Kick summer off with an evening of rodeo action. From the classic event of bareback riding, saddle bronc, the fan favorite of bull riding, the pretty gals and fast horses of barrel racing and all the timed events as well.
Gates open at 6pm and rodeo action kicks off at 7pm.
Enjoy rodeo action at the professional level at the Red Desert Roundup PRCA Rodeo.

Our monthly Grub night will be on January 25, 2024 at Los Cabos Mexican Restaurant on Foothill Blvd. We will be discussing upcoming events, year end awards party, holiday party, slush funds, memberships and much more. Join in the fun of instructed painting of your own “Gnome”. The $35 ticket includes: 2.5 hours of painting, a 16×20 stretched canvas to take home, your own easel to your on, paint, brushes, and aprons. Also included will help from the art instructor so you can go home loving your new art piece. Don’t forget get some great music. Food and drinks available at your own expense.

Volunteer Services for Hot Mess Horse and Animal Rescue – Cowgirls have been asked to assist with fencing and animal care. We are meeting at the rescue on Old Murphy Road. All materials are on site for the fence repair, which is needed to separate the horses from the cows, goats, and alpacas. Laura Thornton has offered to pay and declined payment since earning and fundraising for horse rescues is very difficult. We are honored to show cowgirl generosity and compassion to the owner and these deserving animals. We welcome cowgirls and their families to donate time and services to this amazing rescue in the heart of our community

Trail ride at the back side of Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest, exploring new areas and trails. Lady Splipper and Lake Russell trails are nestled amongst the beautiful foothills of Northeast Georgia. Meeting at the end of the road of Cannon Rd, which is just past Frady Branch Equine main trail parking.

Day trail ride at Frady Branch – Chattahoochee National Forest, Toccoa, Ga. – 14.5 miles of trails and four separate loops to explore. Meet at the trailhead parking area at 10 am. There is a
$ 5-a-day use fee which you can buy a yearly pass from USDA Forest Service. Bring lunch, snacks, and drinks. See ya on the trail

Annual Wine and Food Classic will have some of your returning favorites and some new producers, including 50+ of the regions best wineries, chefs, bakers, breweries, distilleries, artists, artisans and musicians. All proceeds go to support children’s education.
This is a benefit for Carly and Ben Hautala. Cade pass away on January 21, 2024. We will do a Silent Auction, Dollar Raffles and a food truck. 3rd Annual Coggins clinic for Macon and surrounding counties. Dr. Jessica Scruggs, DVM will provide services. cowgirls will assistance to horse owners and Dr. Jessica. will assist with paperwork and handling of horses.
This is the 69th year to hold the annual fundraiser in support of our little parish of St. Helen’s. Lots of great raffle prizes and lots of great auction items. Dinner is Corned Beef and Irish Stew. Come on out! Tickets available at the door. See you there.

Join the cowgirls and area law enforcement agencies for a night of bingo, games, raffles and fun, honoring Fallen Officer Nevada Krinkee. This is a fundraiser for this young officer’s family. Bingo cards are $10 each. Event will be on Thursday, March 21, 2024. Doors open at 6 pm. Please see flyer for further details.
“Cops & Dobbers” is Sweetwater County’s way of giving back to a fallen officer from the Sheridan Police Department.
Sheridan Police Officer Sgt. Nevada Krinkee was killed in the line of duty on 2/13/24. Sgt. Krinkee leaves behind a loving wife and family.
The Green River Police Department, Rock Springs Police Department, and the Sweetwater County’s Sheriff’s Office are hosting a night of Bingo, silent auction, and raffles. All funds raised will be donated to Sgt. Krinkee family.
The Food Dude will be providing for purchase as well as drinks will be available.
This class is to help educate on what to do in different emergency scenarios. We will be discussing what to do and what not to do. What gear to have for example what to keep in a bag in your vehicle if it breaks down on the side of the road. What to keep in your house if the power goes out. If this sounds like something you want to learn come out to Coal Train Coffee Depot and check it out!

Candi Jean will be here on March 30th for a boot fitting clinic. Candi Jean will be fitting Scoot Boots and Easy Care Boots, for the best fitting horses should be trimmed 2 weeks prior. Meet at Whetstone parking area at 10:30, we’ll saddle up ride out to Adeline and possibly cross river if super low, if not we’ll make loop and go out through Spring house, climb the ridge and head back to parking area. 5 to 6 hr ride so bring food, lunch, snacks, and a lot of water. Trails are easy to moderate in difficulty.

Meet at Whetstone Parking lot at 10:30, we’ll cross the river at Earls Ford into Georgia and ride entire big loop on Georgia side. We’ll follow river trail from Adeline and back down to Earls for crossing back over river back into South Carolina and back to parking area. Bring tons of snacks, lunch, and water. Shoes recommended on Ga side, trails are easy to moderate difficulty.
