The Cabin Fever Run is produced by Genesis Parker & Megan Matsuura, two members of the Green River Chapter of 40 Something Cowgirls. The barrel races produced by thee two ladies are always well run, fun, family friendly, and a great time.
This race has $2000 added and is a 90% payback.

The Farm Fest & Plowing Competition is the largest plowing competition on the West Coast, with 20+ teams of draft horses and mules.
See demos and meet the teamsters. Join for a day of old-time farming fun at this year’s event with Pioneer Kids’ activities, tours of the museum and 1880’s Hutchcroft School, old-time music, food and more!
Admission is $8 for adults and free for kids under 12.
This event is put on by the Yamhill County Historical Society-Yamhill Valley Heritage Center.

Jim welcomes both western & english riders. Whether your horse is under saddle or still in the ground work stages of training, Jim is very well versatile and knowledgeable.
Come prepared to answer the question, “What do you want to learn/work on?” Jim wants to help you with your goals and that is why he does one hour one-on-one sessions.
A one hour session with your horse is $160.
If you chose not to bring a horse there is a $25 per day audit fee. Clinic participants are welcome to audit all riders sessions at no additional charge.
Sessions start at 9am and go until 5pm, with a one hour lunch break from noon to 1pm.
Participants must prepay in advance to reserve their spot.
This is a day event put on by Extreme Trail Sports. Great for those new to the sport. Day rentals for stalls are available and should be reserved when you register but stalls will be paid for the day of the event.

Saturday Morning: In-Hand event obstacles are completed dismounted. You may be saddled, halters with leads are recommended. All non-riding equines are welcome to compete.
Saturday Afternoon: Obstacle Course is a mounted event in an area/field. A saddle (treeless included) and headstall with reins are required. All riding disciplines are welcome.
There is a variety of terrain throughout the property. The facility has gravel roads throughout. The arena has sand footing. The trails have dirt, mixed gravel, wooded area, and lots of trees.

Obstacle Course: $24-$44
In Hand: $24-$44
Continental Breakfast: $5 donation
Lunch: $8 donation for beef chili and chicken enchilada chili with chips and drinks
In addition to the registration fee paid to ETS, a $10 facility fee will be collected the day of the event to support the ranch.

Green River 40 Something Cowgirl, Kari Moneyhun, has teamed up with Sara Lowe of Sagebrush Training to offer a two-day confidence clinic focusing on ranch and trail obstacles. These clinic are fun, encouraging, and full of laughter. Sagebrush Sara works on building each rider up and strengthening your relationship with your horse.
Cost is $400 for the two day clinic. Current 40 Something Cowgirl members get a 10% discount!

Requirements for this Clinic participation is the ability to walk, trot, and lope your horse. His training will be provide a breakdown of each obstacle and the best approach to the completed pattern. Farmersville will be attending The 2nd Event in a Progressive Series of Liberty Training presented by East Texas Liberty and hosted by Sherri Gerstenkorn. Each Clinic session is $150. Audit is allowed at $50 per person and will give you a birds-eye perspective of the process! If this is a success and more interest is created, Sherri may offer this Series on a Monthly basis in conjunction with East Texas Liberty. Please feel free to contact Sherri!

Join us for a Memorial Day Getaway for the whole family and our Cowgirls Friends!!! Cowgirls will be trail riding with ride out by 9:30; Men will be cooking!? You are welcome to bring your preferred food and throw it on our grill, or prepare your own. Remember, this is remote, so there will be no running to Chicken Express at the last minute. Be prepared for your family. We will have a “pot luck” sign-up for sides and desserts. Bring your Kiddos, bring your Grands, bring your Friends! Bring your horses, bring your chairs, or hammock. Relax and enjoy a fun day together!!

We have another Trail Ride Weekend organized by Trail Boss, Linda Deas. According to Linda, this is a very beautiful park to ride in and enjoy!!! You can come for the week or just to Day Ride! Mounted Shooting is the nation’s fastest growing equestrian sport. Competitors wearing two single-action 45 caliber guns race against the clock, navigating through a variety of course patterns while shooting at balloons.

This is an event sponsored by Territorial Riders Oregon City Chapter of Backcountry Horsemen of Oregon.
Bring your digital camera or smart phone and find BIG FOOT!! Compete as an individual or teams of 2-3.
Riders out 9am-11am. The ride route is 2-2 1/2 hrs long. Finish by 2pm. Intervals are intended to control congestion on the trail and prevent a disclosure of a “Big Foot” find. You are in competition with those in front and behind you. There are 3 ways to win. You will be given a raffle ticket at registration AND you will receive one Poker Chip Draw Card included with your registration. You may purchase up to 3 more hands for $5 each.
Riders must return no later than 2pm to turn in their results. Prizes are awarded after 2pm.
Shoes are recommended for horses. Children are encouraged to wear helmets and dogs must be on a leash. (one player per horse).
For lunch, enjoy Brats and Sauerkraut, baked beans, potato and other side salads along with the necessary condiments. Ice water and pink lemonade are provided as well.
Entry Fee: $40 per rider; children 12 and under $20. Cash or Check. Extra Poker Chip hands (maximum 3 extra) $5 each.
Prizes are awarded to individuals or teams with the most points in the hunt, for First, Second, and Third place. Judges decisions are final. There will also be poker chip draws for other wonderful prizes as well as raffle ticket prizes for the 3rd chance drawing if you dont win in the first 2 categories, you may still win a prize.

Come out and support all the contestants vying for a national title at the super bowl of High School rodeo. Contestants will be from across the United States, 5 Canadian Provinces, Australia, Mexico, & New Zealand. The rodeo will showcase rodeo athletes as they compete for national titles as well as scholarship over $375,00.
Along with the rodeo action there will be a trade show and food vendors.

Wells Performance Horsemanship and Whispering Oaks Farm & Ranch are opening up the above dates to offer mini clinics aiming to get out of the Texas sun!! Start is 6pm and running to 9pm… you can ride for 1 hour, 2 hours, or stay for all 3! Nathan will provide instruction on various topics including warm-up Drills, Transitions, Lead Changes, Trail Obstacles, and Ranch Classes for the Show pen and more. Sip, shop, and stroll while tasting margaritas in Historic Downtown McKinney!! A cup and a map will be issued for you to visit 15 tasting stops, plus 5 Bonus stops on your map. Each stop will have a variety of samples for you to try.

There is a new parking area this year, just down the road from last year’s location. “We have updated the ride so you will not have to ride on logging roads and will stay in beautiful forest and fields.”

Bring a drink, a snack, a chair, and sit a spell to listen to a detailed introduction Short Course on the use and benefits of a Percussion Massage Gun. This course is offered publicly and hosted by Whole Horse Sports Conditioning LLC; many of you already know Brittany Jo and Roxie. I have one of these guns and I am anxious to learn more and correct ways to use it.
