Time to start riding, cowgirls! We have a team for the 2024 Virtual Tevis Cup ! To get on the roster, we need your name, current 40SC member number and the bib number assigned to you through the sign up link below, in addition to the total mileage ridden. If you do not have a horse, you can also participate by walking/ running the 100 miles.
You can screen shot the app with your mileage, in addition to the sign up response with your bib number. There will be one roster for this event!

You know it will be a great time with Great Friends… we will have lots of laughs, regardless. Our written challenge this month is to bring a new prepared Event Idea for consideration and planning. All ideas and questions are welcome. Invite a Horse Friend and come on to meet us, so we can meet you!!

Looking forward to riding at the Georgia International Horse Park in Conyers GA on Saturday, June 22nd at 10:00. They have many shaded trails and should be a lot of fun! Bring your lunch and we’ll eat around 12:00 on the trail. Should be a FUN, FUN day!

The weather should be good and hot, time for a dip in a pool. Bring a favorite snack and beverage Rhonda is making lunch. Please contact Rhonda if you plan to attend. We will have a brief meeting and prospective members are welcome.
Come join us as we paint wine glasses! Wendy’s Mobile Painting provides everything for your $35! Bring light snacks and BYOB. We start painting at 6 so come a few minutes early if you can! Please RSVP so we know what supplies we need!
Let beat the heat and ride out early! Our very own Cowgirl, Annalise has offered to host a trail ride at her family ranch just outside Abilene. Please reach out for the exact address. All members welcome!
If the weather is nice, lets meet at the Mountain View Park, under the pavilion. Monday, June 24th, 6:00 P.M. Bring a lawn chair just in case the pavilion is occupied. If the weather doesn’t want to play nice, we’ll head over to the BV Senior Center. We need to discuss upcoming events, including the obstacle course competition. Hope to see everyone there.
Meet at Tow String parking Area – Requires a day parking pass or a yearly pass for the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. We will ride out Bradley Creek, cross the creek/steel bridge and head up to Cabin Flats Primitive Horse Camp. Some may go on up to reach the top of 5600+ft to the junction of the Appalachian trail to go out on the rock outcropping of Charlie’s Bunion; it is one of the most spectacular views in the park. The trail is challenging and requires a slow and steady pace. Bring saddle bags with plenty of food, water, and snacks. The Cabin Flats group can enjoy a beautiful meadow alongside the creek to enjoy lunch before heading back out. The Charlie’s Bunion trip is roughly a 21.5 mile round trip distance, and the cabin flats distance is about 13 to 15 miles round trip. Recommend shows on all four hooves. No trail dogs allowed in GSMNP

Hello yall, On July 6th, 2024, the Banales family is having their annual memorial trail ride in Springtown, TX. All are welcome. The ride is approximately 7 miles long and starts at 10:00 am from the front gate of The trail ride travels down Chaparral Ln. Right turn onto J.E.. Woody to right on Prather. Right turn on to Goshon Rd. Right on Fletcher on to private property to the back gate of 199 W. Jake St.(or where199 W. Jake Street in Springtown, TX. the starting point was.) A live band will travel with us on the trail ride. Party with a live band after the trail ride. This event is growing bigger better each year. Bring you horse or riding club and come join us. Come join our chapter at the amazing Gillespie Ranch in New Mexico. This is a true working cattle ranch sitting on 30,000 acres in the Lincoln Nation Forrest. There are limited spots available, so make reservations as soon as possible. Full hook ups with covered stalls. Yes, it’s in July, but bring a sweater or hoodie, you are in some higher elevations… Trails for all levels of riders…. All Cowgirls are welcome…
You aren’t going to want to miss this! @arrowheadlavenderfarm is hosting their first annual Mid-Willamette Valley Lavender Festival.
There’s going to be artisan vendors, food, lavender lemonades, U-Pick lavender, music, our farm store will be packed with lavender products.

You can put 1277 Park Road, Blacksburg, SC in your GPS, but remember you are going to Apple Road once you reach Park Road.
This easy to moderately difficult 30+ mile loop trails begins in Kings Mountain State Park and circles into Kings Mountain National Military Park, the site of a famous Revolutionary War battle. The surface is primarily flat with some rocky areas and some clay spots. A local saddle club takes care to watch over the trails and ensure solid footing on some of the ridge climbs. Boots or shoes recommended.

Float the Green River in Saluda, NC
Let’s stay cool floating the Green River at 5200 Green River Cove Rd.,Saluda, NC. We will carpool there and arrive there by 10:00 to start our adventure. After our float which takes about 2-3 hours, we can have lunch in the cute town of Saluda or at the Tryon Equestrian Center!
Meet us at the Buck’s Grave Road Trailhead at 9:30, riding out by 10:00. No restroom nor water at the trailhead. These trails located in Chester County, SC is surrounded by beautiful wooded floodplain, surrounded by upland pine woods and maturing hardwood forests. Some hills an a few rocky/roots areas. Boots or shoes recommended.

Members come on out to design and make your own hat! You will be transforming one of their stylish hats with a personalized burning technique. Choose your hat color and dive into the creative process, opting between stencil and free hand methods. All under the guidance of our expert instructors. This workshop starts at 10:00, should finished around 12:30-12:45.
If you can’t do the hat burning, we will be meeting for lunch around 1:00 in Waxhaw (location to be determined) and shopping at Waxhaw Tack Exchange as well!
