We usually do a potluck after our day rides with some crazy cowgirls and some great cooks
Come join us as we assist Rutledge clients enjoy the benefits of equine therapy. We will not be riding, but will be assisting young adults who are undergoing cancer treatments. Whether riding the trails or grooming horses, we need cowgirls there to help.
Patients will book through Rutledge at the direction of their medical advisers.
We’re bringing back the historic Shawnee Trail Ride! The Shawnee Trail moved cattle from Dallas to Missouri in the 1800s. The trail crossed the Red River at Preston Point in Pottsboro. In the 1960s, some guys hitched up their wagons and rode horses from Pottsboro to Dallas to open the State Fair. The ride had its 50th anniversary in 2010 and disappeared.The 40SC are bringing it back! We’ll ride through the parade to kick off Frontier Days in Pottsboro and make a 14 mile loop to Hagerman Wildlife Refuge for lunch and back. Camping is available Fri & Sat nights.
Meet at New Ingles Parking lot, then caravan over to Cataloochee Valley. Meet at Cataloochee Parking area by 10am . recommend shoes or boots for trails, some are rocky, believe there are water crossings. Vickie is going to show us the trails. Bring water, snacks, and lunch. I do not know length of trails.

Meet us at 10:00am and be ready to ride out by 10:30am. We will ride to Donuts R More at 101 N. Mcdonald St. STE 101, McKinney, TX 75069. After donuts, we will ride through downtown McKinney and enjoy the weather and the small town downtown atmosphere.
LBJ Grasslands ride. Approx 9 miles. Some of the girls may go ride Saturday and spend the night. You will have to coordinate Saturday on GroupMe. Sunday’s ride out time is 10:00. The difficulty level is a 2.5. Kristin Jaffe will be trail guide Sunday. She knows LBJ very well. Her contact info is here.
Slip those boots on after church and join us for a ride around Lake Abilene!
Be sure to show a negative coggins and pay the $5 fee at the station.
Once you have your pass, you will U-turn back out to the highway and turn left. The lake entrance is on the right side 1 mile up the highway.

Join us as at this fun ride to help AN Issa Anderson raise money to be donated at the AHA (American Heart Association Ride). Day ride or overnight camping available, with some electric hook ups. Cost is $40 for the weekend, plus $10 per day. Stalls are available for $10 per day for smaller stalls and $15 per day for larger paddocks. Attendance for just Saturday is $30 per person. We pack up and head to TBarS on October 3rd!! This is one of our favorite places to camp! If you haven’t made it a point to go, you really should. We normally have so many going that we reserve the entire campsite. However, this year there were only 10 spots available out of the 16 and I believe we have filled those already. So, if you want to join us let us know and we can see if we can add you to our campsite or see if they had someone back out on their reservations.
We usually try to caravan so we will make plans for that the closer we get.

Primitive camp for the weekend or come ride just Saturday. Fourteen miles of back roads around Mount Pleasant. There will be live music on Friday night for those camping, as well as a big bonfire and karaoke on Saturday night.
RIDE UPDATE: We will be joining the GAHA (Georgia Arabian Horse Association) on Oct 5th for their Fall Ride rather than riding on Sep 28th as originally planned. Ride will be at the Georgia International Horse Park in Conyers GA on Saturday, Oct 5th meeting at 9:00 in the Steeplechase Field across from the hotel and riding out at 10:00. Alisia Waxman will lead the ride. Cost is $25 for non GAHA members and $20 for GAHA members with lunch provided. There will be an endurance clinic beginning at 1:00 as well. Should be a FUN, FUN day!

Stephenville chapter is doing an overnighter at the NRS Event Center and bunkhouse. Ride the grasslands Saturday 10/5…shopping at NRS…dinner in Decatur and ride Sunday 10/6. Then head home. Stalls are available at NRS center…$25 for 12×12 covered or $20 for 10×10 uncovered. To reserve a stall call (940) 627-3949
Meet at Towstring horse parking area at 9:30 – There are several options to ride long and short rides. Recommend shoes or boots. There are numerous watering holes and crossings. Bring snacks, lunch, and a lot of water. Riders can go up to Steel Bridge/Cabin Flats and back, or others can go up to Grassy Flats or higher up to Charlie Bunion or wherever they want to stop and return down the mountain.

