We will be riding at 1099 (Part of Ocmulgee Bluffs) on Sunday, Feb 25 at 2:30. Directions to 1099 are as follows:
From Monticello, Ga take Hwy 83 south towards Forsyth. Travel approximately 12 1/2 miles. At mile marker #2, slow down. Note: mile markers are on the left side of the rod. At the top of the hill, just before mile marker #1, take the gravel road on the right. There are two metal posts at the entrance, but no sign. Will have our 40 Something Cowgirls Sign out by the road to help you know where to turn. Go 1 mile and you will see a State Park sign on the left where you can park your trailer. Camping is on the left side of the road as well.
From Forsyth, Ga (off I-75), take Hwy 83 North/East. Will reach a four-way stop at the intersection of Hwy 83 & Hwy 87. Stay on Hwy 83. Will cross some railroad tracks and the Ocmulgee River. Once crossed the River, Forest Service Rd 1099 is the first road on the left at the crest of the hill right before a curve. There are two metal posts at the entrance, but no sign. Will have our 40 Something Cowgirls Sign out by the road to help you know where to turn. Go 1 mile and you will see a State Park sign on the left where you can park your trailer. Camping is on the left side of the road as well.
From Jackson, Ga, take Highway 87/23 South and will come to a 4-way stop. Turn left on to Highway 83 heading East. Will cross some railroad tracks and the Ocmulgee River. Once crossed the River, Forest Service Rd 1099 is the first road on the left at the crest of the hill right before a curve. There are two metal posts at the entrance, but no sign. Will have our 40 Something Cowgirls Sign out by the road to help you know where to turn. Go 1 mile and you will see a State Park sign on the left where you can park your trailer. Day trail ride at Frady Branch – Chattahoochee National Forest, Toccoa, Ga. – 14.5 miles of trails and four separate loops to explore. Meet at the trailhead parking area at 10 am. There is a
$ 5-a-day use fee which you can buy a yearly pass from USDA Forest Service. Bring lunch, snacks, and drinks. See ya on the trail

We will be attending a trail ride organized by BTCC at Six O Ranch. Ride out is at 11, usually ride 3ish hours here.

We ride out promptly at 10am! Trailer parking behind the Benbrook Stables. turn on Stevens Road to access (right off 377-Dutch Branch Park entrance) then left on Lake Shore.
Lunch after at 3 Parrots. Dutch treat.

Sunday Afternoon ride at the Grasslands! Changing things up and starting from the Valley View trailhead to see the other side of the Grasslands. Charges for parking in the camping area.

This ride is presented by the Southwest Washington Regional Appaloosa Club located in Moscow, Idaho. A portion of the proceeds go to the youth program of Chief Joseph Foundation.
Come join this ride. You can paint up your horses with spots/dots, hearts or what ever will make it fun. Decorate away!
The ride is $30 which includes 2 raffle tickets into the general raffle and lunch. Extra tickets are $5 for 2 tickets. $5 of the $30 goes directly to the Evergreen Sportsmen Club for parking.

We will be riding from Gentry Wimberely’s house to Canyon Road Bar and Grill. This will be a 6-7 mile ride with drink stops if needed. we are planning to unload at Gentrys then convoying trucks and trailers to Canyon Road we will have a cowgirl uber to take the drivers who are also riding back to the horses. Come ride with the best… our official Trail Boss, Linda Deas. Linda is a very experienced Trail Hand and will guide you to the best trails and activities. She will be spending the week and all will have a great time. You can come for the week or just to Day Ride! She will ride out at 10:30 am each day. Bring your lunch or food as needed. To my understanding this is a primitive campground. You will need your generator for power, if you chose to stay. Please contact Linda with any questions!!
The Caddo National Grasslands WMA is located in Fannin County about 70 miles northeast of Dallas near Bonham. From Dallas take US 75 north for 35 miles to the SH 121 exit going to Bonham, another 35 miles to Bonham, and then about 15-20 miles northeast of Bonham to the WMA. SH 121 connects to US 82 at Bonham. Stay on US 82 18 miles to Honey Grove.
Caddo is a Federal Park Property. You can purchase a Lifetime Senior Membership Discount Card at www.Reservations.gov, or several others to pick from!

This easy to moderately difficult 30+ mile loop trails begins in Kings Mountain State Park and circles into Kings Mountain National Military Park, the site of a famous Revolutionary War battle. The surface is primarily flat with some rocky areas and some clay spots. A local saddle club takes care to watch over the trails and ensure solid footing on some of the ridge climbs. Shoes or boots recommended.
Come join us as we explore more of Little Sister Ashleys property. Please bring a sack lunch or snacks and your favorite beverage… All are welcome…

We will be having corned beef and cabbage and potatoes made by our cowgirls!!

