We have another Trail Ride Weekend organized by Trail Boss, Linda Deas. According to Linda, this is a very beautiful park to ride in and enjoy!!! You can come for the week or just to Day Ride! She will ride out at 10:30 am each day. Bring your lunch or food as needed. This Park has hookups that must be reserved at www.Reservations.gov. Please contact Linda with any questions!!
Ebenezer is another Federal Park Property. You can purchase a Lifetime Senior Membership Discount Card at www.Reservations.gov, or several other Memberships to pick from!
Buckle Series for Shows: June 1, July 6, August 3
Buckles to: Youth 18 & Under, Green Horse/Rider, W/T Green Horse/Rider, Open
Classes: Ranch Conformation (halter), Ranch Reining, Ranch Trail (obstacles), Ranch Rail (regular and extended gaits), Ranch Riding (pattern class)
Green Horse: a horse in its first or second year showing in that particular class.
Reins: split or romel only allowed, no loop/barrel reins. May show two-handed in a non-shanked snaffle bit.
This Liberty Camp is currently FULL, but contact organizer to be put on a Wait List in case someone has a change of plans.
You have to preregister for the St Paul Trail Ride, you can do that at the attached link.
Come ride along the Willamette River and through St Paul’s countryside rain or shine. Riders will be led by the St Paul Rodeo’s Royal Court through the Willamette Valley farmlands
7:30am-10:30am – St Paul Rodeo Trail Ride breakfast served in the Tack Room. Follow attached link to purchase tickets for breakfast.
Before 9:30am – All horse trailers must arrive to St Paul Rodeo grounds. NO trailers allowed to enter parking lot after 9:30am.
9:45am – Riders gather on horseback in warm-up arena located in parking lot.
10:00am – Trail Ride promptly begins
noon – BBQ lunch begins, hosted by the St Paul Jaycees, for participants after the Trail Ride.
All participants must sign up ahead of time. Parking lot on Rodeo Grounds will be open for trailer parking. Riders, please check in at the Rodeo entry office and pick up a back number before the ride. Experienced riders on safe horses are welcome. Ride covers approximately 8 miles and takes 2-3 hours.

Come and have fun and practice your trail skills. Amy will make it interesting and add a treasure hunt. Then we’ll test our skills with a horsey partner and play a few games. We will break for lunch. Amy will supply pulled pork sandwiches. Bring a side dish or desert to share. Amy will have water, otherwise please bring what you want to drink. There will be prizes. $10.00 charge per horse trailer. This event is for 40SC members and their immediate family members.

Park is open 9:00 am – 5:00 pm. Distance is about 2 hours’ hauling drive from Port Orchard area of SR 16. See Belfair, WA Chapter FB page or contact Chapter Queen Wendy Morrow for details on coordinating time for Cowgirls to go together.
Cost: $25 per horse/per day + $20 refundable Haul-in Fee per horse. All manure, straw/shavings, trash must be picked up and disposed of before leaving. Staff member will inspect your area and return the haul-in fee when clean.
Open ride – Full use of the Mountain Trail Park and outdoor arena. Free parking and stalls available.
Michelle Fanning will teach ranch riding and reining patterns and how to better understand each maneuver found in these patterns.
Riders: $185 Non-refundable deposit of $85 due at time of registration

This is a focused Clinic for Ranch Rail, Ranch Pleasure, and Ranch Riding! Nathan Wells will work you through some ground time and saddle time. Requirements for this Clinic participation is the ability to walk, trot, and lope your horse. His training will be provide a breakdown of each Class and the best approach to the completed the Class. This will help the confidence of beginners as well as experienced rider!! Limited space for six (6) riders. Audit is $20 per person. Playday Series dates include March 2 & 16, April 6 & 27, May 11 & 25, and June 15 & 29. High point Buckles will be given for each age group! **MUST ATTEND 6 OUT OF 8 PLAYDAYS IN THE SERIES TO QUALIFY FOR END OF SERIES AWARDS.**

Come out early to save the best spots on the parade route, we want you to enjoy the St Paul 4th of July Parade with us. Parade will start at 10:00am from the High School, goes through town and around the Rodeo Grounds.

We coined the phrase “Tramping” several years ago and it stuck… for a scheduled Trail and Camping Event! Plans now to be made for your Trail Riding week(end) or just a Vacation week(end). Linda is very familiar with the area and all the amenities. Shopping, Horse Races, Dining & Wining, as well as primitive camping. Bring your LQ, RV or Toy-Hauler! We will be participating, again, in the 2nd Annual Horse EXPO at Longhorn Arena in Greenville, TX. This Expo event will include Horse Products Vendors, Sale Horse Alley, Food Vendors, Demonstrations, New & Used Tack, Stallion Exhibits, and Horse Health. Farmersville will have a booth and represent 40 Something Cowgirls!! We will also attend and participate in EXPO Demonstrations. The 2023 1st Annual EXPO was a huge success for our Chapter!! MORE details to come in the next year! Stay Tuned!!
And in final summary, our participating Members will wrap up their competition 2024 year back at Henderson County Fair Grounds in Athens!!! Come out and cheer them on! Your appearance and support is greatly appreciated!
As our interest grows and our Chapter Members develop their Ranch Competition skills, we will continue to participate in this great East Texas Stock Horse association!!
