This year they will have Aaron Watson and Kevin Fowler playing after the rodeo. Make plans now on your busy calendar to join our Monthly Roundup Meet & Greet!! Join us for another evening of 40SC Fun and camaraderie. You know it will be a great time with Great Friends… we will have lots of laughs, regardless. Our written challenge this month is to bring a new prepared Event Idea for consideration and planning. All ideas and questions are welcome. Invite a Horse Friend and come on to meet us, so we can meet you!!

Let’s ride…. Time to celebrate the 90th year Cowboy Rodeo and Reunion with a fun parade. We will meet at the parking lot on East 11th place and Johnson st. We will stage at 9am at the corner of 10th and Main. Parade is to start at 10am. Full parade gear, straw hats, pinks long sleeve button downs, polo wraps… Nice jeans please. We will have a truck to decorate, and for anyone to ride in who would like to. All Cowgirls welcome…
Meet at the fairgrounds at 9:15, saddled and ready to ride. We will ride over to the line up area behind Pizza Hut to get our parade number.

Platter Flats is a nice place to ride in summer. Its sandy, theres a nice breeze off the lake and the horse flies arent bad there.

Books open at 9AM, Events begin at 10AM. Age groups are 6 & Under, 7-12, 13-18, 19-39, 40 & Over. Classes include Poles, Straighaway Barrels, Cloverleaf Barrels, plus 2 Mystery Classes.
Playday Series dates include March 2 & 16, April 6 & 27, May 11 & 25, and June 15 & 29. High point Buckles will be given for each age group! **MUST ATTEND 6 OUT OF 8 PLAYDAYS IN THE SERIES TO QUALIFY FOR END OF SERIES AWARDS.**
Cost is $10 per Class or $40 for 5 Classes. Payment due in Cash or Zelle.
Its HOT! So we’re gonna meet at Big Mineral Marina on Lake Texoma and take off in the boat for a redneck cruise and do some swimming, drinking, and snacking to cool off and give the weather the bird!
All the rodeo fun with vendor booths and fireworks after the show! Our chapter is sponsoring the Queen’s crown. So lets show up in all our 40SC gear and make some noise!
We coined the phrase “Tramping” several years ago and it stuck… for a scheduled Trail and Camping Event! Plans now to be made for your Trail Riding week(end) or just a Vacation week(end). Linda is very familiar with the area and all the amenities. Shopping, Horse Races, Dining & Wining, as well as primitive camping. Bring your LQ, RV or Toy-Hauler! Please reach out to Linda ASAP for all the details and ideas to schedule a get-away!!
Come join our chapter at the amazing Gillespie Ranch in New Mexico. This is a true working cattle ranch sitting on 30,000 acres in the Lincoln Nation Forrest. There are limited spots available, so make reservations as soon as possible. Full hook ups with covered stalls. Yes, it’s in July, but bring a sweater or hoodie, you are in some higher elevations… Trails for all levels of riders…. All Cowgirls are welcome…

Its Roundup time again!! Lets meet at the new winery in downtown Gainesville and gab about all things equine and plan some fun shenanigans!

Come on out and share the covered arena for a morning of peaceful, comfortable, riding and training!! We will be here to help and assist, or just travel the trails in the dirt!! If you need assistance, do not hesitate to ask. Casual fun day… bring your preferred drinks and snacks for fellowship after riding!! Please do not forget to sign Arena Waiver and drop your $20 for Honor System payments!

Within TAMU Beef Cattle Program, they also offer this one day Seminar to provide a variety of Ranch Horse related care and management information and advice. You will not be disappointed. Watch it with us… the 2024 RUN FOR A MILLION !!! Bring you chair, your cooler, your snacks, your brew… whatever makes you happy and settle back for a fun evening in the “Barn” to watch the big screen telecast of this event! It will be a blast and no one can tell… what goes on at the barn, stays at the barn!!

We will be participating, again, in the 2nd Annual Horse EXPO at Longhorn Arena in Greenville, TX. This Expo event will include Horse Products Vendors, Sale Horse Alley, Food Vendors, Demonstrations, New & Used Tack, Stallion Exhibits, and Horse Health. Farmersville will have a booth and represent 40 Something Cowgirls!! We will also attend and participate in EXPO Demonstrations. The 2023 1st Annual EXPO was a huge success for our Chapter!! MORE details to come in the next year! Stay Tuned!!
And in final summary, our participating Members will wrap up their competition 2024 year back at Henderson County Fair Grounds in Athens!!! Come out and cheer them on! Your appearance and support is greatly appreciated!
As our interest grows and our Chapter Members develop their Ranch Competition skills, we will continue to participate in this great East Texas Stock Horse association!! Join us there for a fun, event-filled weekend. Pick your Classes, enter at your level, participate and learn. Monthly Clinics are often held to offer knowledge and training improvements.
