Time to start riding, cowgirls! We have a team for the 2024 Virtual Tevis Cup ! To get on the roster, we need your name, current 40SC member number and the bib number assigned to you through the sign up link below, in addition to the total mileage ridden. If you do not have a horse, you can also participate by walking/ running the 100 miles.
You can screen shot the app with your mileage, in addition to the sign up response with your bib number. There will be one roster for this event!

May 10 -11th – Bar W Rodeo Company – Sponsored by the Macon County FFA Chapter – Two Full Nights of championship rodeo with bull riding, barrel racing, breakaway, broncos, and much more. The Macon County Horse Association is opening their concession stand for amazing pulled porked sandwiches and platters. Bar W Rodeo is a local odeo company nestled right here in our Western Carolina Mountains. We hope everyone comes out to see amazing action and help raise funds for our local FFA and Horse Association
Franklin cowgirls meet at Ingles in Clayton at 9am, and Georgia & SC Cowgirls meet at 10:30 at forest 92E – come in on Cannon Road off Hwy 80 turn right on first forest road on right go down turn around on loop and line up heading outward for pairking,
Secret Waterfall trail is outside the borders of the Chattahoochee – Oconee National Forest on private land which they allow hiking and horse back riding out to enjoy the beautiful beach and waterfall. We have to pack in our lunch and drinks, and pack them back out. We wil have lunch and a picnic, play in the water and swim with our horses, so bring a sheet to put down to place your tack on it to avoid getting covered in sand. Bring shorts and bathing suits and water shoes. Dogs are allowed on these trails. Also bring horse snacks and doggie snacks.

There will be a raffle drawing sometime during the meeting; tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5. Ya never know what you have the chance to win. Bring a “new” friend and get a free raffle ticket.

This is a day event put on by Extreme Trail Sports. Great for those new to the sport. Day rentals for stalls are available and should be reserved when you register but stalls will be paid for the day of the event.

Saturday Morning: In-Hand event obstacles are completed dismounted. You may be saddled, halters with leads are recommended. All non-riding equines are welcome to compete.
Saturday Afternoon: Obstacle Course is a mounted event in an area/field. A saddle (treeless included) and headstall with reins are required. All riding disciplines are welcome.
There is a variety of terrain throughout the property. The facility has gravel roads throughout. The arena has sand footing. The trails have dirt, mixed gravel, wooded area, and lots of trees.

Obstacle Course: $24-$44
In Hand: $24-$44
Continental Breakfast: $5 donation
Lunch: $8 donation for beef chili and chicken enchilada chili with chips and drinks
In addition to the registration fee paid to ETS, a $10 facility fee will be collected the day of the event to support the ranch.

1st-3rd place Junior (age 13-17)
1st-3rd place Youngin’ (age 7-12) and
1st place Newcomer.

We ride out at 11:00 weather permitting. Lunch after at Hat Creek Cattle Co. This is a very easy trail, very sandy.

Tsali Recreational Arena – Trail Ride Right and Left Loops. Remember you have to pay for daily parking online or in an envelope at the Kiosk. Bring plenty of snacks and water for a full day of fun and riding. Meet at large parking area at boat ramp. You can bring trail dogs to Tsali

Ford river crossing area then return up to FR to parking area. Bring tons of snacks, lunch, and water. Shoes recommended on Ga side, trails are easy to moderate difficulty.

Come join us as we assist Rutledge clients enjoy the benefits of equine therapy. We will not be riding, but will be assisting young adults who are undergoing cancer treatments. Whether riding the trails or grooming horses, we need cowgirls there to help.
Patients will book through Rutledge at the direction of their medical advisers.

ABOUT THE VENUE: Tamarind Ranch is a 25 acre property that hosts a sand round pen, 72×31 covered area with excellent footing. 15 acres of forested trails are available for trail rides and walks. Self contained/dry camping is allowed. Personal portable corrals are acceptable and can be set up near your campsites. We offer boarding that includes 5 stalls and 5 paddocks and 1 medical bay stall and pasture board. In addition to the registration fee paid to ETS a $10 facility fee will be collected the day of the event to support the ranch.
EVENT DETAILS: This 2 day event challenge will consist of 3 events: In hand, Obstacle Trail, and Trail Challenge.
Rentals for stalls and dry camping are available and should be reserved when you register. 5- 12×12 stalls, 5- 12×18 paddocks (not covered). 15 dry camping spots. Personal portable corrals are acceptable and can be set up near your campsites.
SCHEDULE: FRIDAY: Gates open on Friday 3:00-8:00pm.; 1:00pm Early arrival check in for camping set up; 6:00pm Pizza & salad dinner will be available. SATURDAY: 7-8:30am NEW ARRIVAL CHECK IN; 9am Rider Meeting. SUNDAY: 7-8:30am NEW ARRIVAL CHECK IN; 9am Rider Meeting.
SATURDAY MORNING: In hand: the event obstacles are completed dismounted. You may be saddled, halters with leads are recommended. All non-riding equines are welcome and encouraged to compete! With at least 8 obstacles in the event.
SATURDAY AFTERNOON: Obstacle Trail: Any combination of pasture, arena, and trail (2-4 miles) with at least 8 obstacles. Multiple horses per rider may be allowed at host discretion. Please verify with the Event Manager to see if their schedule will allow for multiple horses.
SUNDAY MORNING: Trail Challenge- A relaxing trail ride with judged obstacles placed in camp and on trail. Ride at a leisurely pace with friends and family. Enjoy the sites as you improve your horsemanship skills. With at least 6 or more obstacles along the trail. One horse and rider per event. This event will take place at Jamestown/Three Beats Farm across the street from Tamarind Ranch.

We are headed on vacation with our horses. Trail rides all weekend! There are hook ups for LQ trailers and room in the house if you don’t have a trailer to sleep in! Space is limited, so let us know if want in!

Cowhand challenge!(sorting, penning, etc). All proceeds go to Rutledge Cancer Foundation! We will have a chuck wagon lunch available for purchase . This event is a benefit. Cowgirls only will have buckles to the winning team. The open division will have a payout. 4 man teams. Pre registration is encouraged and there will be a $50. Plan on a silent auction and some 50/50 poker draws (bring cash). Sign up link to follow.

you must have a physical copy of both your coggins and a health certificate to get your horse on the FWSSR grounds. No exceptions. They will not accept a coggins from your phone.
