We have another Trail Ride Weekend organized by Trail Boss, Linda Deas. According to Linda, this is a very beautiful park to ride in and enjoy!!! You can come for the week or just to Day Ride! She will ride out at 10:30 am each day. Bring your lunch or food as needed. This Park has hookups that must be reserved at www.Reservations.gov. Please contact Linda with any questions!!
Ebenezer is another Federal Park Property. You can purchase a Lifetime Senior Membership Discount Card at www.Reservations.gov, or several other Memberships to pick from!
Come and have fun and practice your trail skills. Amy will make it interesting and add a treasure hunt. Then we’ll test our skills with a horsey partner and play a few games. We will break for lunch. Amy will supply pulled pork sandwiches. Bring a side dish or desert to share. Amy will have water, otherwise please bring what you want to drink. There will be prizes. $10.00 charge per horse trailer. This event is for 40SC members and their immediate family members.

We will be riding at 1099 (Part of Ocmulgee) on Sunday, June 2nd, at 3:00. Directions to 1099 are as follows:
From Monticello, Ga take Hwy 83 south/west towards Forsyth. Travel approximately 12 1/2 miles. At mile marker #2, slow down. Note: mile markers are on the left side of the road. At the top of the hill, just after mile marker #1, take the gravel road (Forest Service Rd 1099) on the right. There are two metal posts at the entrance, but no sign. Will have our 40 Something Cowgirls Sign out by the road to help you know where to turn. Go 1 mile and you will see a State Park sign on the left where you can park your trailer. Primitive Camping is on the left and right sides of the road as well.
From Forsyth, Ga (off I-75), take Hwy 83 North/East. Will reach a four-way stop at the intersection of Hwy 83 & Hwy 87. Stay on Hwy 83. Will cross some railroad tracks and the Ocmulgee River. RIDE AT MINGO TRAILS JUNE 6th-8th
Hope all can join us at Mingo Trails June 6-8 (Thurs-Sat) for some good trail rides at Mingo. No reservations, but first come – first serve! Our “official” ride will be on Saturday beginning at 10:00. Daily Ride Cost is $10 for nonmembers. See price breakout below. Hope to see you there!

Come join us at the Ocmulgee Bluffs for a mid-week morning ride on Wednesday, June 12th at 10:00.
This area is a beautiful place to ride. Directions are as follows:
From Forsyth take Highway 83 north east towards Monticello. Will cross the Ocmulgee River, and a few miles down, will go past the Enon Baptist Church on your left. Will see a big Ocmulgee Bluffs sign on your right where you turn left onto Smith Mill Rd after seeing the sign. There is a black horse sign with the words Saddle Horse Club written on it on your left as you turn in. Road is not in the best of shape and narrow, so take it nice and slow. After 2-3 ? miles, you’ll see the Saddle Horse Campground on your right and on your left, will be the entrance to the Bluffs where you pay and can park.

Come on out and share the covered arena for a morning of peaceful, comfortable, riding and training!! We will be here to help and assist, or just travel the trails in the dirt!! If you need assistance, do not hesitate to ask. Casual fun day… bring your preferred drinks and snacks for fellowship after riding!! Please do not forget to sign Arena Waiver and drop your $20 for Honor System payments!
This is a focused Clinic for Ranch Rail, Ranch Pleasure, and Ranch Riding! Nathan Wells will work you through some ground time and saddle time. Requirements for this Clinic participation is the ability to walk, trot, and lope your horse. His training will be provide a breakdown of each Class and the best approach to the completed the Class. This will help the confidence of beginners as well as experienced rider!! Limited space for six (6) riders. Audit is $20 per person. Hope all can join us at Cedar Ridge Ranch in Senoia on June 15th at 10:00. It’s a great place to ride with lots of trails. Cost is $5 and must provide proof of Coggins to enter.
Please bring a picnic lunch and we’ll eat in the picnic area near the creek around 11:15 and rest our horses and ourselves! Hope to get us a cold watermelon as well!!!!

Playday Series dates include March 2 & 16, April 6 & 27, May 11 & 25, and June 15 & 29. High point Buckles will be given for each age group! **MUST ATTEND 6 OUT OF 8 PLAYDAYS IN THE SERIES TO QUALIFY FOR END OF SERIES AWARDS.**
Cost is $10 per Class or $40 for 5 Classes. Payment due in Cash or Zelle.

We coined the phrase “Tramping” several years ago and it stuck… for a scheduled Trail and Camping Event! Plans now to be made for your Trail Riding week(end) or just a Vacation week(end). Enjoy a fantastic weekend working with Carson James! Come see why Carson is considered to be one of the few with a ‘total package’ approach. He says, “Horsemanship is the one and only method that will work for every horse.” Learn how to adjust your ask and timing, better read your horse, get to your horse’s mind, and improve your relationship to obtain better results. Learn techniques to deal with most any problem and how to avoid them. Come laugh, meet new friend and become a better horseman, all while spending a weekend with your horse! What could be better?

We will be participating, again, in the 2nd Annual Horse EXPO at Longhorn Arena in Greenville, TX. This Expo event will include Horse Products Vendors, Sale Horse Alley, Food Vendors, Demonstrations, New & Used Tack, Stallion Exhibits, and Horse Health. Farmersville will have a booth and represent 40 Something Cowgirls!! We will also attend and participate in EXPO Demonstrations. The 2023 1st Annual EXPO was a huge success for our Chapter!! And in final summary, our participating Members will wrap up their competition 2024 year back at Henderson County Fair Grounds in Athens!!! Come out and cheer them on! Your appearance and support is greatly appreciated!
As our interest grows and our Chapter Members develop their Ranch Competition skills, we will continue to participate in this great East Texas Stock Horse association!! Join us there for a fun, event-filled weekend. Pick your Classes, enter at your level, participate and learn. Monthly Clinics are often held to offer knowledge and training improvements.
