Come join us at the Ocmulgee Bluffs for a mid-week morning ride on Thursday, May 30th at 10:00.
This area is a beautiful place to ride. Directions are as follows:
From Forsyth take Highway 83 north east towards Monticello. Will cross the Ocmulgee River, and a few miles down, will go past the Enon Baptist Church on your left. Will see a big Ocmulgee Bluffs sign on your right where you turn left onto Smith Mill Rd after seeing the sign. There is a black horse sign with the words Saddle Horse Club written on it on your left as you turn in. Road is not in the best of shape and narrow, so take it nice and slow. After 2-3 ? miles, you’ll see the Saddle Horse Campground on your right and on your left, will be the entrance to the Bluffs where you pay and can park.
If you haven’t joined us in a while, please come on out for a good day to ride with some wonderful cowgirls!
Mounted Shooting is the nation’s fastest growing equestrian sport. Competitors wearing two single-action 45 caliber guns race against the clock, navigating through a variety of course patterns while shooting at balloons.

We will be riding at 1099 (Part of Ocmulgee) on Sunday, June 2nd, at 3:00. Directions to 1099 are as follows:
From Monticello, Ga take Hwy 83 south/west towards Forsyth. Travel approximately 12 1/2 miles. At mile marker #2, slow down. Note: mile markers are on the left side of the road. At the top of the hill, just after mile marker #1, take the gravel road (Forest Service Rd 1099) on the right. There are two metal posts at the entrance, but no sign. Will have our 40 Something Cowgirls Sign out by the road to help you know where to turn. Go 1 mile and you will see a State Park sign on the left where you can park your trailer. Primitive Camping is on the left and right sides of the road as well.
From Forsyth, Ga (off I-75), take Hwy 83 North/East. Will reach a four-way stop at the intersection of Hwy 83 & Hwy 87. Stay on Hwy 83. Will cross some railroad tracks and the Ocmulgee River. Once you’ve crossed the River, the 1099 Forest Service Rd is the first road on the left at the crest of the hill right before a curve – right after the 911 emergency sign turn immediately to your left. RIDE AT MINGO TRAILS JUNE 6th-8th
Hope all can join us at Mingo Trails June 6-8 (Thurs-Sat) for some good trail rides at Mingo. No reservations, but first come – first serve! Our “official” ride will be on Saturday beginning at 10:00. Daily Ride Cost is $10 for nonmembers. See price breakout below. Hope to see you there!

Kick summer off with an evening of rodeo action. From the classic event of bareback riding, saddle bronc, the fan favorite of bull riding, the pretty gals and fast horses of barrel racing and all the timed events as well.
Gates open at 6pm and rodeo action kicks off at 7pm.

Bear Creek Hounds
Hope all can join us at Cedar Ridge Ranch in Senoia on June 15th at 10:00. It’s a great place to ride with lots of trails. Cost is $5 and must provide proof of Coggins to enter.
Please bring a picnic lunch and we’ll eat in the picnic area near the creek around 11:15 and rest our horses and ourselves! Hope to get us a cold watermelon as well!!!!

Friday’s 25 miler starts at 1 pm, meeting at noon. Vet’s will be there Friday
morning.
Saturday’s Intro Ride, 35/ 50 / 75 milers, for those of you riding on Saturday, please
Vet in after the 25’s are out on Friday, they leave at 1 pm. Your ride meeting will
be at 7:30 pm Friday evening.

support us, or come volunteer. This is one of the most beautiful ride camps in
the NW.

Looking forward to riding at the Georgia International Horse Park in Conyers GA on Saturday, June 22nd at 10:00. They have many shaded trails and should be a lot of fun! Bring your lunch and we’ll eat around 12:00 on the trail. Should be a FUN, FUN day!

Come out and support all the contestants vying for a national title at the super bowl of High School rodeo. Contestants will be from across the United States, 5 Canadian Provinces, Australia, Mexico, & New Zealand. The rodeo will showcase rodeo athletes as they compete for national titles as well as scholarship over $375,00.
Along with the rodeo action there will be a trade show and food vendors.

Enjoy rodeo action at the professional level at the Red Desert Roundup PRCA Rodeo.
From the classic events of Saddle Bronc , bareback, the fan favorite of bull riding, and the pretty girls & fast horses of barrel racing. Don’t forget the classic timed events of team roping, steer wrestling, and calf roping.
Pre Show events may vary but they usually have mutton busting, teen cash scramble, and the adult cash scramble.
Join in on the fun of the local county fair. From livestock shows to fair food, exhibits, vendors, the carnival and concerts there is a little bit of something for everyone.