Calling all Cowgirls…. Come join us for the final Long Ear Benefit ride. This will be the final trail ride that benefits the Ben Richey Boys Ranch in memory of the founder, Bob Grice.. It’s all primatve camping, but there is water troughs for horse, port-a-potties and showers for humans. 3 hot chuck wagon style meals served on Saturday with an auction Saturday evening. Sunday morning breakfast and worship services for anyone wanting to attend. All are welcomed, and encouraged to attend. It’s 60 dollars at the gate, and that covers your meals, coffee, and entry fees in any “games” going on. Please contact Luann Grimes at” 325-207-2509 so she can get an accurate head count…
Fundraiser event for Back Country Horsemen of Texas. There will be a ride, lunch included, an auction, prizes given and more! Items donated for auction are appreciated. The Back Country Horsemen of Texas help support equestrian trails all over the state.
Come join us for this fun, family friendly event! We will have a sponsor table and will help kids with crafts, etc. bring your kids, dogs, etc.!

Let’s join up with Brazos Trails Cowboy Church for a trail ride at the Grasslands. The ride will start at TADRA, and we will do the yellow trail, roughly 9 miles.
Tsali Recreational Arena – Trail Ride Left Loops. Remember you have to pay for daily parking online or in an envelope at the Kiosk. Bring plenty of snacks and water for a full day of fun and riding. Meet at large parking area at boat ramp. You can bring trail dogs to Tsali

C Bar Ranch is one of our favorite places to go! This is a weekend trip but you can come for a day or stay for the weekend. You must call Ms Martha to make reservations for a campsite. 254-749-6962 [email protected]. Difficulty level is between a 2 & a 3. There are lots of trails. Should make for a very fun weekend.

Meet at Whetstone parking area at 10:00, we’ll saddle up ride out to Adeline and possibly cross river if super low, if not we’ll make loop and go out through Spring house, climb the ridge and head back to parking area. 5 to 6 hr ride so bring food, lunch, snacks, and a lot of water. Trails are easy to moderate in difficulty.

Hope all can join us at Cedar Ridge Ranch in Senoia on Oct 20th at 2:00 (NOTE: Ride was pushed back to Oct 20th from Oct 5th due to our ride at Conyers Equestrian Park with GAHA on the 5th & Carson James Workshop on Oct 12th-13th). It’s a great place to ride with lots of trails. Cost is $5 and must provide proof of Coggins to enter.

So much fun to be had at Manchester Trail Riders twice a year Event, that raises funds for their care of the trails and campground. The fall event features food, DJ, a band and of course Halloween (trick or treat) for the kiddos, the children are taken around the campground via tractor and trailer. All of us Cowgirls usually dress up for the Saturday trail ride too! Water and power at each site. Minimal stalls available, but plenty of areas to high line or set up portable corrals. Bathhouse on site!
We will have our Boot for donations to our two charities: Cleveland County Hearts and Hooves & Southern Paws Animal Rescue.
Reservations can be made usually about two months prior to the event.

This is a fun ride in the beautifully scenic hills of St Jo on a private ranch. We’ll ride about 2 hrs on the trails on their ranch, play on their obstacle course, and then ride through the pasture to the back fence of the neighboring winery for lunch. They have a chocolate menu! The cost is $20 for the ranch and whatever you want to spend on food and wine. Negative coggins is required.

It’s that time again!!!! We will be heading out on 4/10/25 for our annual retreat. This will be our 4th year of going and making memories together!!
This is a PRIVATE Chapter Retreat.
Plans will be made for caravanning and carpooling the closer we get to our trip as well as dinner plans.
