2024 SCHOOLING SHOWS

Come ride with us through the cedars at Wyatt Ranch in Glen Rose. This is a fairly easy trail with creek crossing and some ups and downs.
Meet at Hurricane Creek campground – we will ride up to Albert Mountain.Bring lunch, snack and drinks, don’t forget bring collapsible bowl & water for dogs & horses. Trail dogs allowed, easy to moderate trail because of altitude changes. Footing firm packed old forest road
Annalise has invited us to ride her family ranch! Kemper Ranch has some rocky areas and opportunity to play in the water. Can’t wait to see y’all on this beautiful spring time ride!

We love to ride and this weather is great for a Sunday afternoon ride! The park entry fee is $7. Meet at the Cross Timbers trail head, ride out at 2. The trail is 7ish miles, so typically a 2 hour ride.

Come join us on Apr 17th (Wed Mid-Week Ride at 10) at Maynard’s Mill. It is such a beautiful farm filled with beautiful trails. Cost is $10. Please be aware there are still two bridges out of commission, but many other trails to choose from.
Mineral Wells State park is a very easy ride. Come and join us!

Come join us on Apr 20th for a Bluebird & Bluegrass Festival at Dauset Trails We’ll ride at 9:00, then afterwards, travel over to the main part of Dauset Trails and park our trailers to the left of the main entrance. We can either bring our lunch or get us something from a food truck and all eat together in the picnic area and listen to some great blue grass music as we enjoy each other’s company. All is free except food truck. So, plan on joining us for some horse riding, good food, and some good boot stomping music for what’s sure to be a fun filled way to spend a Saturday with friends!

Many really want the chance to ride the shoreline horseback and or just enjoy seeing them even interacting with them.

The dogwoods are blooming at Caddo Grasslands!! #1, its a lovely time to ride at Caddo AND did I mention the dogwoods? #2, If you wait too long to go ride out there, when it gets hot, the horse flies get vicious. So come enjoy the Grasslands now while its beautiful.
Looking forward to riding on this beautiful 5.6 multi-use trail at Charlie Elliott on Wednesday, Apr 24th at 10:00. Trail is a good one – where most riders can ride side by side. Trails have been really cleaned out and updated!

East Texas Stock Horse Show! Come out and show off your skills and horsemanship. East Texas Stock Horse Association has continued to provide an excellent show series and trainers. This has provided our COWGIRLS with great information and examples in the Stock Horse show pen. Come out and support your fellow COWGIRLS as they show off their skills and horsemanship!
As with any competition, interest grows and our COWGIRLS are honing their skills. Come out and cheer on our fellow COWGIRLS or participate in this great Association. Join us for a fun filled weekend. Pick your events and competition level and show off what your skills. Monthly clinics are held the Friday before the Show weekend, so make sure you attend to learn what the judges are looking for at that weekend show.

Benefit Trail Ride for St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
Organized ride on Saturday with lunch on the trail and supper Saturday night.
Raffle Saturday for many different items.
Registration and payment is due this week for a headcount for meals. We have some great raffle items that have been donated as well.
You’re welcome to come the day of the ride without registering, but meals are only for pre-registered and pre-paid riders.

This area is a beautiful place to ride. Directions are as follows:
From Forsyth take Highway 83 north east towards Monticello. Will cross the Ocmulgee River, and a few miles down, will go past the Enon Baptist Church on your left. Will see a big Ocmulgee Bluffs sign on your right where you turn left onto Smith Mill Rd after seeing the sign. There is a black horse sign with the words Saddle Horse Club written on it on your left as you turn in. Road is not in the best of shape and narrow, so take it nice and slow. After 2-3 ? miles, you’ll see the Saddle Horse Campground on your right and on your left, will be the entrance to the Bluffs where you pay and can park.
If you haven’t joined us in a while, please come on out for a good day to ride with some wonderful cowgirls!

Woods Ferry Recreational Area Day Ride
Meet at 9:30, ride out by 10:00.
TrailHead is easiest found by putting Buck’s Grave Road, Chester, SC in your GPS. You will take Woods Ferry Road to get to Buck’s Grave Rd. This will take you to the gravel road that goes to the trailhead. No restroom nor water at trailhead.
Located in western Chester County, lies within a beautiful wooded floodplain surrounded by upland pine woods and maturing hardwood forests. Some hills and a few rocky/rooty areas. Boots or shoes recommended.
Meet us for our Wednesday ride through the woods on beautiful Benbrook lake. We ride out at 11:00.
Farmersville Chapter will be attending the Ultimate Ranch Show offering: AQHA Versatility. APHA Ranch Classes, and ApHC Ranch Classes! Please join us to cheer on our individual Members as well as to audit and learn more about all classes. RV hookups are available. Contact them at 940-627-3949.

ABOUT THE VENUE
Umatilla Sage Riders is conveniently located on Hwy 395 near Hermiston, Oregon close to the majestic Columbia River and the site of the Lewis and Clark Trail. Umatilla Sage Riders has a clubhouse, arena and trail course on site. Dry camping is available and you may bring your own pen or containment system.
The clubhouse kitchen will be open for light breakfast items and lunch.
A potluck is planned for Saturday evening.
EVENT DETAILS
Friday evening will be a fun Extreme Cowboy Trail Challenge sponsored by Umatilla Sage Riders. It will be set up so everyone will enjoy the competition. This is not an Equine Trail Sports event and scores will not go towards National or Regional events.
Saturday Obstacle Course (OC) – a mounted event in an arena/field. A saddle (treeless included) and headstall with reins are required. All riding disciplines are welcome.
Sunday In Hand (IH) – a dismounted event in an arena/field, halter and lead rope preferred. All equines welcome – any size, breed, and age.

ADDITIONAL FEES
Payment for ALL Amenities reserved at the time of online registration are due ON SITE and are NOT collected at the time of online registration. There will be a $10 a day haul in fee for anyone not camping.

A WSH “B” show and the first of the 2024 FCSC Shows. A two-day show that will put the best equine and human partner to the test. This is a 48 year tradition and we look forward to seeing you again this year!

Join us as we ride in one of the big parades of the year! Western Heritage Classic is a long time tradition, so let’s come out loud and proud!

Oregon Equestrian Trail is putting a prize ride. First ride is at 10a.m last ride out is 1pm, silent auction is at 3pm, bring a lunch food not supplied. Gonna be a lot of fun hope that ya’ll can attend. Competition in best matching pairs, best dressed. Obstacle courses challenge.

Come join us, Saturday, May 4, 2024 on our Trail Ride. This beautiful ride is in the area of the historic
“Chisholm Trail” on the G-C Ranch. The ride starts at 10:00 A.M. sharp. Lunch is provided, drinks
will be furnished. Porta Privies will be available.
It is recommended the horses be shod for this ride.
Negative Coggins required-no exceptions. Cost is $30 for adults, $10 for students, and kids under 12 are free.
