You know it will be a great time with Great Friends… we will have lots of laughs, regardless. Our written challenge this month is to bring a new prepared Event Idea for consideration and planning. All ideas and questions are welcome. Invite a Horse Friend and come on to meet us, so we can meet you!!

25 mile or 35 mile $125.
50 mile or 75 mile ride $140. Trail ride $40.

If you cancel, the $35 you paid to secure your spot will be put into our Raffle
that supports local Equine Rescue programs. If you win, we will bring your
Raffle prize to whatever ride you and one of us Rogue Riders attends.
Friday’s 25 miler starts at 1 pm, meeting at noon. Vet’s will be there Friday
morning.
Saturday’s Intro Ride, 35/ 50 / 75 milers, for those of you riding on Saturday, please
Vet in after the 25’s are out on Friday, they leave at 1 pm. Your ride meeting will
be at 7:30 pm Friday evening.
We must have 6 entries for the 75 miler ride to begin

Our ride benefits horse rescue efforts in our community ~ come ride and
support us, or come volunteer. This is one of the most beautiful ride camps in
the NW.
We were also awarded a grant from PNER to improve the soil bedding in the
horse corrals at this camp so please check out what your PNER Trail
Committee money goes to! These collaborations are important!

1219 CATTLE COMPANY & 40 SOMETHING COWGIRLS, WYLIE providing their 2024 SPRING PLAYDAY SERIES
Books open at 9AM, Events begin at 10AM. Age groups are 6 & Under, 7-12, 13-18, 19-39, 40 & Over. Classes include Poles, Straighaway Barrels, Cloverleaf Barrels, plus 2 Mystery Classes.
Playday Series dates include March 2 & 16, April 6 & 27, May 11 & 25, and June 15 & 29. High point Buckles will be given for each age group! **MUST ATTEND 6 OUT OF 8 PLAYDAYS IN THE SERIES TO QUALIFY FOR END OF SERIES AWARDS.**
Cost is $10 per Class or $40 for 5 Classes. Payment due in Cash or Zelle.
Have you ever wanted to learn more about the Ranch Riding events? This clinic will be taught by Horse trainer Kim White from Rogue River Oregon. Kim trains ranch riding horses and students as well as competes in Ranch Riding classes in Oregon and California .She will be going of the fundamentals of Ranch riding and what the judges are looking for in a ranch horse show. This will be limited to 8 riders one session from 8:30-12:30 or 1-4 . Please contact Queen Lisa for your spot.
Cowgirls will be attending the Douglas County Mounted Posse meeting. This is another equestrian group in the area, and we attend so we can also help support their efforts in the horse community here.
4th of July parade. Line up starts at 7am and parade begins at 9am. Rain or shine (unless its dangerous weather). Parking will be in the waterpark parking lot.
Come join us for a fun day of being introduced to Competitive Mounted Orienteering! Kathy is very graciously donating her expertise and time to help us gain a peek into this fun event!
There will be a 2 hour basic reading, navigating, etc.
Short lunch break
Then we saddle up and head out into the woods to navigate and find 4 plates!
What to bring: Your own lunch, drink and a horse. Yeehaw!
Kathy wants to provide us insight into this fun sport. You can ride as a team or individually and compete through the year if you desire.
Please do RSVP by June 30th to Kathy so she will have a head count. Currently, there is no limit to the number of riders, but as she gets an idea of how long the list may be, there may be a waitlist needed. So check in with her early!

We coined the phrase “Tramping” several years ago and it stuck… for a scheduled Trail and Camping Event! Plans now to be made for your Trail Riding week(end) or just a Vacation week(end). Linda is very familiar with the area and all the amenities. Shopping, Horse Races, Dining & Wining, as well as primitive camping. Bring your LQ, RV or Toy-Hauler! July 15th class will be a hands-on Horse class discussing Heat and Smoke acupressure points for your horse. Points that you can use during the summer when we have fires and excessive heat .
August 19th class will be a hands-on horse class discussing the 5 Chinese elements. This can help better understand your horses’ strengths and weakness.
Each class is $45 and preregistration is required so they know how many horses to have on hand.

Hico Settlers parade. Full parade attire (without scarf and polo wraps, too hot). Parking behind the fire department on the grassy area. Parade starts at 7pm.

Stephenville chapter is doing an overnighter at the NRS Event Center and bunkhouse. Ride the grasslands Saturday 10/5…shopping at NRS…dinner in Decatur and ride Sunday 10/6. Then head home. We will be participating, again, in the 2nd Annual Horse EXPO at Longhorn Arena in Greenville, TX. This Expo event will include Horse Products Vendors, Sale Horse Alley, Food Vendors, Demonstrations, New & Used Tack, Stallion Exhibits, and Horse Health. Farmersville will have a booth and represent 40 Something Cowgirls!! We will also attend and participate in EXPO Demonstrations. The 2023 1st Annual EXPO was a huge success for our Chapter!!
