Day trail ride off Cannon Rd & FR 92E- Chattahoochee National Forest, Toccoa, Ga. – meet at 10am, saddle up and head out exploring the endless trails, waterfalls, and forest roads. Bring lunch, snacks, and water. Dogs allowed in this area. Trails are easy and shoes not needed here.
Farmersville will be attending a Progressive Series of Liberty Training presented by East Texas Liberty and hosted by Sherri Gerstenkorn. Each Clinic session is $150. Audit is allowed at $50 per person and will give you a birds-eye perspective of the process! If this is a success and more interest is created, Sherri may offer this Series on a Monthly basis in conjunction with East Texas Liberty. Please feel free to contact Sherri!

Candi Jean will be here on March 30th for a boot fitting clinic. Candi Jean will be fitting Scoot Boots and Easy Care Boots, for the best fitting horses should be trimmed 2 weeks prior. There will also be a ferrier to do a quick trim for an additional fee. Please call or text Julie @ 503-314-3444 for a time slot.

Meet at Whetstone parking area at 10:30, we’ll saddle up ride out to Adeline and possibly cross river if super low, if not we’ll make loop and go out through Spring house, climb the ridge and head back to parking area. 5 to 6 hr ride so bring food, lunch, snacks, and a lot of water. Trails are easy to moderate in difficulty.

This year’s we did our first ever fundraiser trail ride on New Year’s that was open to the public. We hosted it at our farm and offered prizes and raffled off items. It was a great success and everyone has asked us to do another one and we have decided to host another trail ride fundraiser for March 30th 2024 with a rain date of April 13th 2024!
Please join us March 30th 2024. Farm opens at 930 trail ride starts at 11. we have had some great feed back from our first public trail ride and will be offering color coded trails at different lengths so you can pick what works best for you! First ride out at 11am, come back to socialize with raffle drawing at 2pm additional rides after raffle and farm closes at 7pm. We will also have ribbons for your horses red=may kick, green=young maybe unpredictable and Gold = rider is single! We will have ribbons out with signs explaining. This got away from me at the new year’s day trail ride and I even forgot to put a gold ribbon for my own horse . Alot was learned and we think our second public ride will be even better! We hope to have the same sponsors and even more for our spring ride!
It is Bluebonnet time in Texas and this ranch never disappoints! Let’s go take a ride and test our sense of adventure while checking out the beautiful landscape that the bluebonnets always create. Bring a lunch with you and we’ll take a picnic along the way.
The owner typically meets us to check Coggins, get release form signed and collect fees.
Meet at Whetstone Parking lot at 10:30, we’ll cross the river at Earls Ford into Georgia and ride entire big loop on Georgia side. We’ll follow river trail from Adeline and back down to Earls for crossing back over river back into South Carolina and back to parking area. Bring tons of snacks, lunch, and water. Shoes recommended on Ga side, trails are easy to moderate difficulty.

Come and join us for our Wednesday ride through the woods around beautiful Lake Benbrook. This is an easy trail and a little bit rocky in spots.
Meet at Hurricane Creek Parking Area at 10am, and we will ride out across creek jump on Big Indian Trail. Bring your chainsaws and hand saws. This will be first ride since winter storms. Bring saddles with water and food.

Come join us for the 1st Annual Obstacle course contest with Booths, tack swap, concessions, prizes, raffle and more. Registration starts at 8 AM Contest begins at 9 and goes till 5. Should be a LOT of fun.
We’re honoring the life of a great Cowgirl. We’ll be having her favorite trail ride lunch after, bologna sandwiches. I think someone is smoking a bologna. So bring a potluck dish to share.
We have moved our Tuesday night rides to Saturday. Time is subjected change with the weather.

Shady trail side is mostly flat terrain and barefoot friendly. Prairie trail has bluestone rocks and mid sized round rocks, so boots or shoes recommended.

To get on the roster, we need your name, current 40SC member number and the bib number assigned to you through the sign up link below, in addition to the total mileage ridden. If you do not have a horse, you can also participate by walking/ running the 100 miles.

Large meadow for parking big rigs. Trails are mixed high desert, two-track and cow trails with a few sections of volcanic rock. Gentle roling elevation changes. AERC organized endurance ride (fees are dependent on distance: 25, 55, 75) with a 10 mile introductory trail ride.
Joins us on a lovely trail ride w/Terrie @ Rafter L ranch. She will also have obstacle course available after trail ride.
Ranch Pizzeria is a great place for a late lunch in Coleman too. See you there!

Robbinsville Community Coggins clinic for Graham and surrounding counties. Dr. Jessica Scruggs, DVM will provide services. cowgirls will assistance horse owners and Dr. Jessica. We provide all advertising, forms, chairs, canopies, and tables, and will assist with paperwork and handling of horses. Bring your big trailers for comfort and bathroom facilities. This is another community volunteer project so I hope all you cowgirls can come. Please wear your Cowgirls shirts or pink shirts to represent out 40SC chapter

Come ride with us through the cedars at Wyatt Ranch in Glen Rose. This is a fairly easy trail with creek crossing and some ups and downs.
Meet at Hurricane Creek campground – we will ride up to Albert Mountain.Bring lunch, snack and drinks, don’t forget bring collapsible bowl & water for dogs & horses. Trail dogs allowed, easy to moderate trail because of altitude changes. Footing firm packed old forest road

We love to ride and this weather is great for a Sunday afternoon ride! The park entry fee is $7. Meet at the Cross Timbers trail head, ride out at 2. The trail is 7ish miles, so typically a 2 hour ride.

Come join us on Apr 20th for a Bluebird & Bluegrass Festival at Dauset Trails We’ll ride at 9:00, then afterwards, travel over to the main part of Dauset Trails and park our trailers to the left of the main entrance. We can either bring our lunch or get us something from a food truck and all eat together in the picnic area and listen to some great blue grass music as we enjoy each other’s company. All is free except food truck. So, plan on joining us for some horse riding, good food, and some good boot stomping music for what’s sure to be a fun filled way to spend a Saturday with friends!

3-4 days prior to date of event one of our cowgirls will call you to collect the remaining $10 prior to the date of event then your good to go on the guest list…Spaces are limited to 20 horses /day so we do offer a cancellation list and waiting list for our next rides to be offered to those on a first come serve basis. Many really want the chance to ride the shoreline horseback and or just enjoy seeing them even interacting with them.

Looking forward to riding on this beautiful 5.6 multi-use trail at Charlie Elliott on Wednesday, Apr 24th at 10:00. Trail is a good one – where most riders can ride side by side. Trails have been really cleaned out and updated!

She will go over how different bits work in horses mouth, choosing the best bit for you and your horse, how to balance your saddle to improve your comfort and safety.
