddle bronc, the fan favorite of bull riding, the pretty gals and fast horses of barrel racing and all the timed events as well.
Gates open at 6pm and rodeo action kicks off at 7pm.
Enjoy rodeo action at the professional level at the Red Desert Roundup PRCA Rodeo.
From the classic events of Saddle Bronc , bareback, the fan favorite of bull riding, and the pretty girls & fast horses of barrel racing. Don’t forget the classic timed events of team roping, steer wrestling, and calf roping.
Pre Show events may vary but they usually have mutton busting, teen cash scramble, and the adult cash scramble.
We will be participating in the Rocket Donkey Productions Barrel Race in Clovis, NM. Come join us or cheer our Cowgirls on.

Bring out the horses and lets kick off this season in a fun way. We host monthly practice events. You can practice traditional clover-leaf barrels, poles, and any play day event you can think of. We enjoy several hours of arena riding and fun.

We will be attending the Connie Combs Barrel Clinic at the Mallet Arena in Levelland Tx. This is an amazing opportunity to learn from one of the industry’s best barrel racers.
Come out with the Newberg Cowgirls for an evening of fun playing BINGO in Aurora, OR. BINGO is in support of the North Marion Community Library, read and ride program.

Join in the fun of instructed painting of your own “Gnome”. The $35 ticket includes: 2.5 hours of painting, a 16×20 stretched canvas to take home, your own easel to your on, paint, brushes, and aprons. Also included will help from the art instructor so you can go home loving your new art piece. Don’t forget get some great music. Food and drinks available at your own expense.

The workshop is hands on demo. We make Rustic Sourdough Boule, Together and the instructor walks you through step by step. All participants take home some of the very active wild yeast sourdough starter. The instructor also will bring a variety of yummy wild yeast sourdough treats to enjoy.
Let’s get 2024 off to a start. This will be a lunch/meeting gathering. Discussion will be but not limited to: upcoming events, chapter slush fund, HQ updates, and much more. Please bring suggestions, ideas, and information for future events. You don’t want to miss this one as there are some surprises in store too!
Drill team, trick riding, cowboy history, parade of hounds, fox hunting, mounted archery, trail safety, vendors. This expo covers it all. Come out and support the SC horse council. 10am to 4pm.
We will meet at the Kane County visitor Center at 10am.
The Dino 🦕 hike is around 20 to 25 min hike and there is a short yet steep climb to the top. The views are spectacular so be ready to take them in!

Cowgirls we’re going to ride Saturday at Fell Hunt Camp, 1369 Cedar Springs Rd, Bradley, SC. You can start either at the Fell camp or from Toni Vonruden’s house 181 Tuck Rd, Bradley SC., at the top of the trail. Camp if you like, primitive. 10$. We will have a chili dinner at Toni”s when we arrive there. If you’re leaving from campground, be ready to ride at 11am. This will be our second obstacle play day at Kim’s house. If you didn’t come the first time, you missed out on a good time. Kim has an unbelieve obstacle course set up at her home and changes it up on a weekly basis. This course will be a St. Patty’s Day Theme. It’s $40 per person and you need to bring a side dish to go with Taco Soup for our potluck lunch!
“Cops & Dobbers” is Sweetwater County’s way of giving back to a fallen officer from the Sheridan Police Department.
Sheridan Police Officer Sgt. Nevada Krinkee was killed in the line of duty on 2/13/24. Sgt. Krinkee leaves behind a loving wife and family.
The Green River Police Department, Rock Springs Police Department, and the Sweetwater County’s Sheriff’s Office are hosting a night of Bingo, silent auction, and raffles. All funds raised will be donated to Sgt. Krinkee family.
The Food Dude will be providing for purchase as well as drinks will be available.

Candi Jean will be here on March 30th for a boot fitting clinic. Candi Jean will be fitting Scoot Boots and Easy Care Boots, for the best fitting horses should be trimmed 2 weeks prior. Come out and support the up and coming rodeo athletes of Wyoming as they compete for a spot on the state team and attend the national rodeo later this summer. Rodeo action will start on Friday April 19th at 9am with the athletes of the Junior High division. The High School events will be on Saturday & Sunday, April 20 & 21. Saturday evening will also feature a rough stock performance.
All events will take place at the indoor arena at the events complex.
Join the BCHSC group for guided trail rides, BBQ dinner Saturday, and breakfast Sunday morning. Lets support this wonderful group that keeps our trails clear and safe!
This one day clinic will be headed up by Martha Peddicord at JandA Stables in Donalds SC. She will go over how different bits work in horses mouth, choosing the best bit for you and your horse, how to balance your saddle to improve your comfort and safety. Let’s ride in beautiful NC. South Mountain Park has it all. you must reserve a horse stall separately in order to stay in equestrian camp. They have bedding, water, electric. showers. Miles of trails. Negative coggins required. Shoes or boots recommended. We’ll be meeting up with other chapter cowgirls too.
The Cabin Fever Run is produced by Genesis Parker & Megan Matsuura, two members of the Green River Chapter of 40 Something Cowgirls. The barrel races produced by thee two ladies are always well run, fun, family friendly, and a great time.
This race has $2000 added and is a 90% payback.
