A trail is open at Ray Roberts after tornadoes damaged the area. We’ll take a short ride and get back before it gets too hot.

Come ride with us before the heat sets in at Parker Bowie, Iva sc. Shorter ride due to weather. Bring plenty of water. Meet at arena at 9:00 AM.

Indoor stalls or temporary 12×12 outdoor pens available. Daily haul-in available.
Its Roundup Time for Cowgirls in N TX! We’ll plan some shenanigans, eat, drink, and be merry.
Park is open 9:00 am – 5:00 pm. Distance is about 2 hours’ hauling drive from Port Orchard area of SR 16. See Belfair, WA Chapter FB page or contact Chapter Queen Wendy Morrow for details on coordinating time for Cowgirls to go together.
Cost: $25 per horse/per day + $20 refundable Haul-in Fee per horse. All manure, straw/shavings, trash must be picked up and disposed of before leaving. Staff member will inspect your area and return the haul-in fee when clean.
Open ride – Full use of the Mountain Trail Park and outdoor arena. Free parking and stalls available.
Lets beat the heat with another lake day!! We’ll meet at Walnut Creek Marina where Misty will pick you up on her boat for a Redneck Cruise. Bring snacks to share for a picnic on the boat.
A few chapters are teaming up to resurrect the old Shawnee Trail Ride in Pottsboro, TX. Frontier Days in Pottsboro was started around the wagon train on its way through town, following the old Shawnee Trail that moved cattle from Dallas to Missouri and crossed the Red River at Preston Point. The Trail Ride disappeared about 20 years ago and we’re bringing it back! Join us for the planing if you want to participate in the planning.
This will be probably the last ride of the year at Hickory Creek before they close it for hunting season. Hickory Creek is a fun, fairly rugged ride. We’re meeting at the bridge. If youre coming and don’t know where to go, contact Carolyn Grayson, listed as the event coordinator and she’ll send you a pin.
Hud Roberts is a local custom saddle maker who will review general saddle building and fitting information. There will be a question and answer period. You may register to bring your horse and/or saddle for fitting review. Hud will demonstrate several saddle tree and saddle fittings. Location is to be determined based on the numbers registered. (Either Farmersville or Greenville)

LRRETA is an organization involved in maintaining the equestrian trails around Lake Ray Roberts. We’ll be joining them for their September trail ride. Lake Ray Roberts is a nice place to ride but can be a little rocky. Coggins will be checked at the main gate.
Clinic Fee: $200 Auditors: $20 per person payable upon arrival
Deposit of $100 non-refundable, due by midnight 8/30/24. Remainder $100 + $10 haul-in fee due upon arrival.

Hickory Creek is a fun, fairly rugged ride. The area will be closed in Oct through Jan for hunting season. So this will be our last opportunity for awhile. You’ll need an OK hunting or fishing license to access their public lands. If you’re from TX & over 65, you’re exempt.
We’re bringing back the historic Shawnee Trail Ride! The Shawnee Trail moved cattle from Dallas to Missouri in the 1800s. The trail crossed the Red River at Preston Point in Pottsboro. In the 1960s, some guys hitched up their wagons and rode horses from Pottsboro to Dallas to open the State Fair. The ride had its 50th anniversary in 2010 and disappeared.The 40SC are bringing it back! We’ll ride through the parade to kick off Frontier Days in Pottsboro and make a 14 mile loop to Hagerman Wildlife Refuge for lunch and back. Camping is available Fri & Sat nights.
Event held by The Lake Ray Roberts Equestrian Trails Association as a fund raiser to match funds for a new recreational trail grant. Saturday events are obstacle course judged in an arena and relaxing trail ride with judged obstacles along the trail. Sunday is also trail ride with judged obstacles. You can go for one event, one day, or the whole weekend. Some meals will be provided and negative coggins is required. Awards will be given to riders and equine

Fundraiser event for Back Country Horsemen of Texas. There will be a ride, lunch included, an auction, prizes given and more! Items donated for auction are appreciated. The Back Country Horsemen of Texas help support equestrian trails all over the state.
Enjoy the beautiful fall temperatures in the “hill country of N Texas” combining our 2 favorite things, riding horses and drinking wine. We’ll ride 2 hours on the ranch trails and then ride through a pasture to neighboring Arche Winery for lunch. You won’t want to miss their chocolate menu!
Come join us for a fun, fun, fun weekend of camping, trail rides including a scavenger hunt, costume contest, hoof care clinic and lots of food and snacks!

This is a fun ride in the beautifully scenic hills of St Jo on a private ranch. We’ll ride about 2 hrs on the trails on their ranch, play on their obstacle course, and then ride through the pasture to the back fence of the neighboring winery for lunch. They have a chocolate menu! The cost is $20 for the ranch and whatever you want to spend on food and wine. Negative coggins is required.
