Come explore Uwharrie National Forest and help support the Back Country Horseman of Uwharrie in their goal to keep our trails open to equestrians. Starting clues for the Scavenger hunt will be provided at sign up to find items and locations, have fun and win prizes!!!! $10 donation per rider/horse and negative coggins required.

Time to round up your cowgirls, members and guests! Let’s hang out, eat, drink and eat, while reflecting on what our chapter has done and can continue to do for our community.

Moonlight Ride!! There is a full moon during this ride and we hope to ride our horses on the beautiful sandy trails of H. Cooper Black.

Cowhand challenge!(sorting, penning, etc). All proceeds go to Rutledge Cancer Foundation! We will have a chuck wagon lunch available for purchase . This event is a benefit. Cowgirls only will have buckles to the winning team. The open division will have a payout. 4 man teams. Pre registration is encouraged and there will be a $50. Come and join us for an approximate 8 mile ride in the woods at the beautiful LBJ Grasslands. We will be parking at the windmill across from Grassland Getaway Bed and Barn. We ride out at 10:00. Difficulty level 2.

It’s our annual Christmas extravaganza! BYOB and bring a dish to share. Bring a qrapped ornament for our Chinese gift exchange. $20 spending cap.
Join us to ride in the York Nighttime Christmas Parade. We will be representing our chapter with as much Pink and Bling as possible. The meeting area for our trailers will be announced closer to the parade.
Please bring your most seasoned horse, as a nighttime event can bring new challenges.
Join us for the Lipan Christmas Parade. Parade starts at 5:30. Be there & saddled, ready to go decorations & all by 4:30. Parade attire will be posted on GM FUN FUN
A holiday celebration instead of a meeting for the month of December. Spouses are invited and always add a bit more gaiety to our annual Christmas dinner. White Elephant gifts range from cute, to practical, to utterly ridiculous….but always highly exciting when “stealing” is the name of the game.
I will have more details to share as the event gets closer.
Let’s represent our chapter by dressing in our best Pink and Bling to ride united! Lowrys parade is a full filled event, bring your candy to give to all the children lined up the parade route.

Grand Entry 1/Go Pink night -1-28 be at trailer parking by 5:30 traditional parade attire
Grand Entry 1/TCU Night 1-30 purple shirts, black 40SC vest
Grand Entry 1/Rutledge 2-1 at 11 am performance arrive by 9:00 with long sleeve white shirt, black vest.
Grand Entry 1/Military Appreciation night- 2-3 black vest and white shirt- we will provide red bandannas

you must have a physical copy of both your coggins and a health certificate to get your horse on the FWSSR grounds. No exceptions. They will not accept a coggins from your phone.

We are headed on vacation with our horses. Trail rides all weekend! There are hook ups for LQ trailers and room in the house if you don’t have a trailer to sleep in! Space is limited, so let us know if want in!
