We will be invading the Lazy TK for the weekend for our chapter retreat.. This is an exclusive chapter event…
Come join us as we assist Rutledge clients enjoy the benefits of equine therapy. We will not be riding, but will be assisting young adults who are undergoing cancer treatments. Whether riding the trails or grooming horses, we need cowgirls there to help.
Patients will book through Rutledge at the direction of their medical advisers.
Did you miss the fair? Now’s your chance to see all the goodies.. Local vendors will be set up for two days with shopping, food trucks, and much more.. All are welcome… If you attend, please get a photo of you there and just send it to Terri….All are welcome

LBJ Grasslands ride. Approx 9 miles. Some of the girls may go ride Saturday and spend the night. You will have to coordinate Saturday on GroupMe. Sunday’s ride out time is 10:00. Calling all Cowgirls…. Come join us for the final Long Ear Benefit ride. This will be the final trail ride that benefits the Ben Richey Boys Ranch in memory of the founder, Bob Grice.. It’s all primatve camping, but there is water troughs for horse, port-a-potties and showers for humans. 3 hot chuck wagon style meals served on Saturday with an auction Saturday evening. Sunday morning breakfast and worship services for anyone wanting to attend. All are welcomed, and encouraged to attend. It’s 60 dollars at the gate, and that covers your meals, coffee, and entry fees in any “games” going on. Please contact Luann Grimes at” 325-207-2509 so she can get an accurate head count…

C Bar Ranch is one of our favorite places to go! This is a weekend trip but you can come for a day or stay for the weekend. Cowhand challenge!(sorting, penning, etc). All proceeds go to Rutledge Cancer Foundation! We will have a chuck wagon lunch available for purchase . This event is a benefit. Cowgirls only will have buckles to the winning team. The open division will have a payout. 4 man teams. Pre registration is encouraged and there will be a $50. Arrive between 2-3 pm. Line up is at 3:30 and the parade starts at 4. Coggins is required!
We love the stock show and Rodeo, we practically live there! If you go, take a selfie and we will add you to the roster. Specifically, we will do the following events:
Grand Entry 1/Go Pink night -be at trailer parking by 5:30 traditional parade attire
Grand Entry 1/TCU Night purple shirts, black 40SC vest
Grand Entry 1/Rutledge at 11 am performance arrive by 9:00 with long sleeve white shirt, black vest.
Grand Entry 1/Military Appreciation night- black vest and white shirt- we will provide red bandannas
black saddle blankets all days
***GE walkover with police escort is 1 hour prior to performance
*** all performances need pink wraps on front legs and pink wild rag unless otherwise stated.
All long sleeve shirts must be button ups. Arena attire!
Shopping ‘til we drop on MLK day!
you must have a physical copy of both your coggins and a health certificate to get your horse on the FWSSR grounds. No exceptions. They will not accept a coggins from your phone.
Join us for lunch after the FWSSR parade! There is plenty of parking for trailers. Dutch treat, but please let us know you are coming so we grab plenty of tables.Deadline to RSVP is Wednesday, January 8, 2025.
