Time to get together, eat some yummy food and talk about what our chapter is doing! El Cerrito is a favorite for many! whether you are a new member, belong to another chapter or interested in joining we would love to see you! Will have a raffle item, bring some cash.
Friday night 6-9 PM practice to prepare for the event on Saturday. You do not have to participate in the event to come and practice with us! $35 and no membership required to participate.
Roping, Penning and Classic (Trail) classes
Saturday is the Cow Hand Challenge. Sign up 9 AM start time is 10 am

Be sure to show a negative coggins and pay the $5 fee at the station.
Once you have your pass, you will U-turn back out to the highway and turn left. The lake entrance is on the right side 1 mile up the highway.

Join our Marvelous Mavericks on a fun filled 3 day primitive camping adventure to support Ben Richey and enjoy the Long Ear Ride. This year’s benefit ride is #12! Please reach out to “Long Ear Benefit Trail Ride” on Facebook to RSVP and get directions to the ranch by Oct 1. Ride is Oct 11 – 13. West on Hwy 1606 1/2 mile west of Hwy 208. Dunn Texas. Kids 10 and under free. All other ages $60.00 each. Gates open Friday afternoon, and serving 5 hot meals. Anyone interested in helping before during and after this ride please message our host.

Our 40 Something Cowgirls are heading out to Nitro Sporthorses to play Aliens and Astronauts with Big Country Equestrian Club in their Fall Show!

Let’s join up with Brazos Trails Cowboy Church for a trail ride at the Grasslands. The ride will start at TADRA, and we will do the yellow trail, roughly 9 miles.
Join our Cowgirls for a great cause! Hendricks’ Bunco for Breast Cancer is a long time tradition here in Abilene. This year’s theme is the Roaring 20’s!!! Get your flapper dresses ladies!
Our table will have 16 seats. Each of us will pre-pay our chapter Treasurer, Babe Chambers, to secure your spot.
* Registration fee is $35/person paid to Babe Chambers. 16 spots at our table.

The public is invited to come play on the posse’s trail course with prizes for the best costume (awarded at NOON).
Divisions: 12 and under, 1-17, and 18+ Top costume in each division wins $50!
Register at the clubhouse as you enter the property and signn a waiver before unloading your horse. Potable water and restrooms are available, but bring your own chair and food.

Come on out for a weekend of celebrating Jesus! Plus, horseback (trail riding and obstacle course), some fellowship, testimonials and a devotional on Sunday.
Please bring proof of a negative Coggins prior to off-loading horse on ranch property. Check in will be @ 2pm on Saturday 26 Oct 2024, check out will be @ 2pm on Sunday 27 Oct 2024. Primitive camping only. You may bring a generator and panels. Lori will assign meal items to bring for supper on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday.
Need/Want a stall for your horse? Please contact Terrie Eldred@ 325-636-7974. Stalls are self-clean and cost is $10. Please let Terrie know if you are bringing a very tall and/or large RV/LQ trailer.

Planning to “pass the hat” on Sunday for an offering to Rafter L ranch for allowing us to enjoy the beauty of the ranch and obstacle course.