Come join us at the Ocmulgee Bluffs for a Saint Patrick’s Day Ride on Mar 17th at 3:00. Let’s plan on wearing green and bringing a small snack to share with everybody before we head out.
This area is a beautiful place to ride. Directions are as follows:
From Forsyth take Highway 83 north east towards Monticello. Will cross the Ocmulgee River, and a few miles down, will go past the Enon Baptist Church on your left. Will see a big Ocmulgee Bluffs sign on your right where you turn left onto Smith Mill Rd after seeing the sign. There is a black horse sign with the words Saddle Horse Club written on it on your left as you turn in. Road is not in the best of shape and narrow, so take it nice and slow. After 2-3 ? miles, you’ll see the Saddle Horse Campground on your right and on your left, will be the entrance to the Bluffs where you pay and can park.

Trail Boss, Linda Deas, has organized a long weekend for Trail Riding. Plan will be to ride out each morning at 10:30am. This site is in the Davy Crockett National Forest. Join us at Abilene State Park for our monthly trail ride. Be sure to check in, show coggins, and pay your fee to the park station before heading to the lake. Lake entrance is left 1 mile up the highway on the right side. We park near the swimming/picnic area. See y’all there!
We will be joining the Troup County Saddle Club for a fun filled day of obstacle play and desensitizing beginning at 10:00 till 1:00, chili cook off and taste testing at 12 for an undetermined cost and then a trail ride after our meal – all at Pyne Park…If you would like to bring some chili, please let https://www.facebook.com/cheryl.allenhirgelt know. Can’t wait for this as it sounds like so much fun with a lot of fellowship and riding and good chili!!!!!

Hickory Creek WMA is a beautifully rugged, fun place to ride. The trails are now well marked and clear. You DO need a conservation pass to ride there, unless you already have an OK hunting or fishing license.

Day trail ride off Cannon Rd & FR 92E- Chattahoochee National Forest, Toccoa, Ga. – meet at 10am, saddle up and head out exploring the endless trails, waterfalls, and forest roads. Bring lunch, snacks, and water. Dogs allowed in this area. Trails are easy and shoes not needed here.

Meet at Whetstone parking area at 10:30, we’ll saddle up ride out to Adeline and possibly cross river if super low, if not we’ll make loop and go out through Spring house, climb the ridge and head back to parking area. 5 to 6 hr ride so bring food, lunch, snacks, and a lot of water. Trails are easy to moderate in difficulty.

This year’s we did our first ever fundraiser trail ride on New Year’s that was open to the public. We hosted it at our farm and offered prizes and raffled off items. It was a great success and everyone has asked us to do another one and we have decided to host another trail ride fundraiser for March 30th 2024 with a rain date of April 13th 2024!
Please join us March 30th 2024. Farm opens at 930 trail ride starts at 11. we have had some great feed back from our first public trail ride and will be offering color coded trails at different lengths so you can pick what works best for you! First ride out at 11am, come back to socialize with raffle drawing at 2pm additional rides after raffle and farm closes at 7pm. We will also have ribbons for your horses red=may kick, green=young maybe unpredictable and Gold = rider is single! We will have ribbons out with signs explaining. This got away from me at the new year’s day trail ride and I even forgot to put a gold ribbon for my own horse
. Alot was learned and we think our second public ride will be even better! It is Bluebonnet time in Texas and this ranch never disappoints! Let’s go take a ride and test our sense of adventure while checking out the beautiful landscape that the bluebonnets always create. Bring a lunch with you and we’ll take a picnic along the way.
The owner typically meets us to check Coggins, get release form signed and collect fees.
Meet at Whetstone Parking lot at 10:30, we’ll cross the river at Earls Ford into Georgia and ride entire big loop on Georgia side. We’ll follow river trail from Adeline and back down to Earls for crossing back over river back into South Carolina and back to parking area. Bring tons of snacks, lunch, and water. Shoes recommended on Ga side, trails are easy to moderate difficulty.

Come and join us for our Wednesday ride through the woods around beautiful Lake Benbrook. This is an easy trail and a little bit rocky in spots.
Meet at Hurricane Creek Parking Area at 10am, and we will ride out across creek jump on Big Indian Trail. Bring your chainsaws and hand saws. This will be first ride since winter storms. Bring saddles with water and food.
