1/15/24 Update: Since we had to reschedule the January 13, 2024 FYFS and Browband Workshops to January 27, 2024, Cowgirl Liz has offered to host our January meeting at her house in conjunction with the other events. Our January meeting will be held at 12:30. Immediately following the meeting will be the FYFS workshop and then, browband making.
Please email for location and additional information. This meeting will be held at a private residence, and we will not be publicly posting the address.
Due to weather, this event has been rescheduled from 1/13/24 to 1/27/24.
One of our cowgirls is hosting a equitation workshop at 1 PM at her private residence. At 3 PM, the same member will host a browband making workshop. Space available for 6-10 participants. Cost is about $10 for leather, plus any bling you would like to add.

Drill team, trick riding, cowboy history, parade of hounds, fox hunting, mounted archery, trail safety, vendors. This expo covers it all. Come out and support the SC horse council. 10am to 4pm.
Want to learn to line dance? Join some cowgirls at the Water’s Cafe Wednesday mornings at 10:30.

Cowgirls we’re going to ride Saturday at Fell Hunt Camp, 1369 Cedar Springs Rd, Bradley, SC. You can start either at the Fell camp or from Toni Vonruden’s house 181 Tuck Rd, Bradley SC., at the top of the trail. Camp if you like, primitive. 10$. We will have a chili dinner at Toni”s when we arrive there. If you’re leaving from campground, be ready to ride at 11am. Cowgirls we’re joining the Back Country Horsemen for a fun annual meeting, obstacle course, prizes, camping. Sign up for lunch with the BCH. $40.00 if paid by Feb 15. $50 after. Reserve campsite through Croft Park. Contact [email protected]. Negative coggins required.
Rendezvous is a state sponsored event put on by Back Country Horsemen of Washington that is open to the public. This is a non-riding event. We offer educational classes, shopping, social and informative events and seminars. There are no fees for anything other than the Saturday nights catered dinner and the on-site camping. This event is for auditing the clinic only. Cost to audit is $30 cash per day. SAFE volunteers and adopters can audit for FREE.

This one day clinic will be headed up by Martha Peddicord at JandA Stables in Donalds SC. She will go over how different bits work in horses mouth, choosing the best bit for you and your horse, how to balance your saddle to improve your comfort and safety. Organized ride on Saturday with lunch on the trail and supper Saturday night.

Registration and payment is due this week for a headcount for meals. We have some great raffle items that have been donated as well.
You’re welcome to come the day of the ride without registering, but meals are only for pre-registered and pre-paid riders.
