Just a fun little gathering for fun ladies!
Drill team, trick riding, cowboy history, parade of hounds, fox hunting, mounted archery, trail safety, vendors. This expo covers it all. Come out and support the SC horse council. 10am to 4pm.
Want to learn to line dance? Join some cowgirls at the Water’s Cafe Wednesday mornings at 10:30.
Evening classes available too 5:30 pm. with Shay Wood.
Cowgirls we’re going to ride Saturday at Fell Hunt Camp, 1369 Cedar Springs Rd, Bradley, SC. You can start either at the Fell camp or from Toni Vonruden’s house 181 Tuck Rd, Bradley SC., at the top of the trail. Camp if you like, primitive. 10$. We will have a chili dinner at Toni”s when we arrive there. If you’re leaving from campground, be ready to ride at 11am. Volunteer Services for Hot Mess Horse and Animal Rescue – Cowgirls have been asked to assist with fencing and animal care. We are meeting at the rescue on Old Murphy Road. All materials are on site for the fence repair, which is needed to separate the horses from the cows, goats, and alpacas. Laura Thornton has offered to pay and declined payment since earning and fundraising for horse rescues is very difficult. We are honored to show cowgirl generosity and compassion to the owner and these deserving animals. We welcome cowgirls and their families to donate time and services to this amazing rescue in the heart of our community

Trail ride at the back side of Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest, exploring new areas and trails. Lady Splipper and Lake Russell trails are nestled amongst the beautiful foothills of Northeast Georgia. Meeting at the end of the road of Cannon Rd, which is just past Frady Branch Equine main trail parking.

This ride is presented by the Southwest Washington Regional Appaloosa Club located in Moscow, Idaho. A portion of the proceeds go to the youth program of Chief Joseph Foundation.
Come join this ride. You can paint up your horses with spots/dots, hearts or what ever will make it fun. Decorate away!
The ride is $30 which includes 2 raffle tickets into the general raffle and lunch. Extra tickets are $5 for 2 tickets. $5 of the $30 goes directly to the Evergreen Sportsmen Club for parking.

Another fun idea! Really hoping for us to all get together and get to know each other so in the spring and summer our rides will be relaxing and we will know a bit about each other. Always awkward to ride with strangers, Right???? Bring a few trinkets from a favorite horse, dog, person etc. to place gently into a keepsake.

Don’t miss this opportunity to ride with a master horseman and cattleman! He’d probably be happy to teach us to swing a rope if we ask too. Joe rode with the late great Tom Dorrance and my horsemanship changed greatly two years ago when I first rode with Joe.
Day trail ride off Cannon Rd & FR 92E- Chattahoochee National Forest, Toccoa, Ga. – meet at 10am, saddle up and head out exploring the endless trails, waterfalls, and forest roads. Bring lunch, snacks, and water. Dogs allowed in this area. Trails are easy and shoes not needed here.
Meet at Whetstone parking area at 10:30, we’ll saddle up ride out to Adeline and possibly cross river if super low, if not we’ll make loop and go out through Spring house, climb the ridge and head back to parking area. 5 to 6 hr ride so bring food, lunch, snacks, and a lot of water. Trails are easy to moderate in difficulty.

Meet at Whetstone Parking lot at 10:30, we’ll cross the river at Earls Ford into Georgia and ride entire big loop on Georgia side. We’ll follow river trail from Adeline and back down to Earls for crossing back over river back into South Carolina and back to parking area. Bring tons of snacks, lunch, and water. Shoes recommended on Ga side, trails are easy to moderate difficulty.

Meet at Hurricane Creek Parking Area at 10am, and we will ride out across creek jump on Big Indian Trail. Bring your chainsaws and hand saws. This will be first ride since winter storms. Bring saddles with water and food.

We’re going to see the eclipse! Best spot in US for viewing. Come camp, ride, and enjoy . There are cabins, rooms, campsites available. primitive camping. Showers, water available. Call campground for reservations.

Robbinsville Community Coggins clinic for Graham and surrounding counties. Dr. Jessica Scruggs, DVM will provide services. cowgirls will assistance horse owners and Dr. Jessica. We provide all advertising, forms, chairs, canopies, and tables, and will assist with paperwork and handling of horses. Bring your big trailers for comfort and bathroom facilities. This is another community volunteer project so I hope all you cowgirls can come. Please wear your Cowgirls shirts or pink shirts to represent out 40SC chapter

Macon County Horse Association Spring Fun Show. 10 a.m. at Fairgrounds. There will be all the normal fun show activities plus speed events. Come out and play with your horses and challenge yourself with these fun games. There will be a concession stand with food & drinks so remember to bring cash. I would suggest lawn chairs, coolers with water & drink, snacks, and plenty of stuffed hay bags. You can even bring pop-up shade tents.. contact me or Lynda for info and/or directions. Join the BCHSC group for guided trail rides, BBQ dinner Saturday, and breakfast Sunday morning. Lets support this wonderful group that keeps our trails clear and safe!
This one day clinic will be headed up by Martha Peddicord at JandA Stables in Donalds SC. She will go over how different bits work in horses mouth, choosing the best bit for you and your horse, how to balance your saddle to improve your comfort and safety. Let’s ride in beautiful NC. South Mountain Park has it all. you must reserve a horse stall separately in order to stay in equestrian camp. They have bedding, water, electric. showers. Miles of trails. Negative coggins required. Shoes or boots recommended. We’ll be meeting up with other chapter cowgirls too.

The Macon County Horse Association is opening their concession stand for amazing pulled porked sandwiches and platters. Bar W Rodeo is a local odeo company nestled right here in our Western Carolina Mountains. We hope everyone comes out to see amazing action and help raise funds for our local FFA and Horse Association

Franklin cowgirls meet at Ingles in Clayton at 9am, and Georgia & SC Cowgirls meet at 10:30 at forest 92E – come in on Cannon Road off Hwy 80 turn right on first forest road on right go down turn around on loop and line up heading outward for pairking,
Secret Waterfall trail is outside the borders of the Chattahoochee – Oconee National Forest on private land which they allow hiking and horse back riding out to enjoy the beautiful beach and waterfall. We have to pack in our lunch and drinks, and pack them back out. We wil have lunch and a picnic, play in the water and swim with our horses, so bring a sheet to put down to place your tack on it to avoid getting covered in sand. Bring shorts and bathing suits and water shoes. Dogs are allowed on these trails. Also bring horse snacks and doggie snacks.
