Back Country Horsemen of North east Georgia is holding the annual Rendenza at Whetstone Horse Camp – please contact Katie Adams for site reservations and accommodations and meal tickets. All day riders are to be present and ready to ride out at 10am from the day parking area.

Franklin, NC – BCH Southern Highlands Meeting @ Clarks Chapel Fire Station @ Clarks Chapel Fire Styation Community Room

Meeting for the new Back Country Horseman Southern Highlands will be held in Fanklin this month at the Clarks Chapel Fire Station in the community meeting room. The meeting will start at 6:30 pm and last a couple of hours, so bring your own drinks and snacks, and note pad to take notes on important events to come. Also you can pay your dues at this meeting as well

Meet at New Ingles Parking lot,  then caravan over to Cataloochee Valley.  Meet at Cataloochee Parking area by 10am . recommend shoes or boots for trails, some are rocky, believe there are water crossings. Vickie is going to show us the trails. Bring water, snacks, and lunch. I do not know length of trails.

Time to clean out those tack rooms, bring out those crafts you make or any side business you have to sell your goods.

Outdoor event, so dress accordingly. No fee to set up.

Kings Mountain, NC Camp and Ride @ Sandhills Field Trail Barn

Join us as at this fun ride to help AN Issa Anderson raise money to be donated at the AHA (American Heart Association Ride). Day ride or overnight camping available, with some electric hook ups. Cost is $40 for the weekend, plus $10 per day. Stalls are available for $10 per day for smaller stalls and $15 per day for larger paddocks. Attendance for just Saturday is $30 per person. Kings Mountain, NC Camp and Ride @ Trail Ride

Primitive camp for the weekend or come ride just Saturday. Fourteen miles of back roads around Mount Pleasant. There will be live music on Friday night for those camping, as well as a big bonfire and karaoke on Saturday night.

Meet at Towstring horse parking area at  9:30 – There are several options to ride long and short rides. Recommend shoes or boots. There are numerous watering holes and crossings. Bring snacks, lunch, and a lot of water. Riders can go up to Steel Bridge/Cabin Flats and back, or others can go up to Grassy Flats or higher up to Charlie Bunion or wherever they want to stop and return down the mountain.

Join us to watch the thrills of a Professional Rodeo presented World Champions Rodeo Alliance at Tryon International Center. Events featured will include Bronc and Bull Riding, Steer Wrestling and Roping as well as Barrel Racing. Event starts at 7:30 and tickets (according to their website) will be going on sale soon. Join us at Leatherman Lane to celebrate horses and help raise money to battle Breast Cancer. Annual event that features various vendors, food, live music and of course horses. There is a planned trail ride!!!!One of our charities we support Cleveland County Hearts and Hooves, will be there to highlight there important work with our awesome participants from North Shelby School, Shelby, NC. Halloween Trail Obstacle Play Day – Ridets and horses are encouraged to dress up in costumes and compete in a costume contest, practice & compete on my mountain trail obstacle course. Teams will have to participate in maneuvering through the obstacles cool, calm & collected.

$10 donation to participate and money goes into our cowgirls fund

Meet at Whetstone parking area at 10:00, we’ll saddle up ride out to Adeline and possibly cross river if super low, if not we’ll make loop and go out through Spring house, climb the ridge and head back to parking area. 5 to 6 hr ride so bring food, lunch, snacks, and a lot of water. Trails are easy to moderate in difficulty.

We LOVE Leatherwood and all it has to offer, from trail riding, good food and drinks at their restaurant and now they have zip lining. Camping is available, stalls for your horses and paddocks for turnout. Small bathhouse. They also do home rentals if you prefer that! Kings Mountain, NC Camp and Ride @ Manchester Trail Riders

So much fun to be had at Manchester Trail Riders twice a year Event, that raises funds for their care of the trails and campground. The fall event features food, DJ, a band and of course Halloween (trick or treat) for the kiddos, the children are taken around the campground via tractor and trailer. All of us Cowgirls usually dress up for the Saturday trail ride too! Water and power at each site. Minimal stalls available, but plenty of areas to high line or set up portable corrals. Bathhouse on site!
We will have our Boot for donations to our two charities: Cleveland County Hearts and Hooves & Southern Paws Animal Rescue.
Reservations can be made usually about two months prior to the event.
