Rodeo Competitors

Rodeo Events:  Bareback, Saddle Bronc, Steer Wrestling, Bull Riding, Tie Down, Team Roping, Breakaway Roping, Barrel Racing,

Local Competitors  

There will be payouts for all local events.  All competitors must wear jeans, boots, and a long-sleeved shirt. Cow Milking competitors must wear a cowboy hat.  ALL COMPETITORS MUST SUBMIT A SIGNED LIABILITY FORM.  IF UNDER 18, THE FORM NEEDS TO BE FILLED OUT AND SIGNED BY AN ADULT. 

Events:   ​​

​* Wild Cow Milking – Adult teams of 3.  Cow is let out of the chute with a halter and rope on.  Team is given a bottle.  Have to get enough milk into it that a drop will let out into the judges hand. $100 per team. ​

* Mutton Bustin – Kids 4-6 years old and under 50 lbs get on a sheep and hold on for as long as they can! –  $35

Hello yall, On July 6th, 2024, the Banales family is having their annual memorial trail ride in Springtown, TX. All are welcome. The ride is approximately 7 miles long and starts at 10:00 am from the front gate of The trail ride travels down Chaparral Ln. Right turn onto J.E.. Woody to right on Prather. Right turn on to Goshon Rd. Right on Fletcher on to private property to the back gate of 199 W. Jake St.(or where199 W. Jake Street in Springtown, TX. the starting point was.) A live band will travel with us on the trail ride. Party with a live band after the trail ride. This event is growing bigger better each year. Bring you horse or riding club and come join us. Parker County Sheriff Deputies will do traffic control. July 6th, 2024 10:00 am 199 W. Jake St. Springtown, TX Ready to ride. See yall there!

Green River, Wyoming – National High School Finals Rodeo @ Sweetwater County Events Complex - Indoor Arena

Come out and support all the contestants vying for a national title at the super bowl of High School rodeo.  Contestants will be from across the United States, 5 Canadian Provinces, Australia, Mexico, & New Zealand.  The rodeo will showcase rodeo athletes as they compete for national titles as well as scholarship over $375,00.

Along with the rodeo action there will be a trade show and food vendors.

Come join our chapter at the amazing Gillespie Ranch in New Mexico.  This is a true working cattle ranch sitting on 30,000 acres in the Lincoln Nation Forrest.  There are limited spots available, so make reservations as soon as possible.  Full hook ups with covered stalls.  Yes, it’s in July, but bring a sweater or hoodie, you are in some higher elevations… Trails for all levels of riders…. All Cowgirls are welcome…

Sweetwater County and the Events Complex will be hosting 1,700+ competitors from 43 US states from Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Mexico for the National High School Finals Rodeo. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to be apart of the seven days of excitement! 13 Rodeo Performances, 4 Competition Arenas, Talented Contestants, Large Vendor Tradeshow, Concessions, Queen Contest, and Shooting Competition. This is a family friendly event and all are welcome! The Tradeshow if FREE to attend.
Kings Mountain, NC Day Ride @ Kings Mtn. State Park

located on Apple Road (Equestrian TrailHead).

Meet at 9:30, ride out by 10:00. $3.00 per horse.

You can put 1277 Park Road, Blacksburg, SC in your GPS, but remember you are going to Apple Road once you reach Park Road. 

This easy to moderately difficult 30+ mile loop trails begins in Kings Mountain State Park and circles into Kings Mountain National Military Park, the site of a famous Revolutionary War battle. The surface is primarily flat with some rocky areas and some clay spots. A local saddle club takes care to watch over the trails and ensure solid footing on some of the ridge climbs. Boots or shoes recommended.

Pre Show events may vary but they usually have mutton busting, teen cash scramble, and the adult cash scramble.

These trails located in Chester County, SC is surrounded by beautiful wooded floodplain, surrounded by upland pine woods and maturing hardwood forests. Some hills an a few rocky/roots areas. We love the stock show and Rodeo, we practically live there! If you go, take a selfie and we will add you to the roster. Specifically, we will do the following events:

 

Grand Entry 1/Go Pink night -be at trailer parking by 5:30 traditional parade attire

Grand Entry 1/TCU Night purple shirts, black 40SC vest

Grand Entry 1/Rutledge at 11 am performance arrive by 9:00 with long sleeve white shirt, black vest.

Grand Entry 1/Military Appreciation night- black vest and white shirt- we will provide red bandannas

black saddle blankets all days

***GE walkover with police escort is 1 hour prior to performance

*** all performances need pink wraps on front legs and pink wild rag unless otherwise stated.

All long sleeve shirts must be button ups. Arena attire!

Shopping ‘til we drop on MLK day!

you must have a physical copy of both your coggins and a health certificate to get your horse on the FWSSR grounds. No exceptions. They will not accept a coggins from your phone.
