Whether a member or not take a evening to round up with us to join and help plan some events as a group of cowgirls,maybe something you have in mind and always wanted to do…will be interesting and fun for all! This is a trail challenge that will take approximately 2 1/2 hours with 10 to 15 mostly natural obstacles. Entry fee for judging and prizes is $50 each day, $30 to just do the ride. For further info and sign up information see Rockin’ RJ Facebook page

Defensive Pistol 1 is the class to get you started in concealed carry
Working from the holster, we go thru presentation, sight picture, trigger press, and stance. The same as Basic Pistol, except now we are learning the difference between cover and concealment, different types of reloads, malfunction clearance, and shooting while moving, Class requires pistol, 2 Magazines at least, holster, magazine pouch, ear and eye protection, 250 rounds, snacks, and drinks. A camp chair is not a bad idea either.

Friday night practice to prepare for the buckle event on Saturday. You do not have to participate in the event to come and practice with us! $35 and no membership required to participate.

PCSP annual cattle drive from Millsap to the PCSP grounds. Further details on their website. RSVP so we can coordinate transportation. We will need trailers at both the starting points and the end. If we know who is coming we can coordinate it all!
There is a catered lunch at the possee grounds after the drive.
Come and join us in celebrating the start of the rodeo! This parade is always a good one with lots of community excitement. This parade will start at the 9th grade center, head north on Main St, go around the court house and the take us south on Waco St to return to the center.
Time to get together and support a local rodeo!

June 9th- taco lunch beginning at noon. $10 adult plate $5 child plate. Music Bingo at 2 pm. $10 first card $5 each additional. Both events will have cool prizes and raffles.

Ranch Sorting Practice put on by Tim Fields
Practice is $50.00 and starts at 6:00 PM. Possible Round Robin after practice $75 to participate. Must practice to enter Round robin.
Let’s have fun with the horses on some obstacles. There will be obstacles set up in the front pasture, arena and warm up pens will be open for riding. The church is going to have 3 Friday night events, 2 practices June and then a timed competition on August 16th that will be a patterned jackpot format. Free to the Public. The Annual Rods & Rails Car Show welcomes car enthusiasts from Wyoming, Utah, Idaho, Colorado, and more! Food trucks, face painting, raffle baskets and great music. Fundraiser for the Girls and Boys Club of Sweetwater County.
Save the date and get ready to cool down with a stout or lager while appreciating friendships, live entertainment and fresh air at the annual Sweetwater Blues n’ Brews on June 15, 2 pm to 7 pm in Bunning Park, Downtown Rock Springs.
We have been invited to camp, horseback ride and enjoy! This is the 57th Annual Little George and Lucy Havens Memorial Cowboy Camp Meeting. They have RV hookups, dry camping and will have some places for us to put our horses. There are quite a few planned activities for the camp for us to join in on if we choose. There is lots of land for us to explore, a tank for fishing, and other activities. This is going to be a great weekend for fellowship and building friendships. This is a family friendly event. There is no cost to camp here. There will be a flyer posted in a FB event with further details. Please text Heather with any questions.

Monthly grub night will be at Susan’s house on June 27, 2023 at 6:30 pm. We will be having burgers and chips. Bring your own drinks. We will be discussing the same topics as always. It is time for the annual Peach Festival! Weatherford is all spiffed up with new renovations and better grounds for the festival. The Heidaway is moving location and this will be the grand opening of the new space. She will be open 10-10. Presley Haile will be providing live music from 5-10 pm. Proceeds from the Heidaway directly benefit 5150 Rescue Farm so stop by and check out the new space, have a drink, listen to some music, and buy some beautiful art!
International Day celebrates the diverse heritage of Rock Springs each July. Known as the “Home of 56 Nationalities,” different cultures are celebrated all day through food, exhibits, costumes and live entertainment. It is the only ethnic festival of its kind in Wyoming, so you won’t want to miss it! This year’s annual festival features a wide range of local, regional, and international entertainment, activities for kids, exotic foods and unique vendor items. Performers from various parts of the world provide a smorgasbord of music and dance entertainment throughout the day. Food, drinks, music, arts, crafts and more all with free admission! See you on July 13th in Bunning Park!

Join us for the 8th Annual Cowgirl Up Fun Day, on August 24, 2024 at Nichols Ranch. Entries will start at 10am and 1st event will start at 11:30 am. There will be 3 horse events and 2 ground events. Teams of 2 and teams will be drawn at 11am. Cost is $100 per cowgirl. Buckles to the 1st place team and prizes for the rest of the places. Please call Susan if you have any questions.
Time to ride! Wyatt Ranch is always a great ride. Lots of good scenery and some water crossings. Terrain is mixed and does have some rocky areas. Ranch fee is $20

Top shooter will win Challenge Coin for bragging rights AND 25% of funds raised at event.

We haven’t enjoyed the Grasslands in a bit! Meet at the windmill, ride out at 9:30. Plan to do 4ish hours, around 11 miles. This one is barefoot friendly.
Join the Nichols family as we celebrate the 7th Annual Steve Nichols Memorial Rope In The Dust, on September 1, 2024. If you are roping then it starts at 11 am. If you are coming for the after roping fun, then it starts at 3 pm. BBQ to follow the roping. For more information contact Susan Nichols.
