We will be invading the Lazy TK for the weekend for our chapter retreat.. This is an exclusive chapter event…

Come join us as we assist Rutledge clients enjoy the benefits of equine therapy. We will not be riding, but will be assisting young adults who are undergoing cancer treatments. Whether riding the trails or grooming horses, we need cowgirls there to help.

Patients will book through Rutledge at the direction of their medical advisers.

Did you miss the fair?  Now’s your chance to see all the goodies..  Local vendors will be set up for two days with shopping, food trucks, and much more.. All are welcome…  If you attend, please get a photo of you there and just send it to Terri….All are welcome

LBJ Grasslands ride.  Approx 9 miles.   Some of the girls may go ride Saturday and spend the night.  You will have to coordinate Saturday on GroupMe.  Sunday’s ride out time is 10:00.  The difficulty level is a 2.5.  Kristin Jaffe will be trail guide Sunday.  She knows LBJ very well.   Her contact info is here.

Calling all Cowgirls…. Come join us for the final Long Ear Benefit ride.  This will be the final trail ride that benefits the Ben Richey Boys Ranch in memory of the founder, Bob Grice.. It’s all primatve camping, but there is water troughs for horse, port-a-potties and showers for humans.  3 hot chuck wagon style meals served on Saturday with an auction Saturday evening.  Sunday morning breakfast and worship services for anyone wanting to attend.  All are welcomed, and encouraged to attend.  It’s 60 dollars at the gate, and that covers your meals, coffee, and entry fees in any “games” going on. Old Sorehead Trade Days is upon us!  The streets of downtown Stanton, TX will be open to foot traffic only.  Come out and enjoy live music, entertainment, arts and crafts, antiques, historical tours, trading lot, and delicious food.

Come join us for this fun, family friendly event! We will have a sponsor table and will help kids with crafts, etc. bring your kids, dogs, etc.!

come in costume if you like, or have your kids/ grandkids come in costume. There is a contest. There will be food trucks (food for purchase).

C Bar Ranch is one of our favorite places to go! This is a weekend trip but you can come for a day or stay for the weekend.  You must call Ms Martha to make reservations for a campsite. 254-749-6962 [email protected].  Difficulty level is between a 2 & a 3.  There are lots of trails.  Should make for a very fun weekend.

Divisions:  12 and under, 1-17, and 18+    Top costume in each division wins $50!

Register at the clubhouse as you enter the property and signn a waiver before unloading your horse.  Potable water and restrooms are available, but bring your own chair and food.

Cowhand challenge!(sorting, penning, etc). All proceeds go to Rutledge Cancer Foundation! We will have a chuck wagon lunch available for purchase . This event is a benefit. Cowgirls only will have buckles to the winning team. The open division will have a payout. 4 man teams. Pre registration is encouraged and there will be a $50. Season premiere of Yellowstone! Let’s get together and watch! BYOB and snacks to share. Be on time, as there is no talking during the show!

Bring the family out and spend some time at Santa’s Country Christmas with us riding through 2 miles of lights on your horses! You might even get to see Santa Claus!! Ride out at 7:00 pm.  $10 per horse. Cash or card accepted.

We love the stock show and Rodeo, we practically live there! If you go, take a selfie and we will add you to the roster. Specifically, we will do the following events:

Grand Entry 1/Go Pink night -be at trailer parking by 5:30 traditional parade attire

Grand Entry 1/TCU Night purple shirts, black 40SC vest

Grand Entry 1/Rutledge at 11 am performance arrive by 9:00 with long sleeve white shirt, black vest.

Grand Entry 1/Military Appreciation night- black vest and white shirt- we will provide red bandannas

black saddle blankets all days

***GE walkover with police escort is 1 hour prior to performance

*** all performances need pink wraps on front legs and pink wild rag unless otherwise stated.

All long sleeve shirts must be button ups. Arena attire!

Shopping ‘til we drop on MLK day!

you must have a physical copy of both your coggins and a health certificate to get your horse on the FWSSR grounds. No exceptions. They will not accept a coggins from your phone.

We are headed on vacation with our horses. Trail rides all weekend! There are hook ups for LQ trailers and room in the house if you don’t have a trailer to sleep in! Space is limited, so let us know if want in!
