This event is meant to educate in an interactive way. Each participant will get to practice safe methods to strengthen their connection with horses and offer relief. (Horses will be provided)
We will be discussing compensation patterns in relation to what discipline a horse may be doing.
Basic assessment of the horse and how to tell if they are sore/stiff.
Demonstrate and practice safe ways to stretch and massage a horse.
Go over anatomy that every horse owner should know.

This easy to moderately difficult 30+ mile loop trails begins in Kings Mountain State Park and circles into Kings Mountain National Military Park, the site of a famous Revolutionary War battle. The surface is primarily flat with some rocky areas and some clay spots. A local saddle club takes care to watch over the trails and ensure solid footing on some of the ridge climbs. Boots or shoes recommended.

Help promote 40SC and Equine Aid Sanctuary. Petey and Bandito from Equine Aid Sanctuary will be with us.
Join us for at Tryon International Equestrian Center for a night of fun to cheer on the horses and riders as they soar over massive jumps and race through the timers. We could all carpool or caravan and meet early for dinner, arrive before 4:00 for free parking. The event is FREE, only fee looks parking after 4:00. Lots of food options and shopping!! Please comment on this event if you want to carpool or caravan. As well as RSVP on the Event.
Please contact Joelle to RESERVE your spot and time. Certified equine dental team Barbara Brooks and David Kelly will be performing teeth floating and sheath cleaning. Cost is $100 for Teeth/Sheath or if you just need Sheath it’s $30. Please bring CASH or CHECK for payment, as well as some extra cash for our Boot for our two charities! We are keeping this a MEMBERS only event, unless we can’t fill all our time slots. So if you have a friend that needs this service, let Joelle know so we can put them on our reserve list.
This event will be held at Donna and Tim Frye’s farm, plenty of parking, complete pull through. Use 2455 Charlotte Hwy., York, SC in your GPS. When you arrive, use the entrance to the pasture with the gate. Do NOT go down the private drive to the home.

Meet us at the Buck’s Grave Road Trailhead at 9:30, riding out by 10:00. No restroom nor water at the trailhead. These trails located in Chester County, SC is surrounded by beautiful wooded floodplain, surrounded by upland pine woods and maturing hardwood forests. Some hills an a few rocky/roots areas. Boots or shoes recommended.
A multi-generation family owned and operated vineyard and winery nestled on 40 acre estate in the Tryon foothills. Let’s meet at 1:00 for an afternoon at this beautiful vineyard.
Members come on out to design and make your own hat! You will be transforming one of their stylish hats with a personalized burning technique. Choose your hat color and dive into the creative process, opting between stencil and free hand methods. All under the guidance of our expert instructors. What’s that, you ask?
Well… You bring your horse, and you grab something that can be a task or obstacle. 7-8am show up at D&D Livestock (outdoor arena), drop your obstacle/task item, and we will walk through at 8:05am. Folks explain their obstacle in the walkthrough. Then give space to each other, take your horse through on the ground to work any obstacle. Then, dewater or take care of any creature comforts, then we’ll have a horse & rider come through. We’ll make intervals so it’s a no pressure, have fun, try something new or old, and cheer each other on. Bring your coffee, bring a snack or your lunch—up to you to feed & refresh yourself.
Please NO dogs! Leave them at home.
All I need to know is what you’re bringing so there’s only 1 of that feature. Please don’t haul something that’s cumbersome. Not that this is what needs to be brought, here’s ideas to get your creative juices going…

Float the Green River in Saluda, NC
Let’s stay cool floating the Green River at 5200 Green River Cove Rd.,Saluda, NC. We will carpool there and arrive there by 10:00 to start our adventure. After our float which takes about 2-3 hours, we can have lunch in the cute town of Saluda or at the Tryon Equestrian Center!
Come challenge your horse to a large variety of outdoor and indoor obstacles! The cost is $40 per horse and rider, $10 for each additional horse. Richard Hames, trainer, will be available to to help you navigate as needed.
Meet at day parking at 10:00. Boots or shoes recommended for your horse. Water for horses available at trailhead, as well as vault toilet.
Join us for camping and riding at Croft State Park. Mostly flat trails, but there are some rocks and roots so shoes or boots are recommended.
Water/Power at each campsite. Horses are stalled at the barn, separate from the campgrounds.

Owners Tom and Pat Seay open their home and land for a unique cattle experience. Experienced or novice welcome, you will be guided and mentored by experienced cattle driving and team penning staff.
Lots of history at this old farm, you will want to have this kind of fun without having to go west. The most awesome thing is you bring your own horse.

Professional photos of you and your horse! Sunday afternoon, September 15 at Cane Creek Park, Waxhaw, NC.
There are only seven spots available and we need to fill two more to confirm the event. When there are five participants confirmed, everyone will receive a 10% discount!! Sessions will be available 1pm-5pm and start at rate $300.00 which includes 30 minutes of shooting and 12 edited photos. This is a great deal for priceless photos you can frame, print on canvas or show off to your friends on your phone, LOL. A nonrefundable retainer will be required at registration.
We will meet at the Horse Trailer Parking at Cane Creek, Lot #4. The sessions will be conducted in the grassy field there and/or just into the woods on the trail adjacent to the parking lot.
Current Coggins and entrance fee of 8.00 per trailer required to enter the park.
