Time to start riding, cowgirls! We have a team for the 2024 Virtual Tevis Cup ! To get on the roster, we need your name, current 40SC member number and the bib number assigned to you through the sign up link below, in addition to the total mileage ridden. If you do not have a horse, you can also participate by walking/ running the 100 miles.
You can screen shot the app with your mileage, in addition to the sign up response with your bib number. There will be one roster for this event!

This is a focused Clinic for Ranch Trail obstacles goal and execution! Nathan Wells will work you through some ground time and saddle time. Requirements for this Clinic participation is the ability to walk, trot, and lope your horse. His training will be provide a breakdown of each obstacle and the best approach to the completed pattern. This will help the confidence of beginners as well as experienced rider!! Limited space for six (6) riders. Audit is $20 per person. We have another Trail Ride Weekend organized by Trail Boss, Linda Deas. According to Linda, this is a very beautiful park to ride in and enjoy!!! You can come for the week or just to Day Ride! She will ride out at 10:30 am each day. Bring your lunch or food as needed. This Park has hookups that must be reserved at www.Reservations.gov. Please contact Linda with any questions!!
Ebenezer is another Federal Park Property. You can purchase a Lifetime Senior Membership Discount Card at www.Reservations.gov, or several other Memberships to pick from!

We coined the phrase “Tramping” several years ago and it stuck… for a scheduled Trail and Camping Event! Plans now to be made for your Trail Riding week(end) or just a Vacation week(end). Watch it with us… the 2024 RUN FOR A MILLION !!! Bring you chair, your cooler, your snacks, your brew… whatever makes you happy and settle back for a fun evening in the “Barn” to watch the big screen telecast of this event! It will be a blast and no one can tell… what goes on at the barn, stays at the barn!!
We are headed on vacation with our horses. Trail rides all weekend! There are hook ups for LQ trailers and room in the house if you don’t have a trailer to sleep in! Space is limited, so let us know if want in!

We will be participating, again, in the 2nd Annual Horse EXPO at Longhorn Arena in Greenville, TX. This Expo event will include Horse Products Vendors, Sale Horse Alley, Food Vendors, Demonstrations, New & Used Tack, Stallion Exhibits, and Horse Health. Farmersville will have a booth and represent 40 Something Cowgirls!! We will also attend and participate in EXPO Demonstrations. The 2023 1st Annual EXPO was a huge success for our Chapter!! MORE details to come in the next year! Stay Tuned!!
Cowhand challenge!(sorting, penning, etc). All proceeds go to Rutledge Cancer Foundation! We will have a chuck wagon lunch available for purchase . This event is a benefit. Cowgirls only will have buckles to the winning team. The open division will have a payout. 4 man teams. Pre registration is encouraged and there will be a $50. Plan on a silent auction and some 50/50 poker draws (bring cash). Sign up link to follow.
And in final summary, our participating Members will wrap up their competition 2024 year back at Henderson County Fair Grounds in Athens!!! Come out and cheer them on! Your appearance and support is greatly appreciated!
As our interest grows and our Chapter Members develop their Ranch Competition skills, we will continue to participate in this great East Texas Stock Horse association!! Join us there for a fun, event-filled weekend. Pick your Classes, enter at your level, participate and learn. Monthly Clinics are often held to offer knowledge and training improvements. Grand Entry 1/TCU Night purple shirts, black 40SC vest
Grand Entry 1/Rutledge at 11 am performance arrive by 9:00 with long sleeve white shirt, black vest.
Grand Entry 1/Military Appreciation night- black vest and white shirt- we will provide red bandannas

***GE walkover with police escort is 1 hour prior to performance

you must have a physical copy of both your coggins and a health certificate to get your horse on the FWSSR grounds. No exceptions. They will not accept a coggins from your phone.
