Come join us at the Ocmulgee Bluffs for a Monday morning (Veteran’s Day) ride beginning at 10:00 (Ride out time) on Nov 11th.
This area is a beautiful place to ride. Directions are as follows:
From Forsyth take Highway 83 north east towards Monticello. Will cross the Ocmulgee River, and a few miles down, will go past the Enon Baptist Church on your left. Will see a big Ocmulgee Bluffs sign on your right where you turn left onto Smith Mill Rd after seeing the sign. There is a black horse sign with the words Saddle Horse Club written on it on your left as you turn in. Road is not in the best of shape and narrow, so take it nice and slow. After approximately 3 miles, you’ll see the Saddle Horse Campground on your right and on your left, will be the entrance to the Bluffs where you pay $5 and can park. Any donations to our Chapter will be greatly appreciated.
NOTE: If coming from Monticello on Highway 83 towards Forsyth heading West, you’ll see the Ocmulgee Bluffs Sign on your right and as you are turning on Smith Mill Rd, you see the black horse sign with the words Saddle Horse Club written on it.
