Join our Marvelous Mavericks riding the trails around the lake at Abilene State Park.
Check in at the office to show proof of negative coggins, and pay the $5/person park entrance fee.
Make a U-turn around the office and go back out to the highway. Go Left for 1 mile. Lake entrance is on the right. We park near the swimming area or in the first boat ramp parking lot.
The trail is a 2 hour ride. Bathrooms are close to parking. Yes, there are areas where you can water your horse.

Doc’s Bar and Grill has an event venue just to the left of the archway entrance. Mini Doc’s provides a private building, bar and wait staff.

We will be riding from Gentry Wimberely’s house to Canyon Road Bar and Grill. This will be a 6-7 mile ride with drink stops if needed. we are planning to unload at Gentrys then convoying trucks and trailers to Canyon Road we will have a cowgirl uber to take the drivers who are also riding back to the horses. A certified massage therapist will be available for appointments @ ranch. $35/30 minutes & $75 for one hour if 2 or more. ( This will be at your own expense) .

Rocking RJ Ranch – Stephenville: Ribbons, Cows and Fun and good food!!First show is March 16. There will be a cow practice on Friday starting at 4. Bring your trainer or just practice following a cow. Each cow is $20.
We have added a MUSTANG group! We have continued the walk trot division.
We have reduced the office fee to $15 per family.

The cowgirl annual bake sale to raise money for our t-shirt sale for Autism Awareness. There will be lots of goodies and maybe even a few non food items. Come out and support us, supporting a special cause.
Join us at Abilene State Park for our monthly trail ride. Be sure to check in, show coggins, and pay your fee to the park station before heading to the lake. Lake entrance is left 1 mile up the highway on the right side. We park near the swimming/picnic area. See y’all there!

One of our newest Cowgirls Elaine Gober and her husband Travis our competing in the acoustic showdown, this event is part of care fest. winners of this event will go on to play at the big carefest concert on august 24. Elaine and her husband will take the stage @ 6:30. lets show our cowgirl some support and cheer her on
Annalise has invited us to ride her family ranch! Kemper Ranch has some rocky areas and opportunity to play in the water. Can’t wait to see y’all on this beautiful spring time ride!

Turkey Creek Rodeo Club has Started their Open 4D barrel series. Exhibitons start at 4pm-6pm. Youth Barrels will begin at 6:30 entry fee is 35.00. Open Barrels will begin after youth runs entry fee is 45.00. 75% pay out on 1/2 splits this is a buckle series and you must attend 3 of the 5 to qualify for the buckle
If anyone is interested in volunteering for western heritage day at Hardin-Simmons, they are looking for people to show kids how to rope (like 1st graders). In the past HSU students who don’t know how to rope have helped but they’d love to have “real cowgirls/boys” come to show how it’s done.
It is Thursday April 25th 8 am- noon. Over 2000 kids are already signed up.
Other western things to show the kids are also open for suggestion. The six white horses will have a farrier working on them for one of the stations.

After each class the Judge will go over the score card with you and share ways you can improve. Events: Ranch Trail, Ranch Riding, Ranch Reining, Ranch Flag. Classes: Youth 10 U, Green Horse, Beginner, Novice. All day flat fee $50. All proceeds will go towards Western Women of Inspiration women’s ministry. Parade starts at 6:30pm. Judging starts at 6:00 so please give yourself enough time to make lineup. Parade attire, leather western tack and coggins required please.

We will start at 10am, then take a break and will then have a Round Robin. Will need 14 for the clinic to make
Come out as Queen Jen gets some free “labor” out of us. We will gather the cattle and work them this day. Make sure you bring something to drink and maybe a snack or two.
After “working” the cows, we will need something to eat and probably drink!
