Time to start riding, cowgirls! We have a team for the 2024 Virtual Tevis Cup ! To get on the roster, we need your name, current 40SC member number and the bib number assigned to you through the sign up link below, in addition to the total mileage ridden. If you do not have a horse, you can also participate by walking/ running the 100 miles.
You can screen shot the app with your mileage, in addition to the sign up response with your bib number. There will be one roster for this event!

RIDE AT MINGO TRAILS JUNE 6th-8th
Hope all can join us at Mingo Trails June 6-8 (Thurs-Sat) for some good trail rides at Mingo. No reservations, but first come – first serve! Our “official” ride will be on Saturday beginning at 10:00. Daily Ride Cost is $10 for nonmembers. See price breakout below. Hope to see you there!

You can put 1277 Park Road, Blacksburg, SC in your GPS, but remember you are going to Apple Road once you reach Park Road.
This easy to moderately difficult 30+ mile loop trails begins in Kings Mountain State Park and circles into Kings Mountain National Military Park, the site of a famous Revolutionary War battle. The surface is primarily flat with some rocky areas and some clay spots. A local saddle club takes care to watch over the trails and ensure solid footing on some of the ridge climbs. Boots or shoes recommended.
We ride out at 10:00 AM There is water for the horses and there is a restroom. Nowhere to swim on this ride.
GSMNP – Meet at the paved parking area before the tunnel parking area at 10 am. Must have yearly or daily GSMNP parking pass. We will ride out White Oak and connect up to Bear Creek Trail, ride to the top and intersect with Welch Ridge trail, eat lunch, and either follow around to Forney Creek or return down Bear Creek. Bring plenty of water, food, and horsey snacks. No trail dogs allowed

SPRING 2024 PLAYDAY SERIES includes barrels, poles, 2 pole stake race, and straight away barrels.
Age divisions: Lead Line, 0-8 years, 9-13 years, 14-18 years, 19-30 years, and 31+ years
$5 per event-$20 one time series fee-One horse per rider to be enrolled in the series, multiple horses allowed in the daily awards.

Meet at parking area at 10 am. Make sure you have GSMNP parking sticker or pay online for day parking. Bring snacks, lunch & plenty to drive . We’ll spend the day enjoying the many trails within the park
We Ride out at 10 AM No restroom but there is water for the horses and if the lake has gone down maybe we will be able to swim. Bring a snack. See you there
Come join us at the Ocmulgee Bluffs for a mid-week morning ride on Wednesday, June 12th at 10:00.
This area is a beautiful place to ride. Directions are as follows:
From Forsyth take Highway 83 north east towards Monticello. Will cross the Ocmulgee River, and a few miles down, will go past the Enon Baptist Church on your left. Will see a big Ocmulgee Bluffs sign on your right where you turn left onto Smith Mill Rd after seeing the sign. There is a black horse sign with the words Saddle Horse Club written on it on your left as you turn in. Road is not in the best of shape and narrow, so take it nice and slow. After 2-3 ? miles, you’ll see the Saddle Horse Campground on your right and on your left, will be the entrance to the Bluffs where you pay and can park.

Meet at Hurricane Creek Parking Area at 10am, and we will ride out across creek jump on Big Indian Trail. Bring your chainsaws and hand saws. This will be first ride since winter storms. Bring saddles with water and food.

Looking forward to riding at the Georgia International Horse Park in Conyers GA on Saturday, June 22nd at 10:00. They have many shaded trails and should be a lot of fun! Bring your lunch and we’ll eat around 12:00 on the trail. Should be a FUN, FUN day!

Macon County Horse Association Spring Fun Show. 10 a.m. at Fairgrounds. There will be all the normal fun show activities plus speed events. Come out and play with your horses and challenge yourself with these fun games. There will be a concession stand with food & drinks so remember to bring cash. I would suggest lawn chairs, coolers with water & drink, snacks, and plenty of stuffed hay bags. You can even bring pop-up shade tents.. contact me or Lynda for info and/or directions. If you need a ride and pick up your horse let us know.
Events vary at each play day! Entry fee $20.00 for all events of $10 for one event. Saddles awarded to each age group (excluding lead line.) Must compete in 3 or 4 play days to eligible for prizes.

Let beat the heat and ride out early! Our very own Cowgirl, Annalise has offered to host a trail ride at her family ranch just outside Abilene. Please reach out for the exact address. All members welcome!
Meet at Tow String parking Area – Requires a day parking pass or a yearly pass for the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. We will ride out Bradley Creek, cross the creek/steel bridge and head up to Cabin Flats Primitive Horse Camp. Some may go on up to reach the top of 5600+ft to the junction of the Appalachian trail to go out on the rock outcropping of Charlie’s Bunion; it is one of the most spectacular views in the park. The trail is challenging and requires a slow and steady pace. Bring saddle bags with plenty of food, water, and snacks. The Cabin Flats group can enjoy a beautiful meadow alongside the creek to enjoy lunch before heading back out. The Charlie’s Bunion trip is roughly a 21.5 mile round trip distance, and the cabin flats distance is about 13 to 15 miles round trip. Recommend shows on all four hooves. No trail dogs allowed in GSMNP
Meeting at 9:30, ride out by 10:00. Bucks Grave Road trailhead.

Hello yall, On July 6th, 2024, the Banales family is having their annual memorial trail ride in Springtown, TX. All are welcome. The ride is approximately 7 miles long and starts at 10:00 am from the front gate of The trail ride travels down Chaparral Ln. Right turn onto J.E.. Woody to right on Prather. Right turn on to Goshon Rd. Right on Fletcher on to private property to the back gate of 199 W. Jake St.(or where199 W. Jake Street in Springtown, TX. the starting point was.) A live band will travel with us on the trail ride. Party with a live band after the trail ride. This event is growing bigger better each year. Bring you horse or riding club and come join us. International Day celebrates the diverse heritage of Rock Springs each July. Known as the “Home of 56 Nationalities,” different cultures are celebrated all day through food, exhibits, costumes and live entertainment. It is the only ethnic festival of its kind in Wyoming, so you won’t want to miss it! This year’s annual festival features a wide range of local, regional, and international entertainment, activities for kids, exotic foods and unique vendor items. Performers from various parts of the world provide a smorgasbord of music and dance entertainment throughout the day. Food, drinks, music, arts, crafts and more all with free admission! See you on July 13th in Bunning Park!
