This is a focused Clinic for “Building Confidence Through Better Horsemanship”! Nathan Wells will work you through some ground time and saddle time. Requirements for this Clinic participation is the ability to walk, trot, and lope your horse. His training will be improvements in horsemanship within each gate. This will help the confidence of beginners as well as experienced rider!! Limited space for six (6) riders. Audit is $20 per person. Come join us on Apr 20th for a Bluebird & Bluegrass Festival at Dauset Trails We’ll ride at 9:00, then afterwards, travel over to the main part of Dauset Trails and park our trailers to the left of the main entrance. We can either bring our lunch or get us something from a food truck and all eat together in the picnic area and listen to some great blue grass music as we enjoy each other’s company. All is free except food truck. So, plan on joining us for some horse riding, good food, and some good boot stomping music for what’s sure to be a fun filled way to spend a Saturday with friends!
Looking forward to riding on this beautiful 5.6 multi-use trail at Charlie Elliott on Wednesday, Apr 24th at 10:00. Trail is a good one – where most riders can ride side by side. Trails have been really cleaned out and updated!
This will be our largest Retreat since formation! Our fledgling Chapter has taken off and grown rapidly in the last year. We are looking forward to celebrating that accomplishment and getting to know each other better in the best environment we have to offer. Watch for our report and pictures!!

Books open at 9AM, Events begin at 10AM. Age groups are 6 & Under, 7-12, 13-18, 19-39, 40 & Over. Classes include Poles, Straighaway Barrels, Cloverleaf Barrels, plus 2 Mystery Classes.
Playday Series dates include March 2 & 16, April 6 & 27, May 11 & 25, and June 15 & 29. High point Buckles will be given for each age group! **MUST ATTEND 6 OUT OF 8 PLAYDAYS IN THE SERIES TO QUALIFY FOR END OF SERIES AWARDS.**
Cost is $10 per Class or $40 for 5 Classes. Payment due in Cash or Zelle.
Come join us at the Ocmulgee Bluffs for a Sunday afternoon ride beginning at 3:00 on Apr 28th.
This area is a beautiful place to ride. Directions are as follows:
From Forsyth take Highway 83 north east towards Monticello. Will cross the Ocmulgee River, and a few miles down, will go past the Enon Baptist Church on your left. Will see a big Ocmulgee Bluffs sign on your right where you turn left onto Smith Mill Rd after seeing the sign. There is a black horse sign with the words Saddle Horse Club written on it on your left as you turn in. Road is not in the best of shape and narrow, so take it nice and slow. After 2-3 ? miles, you’ll see the Saddle Horse Campground on your right and on your left, will be the entrance to the Bluffs where you pay and can park.

From Monticello, Ga take Hwy 83 south/west towards Forsyth. Travel approximately 12 1/2 miles. At mile marker #2, slow down. Note: mile markers are on the left side of the road. At the top of the hill, just before mile marker #1, take the gravel road (Forest Service Rd 1099) on the right. There are two metal posts at the entrance, but no sign. Will have our 40 Something Cowgirls Sign out by the road to help you know where to turn. Go 1 mile and you will see a State Park sign on the left where you can park your trailer. Primitive Camping is on the left and right sides of the road as well.
From Forsyth, Ga (off I-75), take Hwy 83 North/East. Will reach a four-way stop at the intersection of Hwy 83 & Hwy 87. Stay on Hwy 83. Will cross some railroad tracks and the Ocmulgee River. Once you’ve crossed the River, The 1099 Rd is the first road on the left at the crest of the hill right before a curve. Will see a 911 Emergency Sign on Right, then rd will be immediately to your left. There are two metal posts at the entrance, but no sign. Will have our 40 Something Cowgirls Sign out by the road to help you know where to turn. Go 1 mile and you will see a State Park sign on the left where you can park your trailer. Primitive Camping is on the left and right sides of the road as well.
From Jackson, Ga, take Highway 87/23 South and will come to a 4-way stop. Turn left on to Highway 83 heading East. Will cross some railroad tracks and the Ocmulgee River. Once crossed the River, Forest Service Rd 1099 is the first road on the left at the crest of the hill right before a curve. Will see a 911 Emergency Sign on your right and road to immediately on your left. There are two metal posts at the entrance, but no sign. Will have our 40 Something Cowgirls Sign out by the road to help you know where to turn. Go 1 mile and you will see a State Park sign on the left where you can park your trailer. Farmersville will be attending The 2nd Event in a Progressive Series of Liberty Training presented by East Texas Liberty and hosted by Sherri Gerstenkorn. Each Clinic session is $150. Audit is allowed at $50 per person and will give you a birds-eye perspective of the process! If this is a success and more interest is created, Sherri may offer this Series on a Monthly basis in conjunction with East Texas Liberty. Please feel free to contact Sherri!

Join us for a Memorial Day Getaway for the whole family and our Cowgirls Friends!!! Cowgirls will be trail riding with ride out by 9:30; Men will be cooking!? You are welcome to bring your preferred food and throw it on our grill, or prepare your own. Remember, this is remote, so there will be no running to Chicken Express at the last minute. Be prepared for your family. We will have a “pot luck” sign-up for sides and desserts. Bring your Kiddos, bring your Grands, bring your Friends! Bring your horses, bring your chairs, or hammock. Relax and enjoy a fun day together!!

We have another Trail Ride Weekend organized by Trail Boss, Linda Deas. According to Linda, this is a very beautiful park to ride in and enjoy!!! You can come for the week or just to Day Ride! She will ride out at 10:30 am each day. Bring your lunch or food as needed. This Park has hookups that must be reserved at www.Reservations.gov. Please contact Linda with any questions!!

Hope all can join us at Mingo Trails June 6-8 (Thurs-Sat) for some good trail rides at Mingo. No reservations, but first come – first serve! Our “official” ride will be on Saturday beginning at 10:00. Daily Ride Cost is $10 for nonmembers. See price breakout below. Hope to see you there!
