Events vary at each play day! Entry fee $20.00 for all events of $10 for one event. Saddles awarded to each age group (excluding lead line.) Must compete in 3 or 4 play days to eligible for prizes.

Have you ever wanted to learn more about the Ranch Riding events? This clinic will be taught by Horse trainer Kim White from Rogue River Oregon. Kim trains ranch riding horses and students as well as competes in Ranch Riding classes in Oregon and California .She will be going of the fundamentals of Ranch riding and what the judges are looking for in a ranch horse show. This will be limited to 8 riders one session from 8:30-12:30 or 1-4 . Please contact Queen Lisa for your spot.
Cowgirls will be attending the Douglas County Mounted Posse meeting. This is another equestrian group in the area, and we attend so we can also help support their efforts in the horse community here.

We will be attending the Graffiti Cruise on Harvard Friday . We will be setting up chairs at Cascade Credit union . Saturday River Forks park look for the yellow Nova . Sunday we will be parked at the Seven Feathers Casino ..Come out and watch the cruise and car show !
Come walk through the Lavendar fields and pick your own bouquet to take home. They have lots of vendor booths and wreath making. Contact me if you want someone to go with ..opens at 9 -4

July 15th class will be a hands-on Horse class discussing Heat and Smoke acupressure points for your horse. Points that you can use during the summer when we have fires and excessive heat .
August 19th class will be a hands-on horse class discussing the 5 Chinese elements. This can help better understand your horses’ strengths and weakness.
Each class is $45 and preregistration is required so they know how many horses to have on hand.

We will be parking in the Backens Pasture and riding out from there down to the river . Be ready to ride out at 5:30 . Vicki will be the pooper scooper 🙂

Our monthly roundup will be at Country Tavern in Kilgore. Make sure to come let Brittany know if you’re coming so she has a table big enough for everyone!
We will be having a ride night at the Backens outdoor arena . We will have a few obstacles to use and patterns to practice . Cost is $15 per person

From Butte Falls, take County Road 821 (Butte Falls-Fish Lake Highway) approximately 17 miles southeast to Forest Road 3738. Turn west (right) on Forest Road 3738 and drive 1.3 miles to where Forest Road 3738 intersects Forest Road 3735. Turn left onto Forest Road 3735 and you will see the campground sign on your right.
From Medford/Klamath Falls (Highway 140), turn north on County Road 821 and drive approximately 2 miles northwest to Forest Road 3738. Turn west (left) on Forest Road 3738 and drive 1.3 miles to where 3738 intersects Forest Road 3735. Turn left onto Forest Road 3735 and you will see the campground sign on your right.
Cowgirls will be attending and either watching or showing at the Northwest Buckskin Show held in the Silverado arena at the Oregon Horse Center . Ranch classes will be Friday and performance on Saturday and Sunday. For more details please check out the Northwest Buckskin page on Facebook.

We will having a monthly arena ride in the lower arena at Backen’s . We can work on patterns or whatever we want to come up with. Park in the pasture by the barn and walk or ride down to the arena. You can come and ride as little or as long as you want. The cost will vary from $10-$15 depending on how many of us show up .
We have a fun camping trip planned for the beach ! Cowgirls have some sites reserved already and they are in 1&3 Come ride for the day or get a reservation through the state park website reserveamerica.com
We will have 90-minute lesson sessions with Kim White. Cost is $70. She will help you improve your horsemanship skills. She will also discuss the fast-growing class of ranch riding. Focusing on expectations, attire, patterns and transitions. You will leave the lesson with a feeling of accomplishment and have a great time !

Join us for a Bunco party ! Bring a snack to share,dress in costume and come play games . We will be doing some fun drawings too! If you don’t know how to play no problem ..we will teach you and it’s really easy and fun !
