We will be riding from Gentry Wimberely’s house to Canyon Road Bar and Grill. This will be a 6-7 mile ride with drink stops if needed. we are planning to unload at Gentrys then convoying trucks and trailers to Canyon Road we will have a cowgirl uber to take the drivers who are also riding back to the horses. Rendezvous is a state sponsored event put on by Back Country Horsemen of Washington that is open to the public. This is a non-riding event. We offer educational classes, shopping, social and informative events and seminars. There are no fees for anything other than the Saturday nights catered dinner and the on-site camping. Time to start riding, cowgirls! We have a team for the 2024 Virtual Tevis Cup ! To get on the roster, we need your name, current 40SC member number and the bib number assigned to you through the sign up link below, in addition to the total mileage ridden. If you do not have a horse, you can also participate by walking/ running the 100 miles.
You can screen shot the app with your mileage, in addition to the sign up response with your bib number. There will be one roster for this event!

Caney Mountain Horse Camp in approx an 8 hour drive from Fort Worth. There are numerous videos on YouTube featuring Caney Mountain and all that it has to offer. It will be magnificent with all of the Spring foliage. This is a great opportunity to challenge yourself and your mount. They have guides and trails for all levels of riders. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR OWN RESERVATIONS. There is a restaurant at the camp. It is near Big Flat. You will see a sign that says Leatherwood Wilderness and another sign that says 1118. Directions are on their website campsites are $30.00 per night no hook ups available generator only. uncovered stalls are $10 per night covered are $20 Water is available and there is a bath house.
One of our newest Cowgirls Elaine Gober and her husband Travis our competing in the acoustic showdown, this event is part of care fest. winners of this event will go on to play at the big carefest concert on august 24. Elaine and her husband will take the stage @ 6:30. lets show our cowgirl some support and cheer her on
Come ride with us through the cedars at Wyatt Ranch in Glen Rose. This is a fairly easy trail with creek crossing and some ups and downs.

Turkey Creek Rodeo Club has Started their Open 4D barrel series. Exhibitons start at 4pm-6pm. Youth Barrels will begin at 6:30 entry fee is 35.00. Open Barrels will begin after youth runs entry fee is 45.00. 75% pay out on 1/2 splits this is a buckle series and you must attend 3 of the 5 to qualify for the buckle
